20/04/2026: I stayed for two nights on a business trip. It was excellent in every way: the room was simple but spotlessly clean, the dinner was excellent, the staff were incredibly friendly, and I felt right at home. I'll be back!
06/04/2026: We returned after a few years, and "Eliseo" continues to be an excellent choice both as a B&B and as a restaurant. The Easter lunch was plentiful and delicious; the spinach flan deserves special mention. Eliseo remains our go-to in Garfagnana.

06/04/2026: We had lunch today, Easter Monday, for four of us. Everything in Viareggio was full; we were wrong not to book on a day like today, but at Bagno Irene they tried to accommodate us. They had a set menu with a choice of two first courses and two second courses, and for the price, I have to say everything was just right in quantity and excellent. I asked for my mixed fried fish to be unsalted, and they accommodated that as well. The staff was very busy for the day, but helpful. Definitely recommended.

08/04/2026: Food to die for - which you might do getting there if you are not careful as the roads are incredibly steep and twisty. But make the effort as wonderful food, incredible views, lovely friendly staff, and very good value at €12 for the set menu (two courses wine and coffee!!!!)

20/04/2026: We tried this place after reading previous reviews. It was an absolutely positive experience. We tried the tordelli, and they were truly excellent. The pastry is just the right thickness, and the filling is delicious and flavorful. The wood-fired pizzas are also excellent. There's a wide selection of desserts. We opted for the rice cake: spectacular. Attentive service, and the place is very well-maintained. The prices are truly fair. We'll definitely be back.
We've been back and can confirm what we said previously. Thanks to all the wait staff, who make you feel at home.

08/12/2025: I asked my neighbors in San Concordio where they like to get a pizza and it's easy to see why they told me to go to here.
This is a classic, proper place to get pizza in Lucca. It's not Napoletano-style pizza, but a more proper local/Tuscan style. It's delicious and priced extremely well.
I recommend only getting the larger pizza if you're going to split it with someone. Otherwise, the smaller size is great for an individual. They also have slices if that's all you need or if you want to try a couple different types!
Expect a 10 to 15 minute wait for the pizza to be cooked.
