08/06/2025: The food was very good. The spaghetti carbonara was excellent. The wine was also very good. But for some reason they forgot to serve water. And in such heat. But overall everything was good.

11/05/2025: Location mozzafiato, personale veramente cortesi e cibo da 4 stelle solo per il chees cake che non era buono aveva solo panna li avevo detto al camariere ma ha fatto finta di niente ! La bistecche alla Fiorentina era buona anche i antipasti. Per non parlare della location con una terrazza mozzafiato che affaccia sulle colline del chianti. Se volete vivere l’esperienza del chianti siete nel posto giusto! Consigliato

02/05/2025: Abbiamo pranzato con primo di tagliatelle, (buone) , secondo scotta dito ma queste erano grasse con poca carne, insalata fagioli, acqua e mezzo litro di vino. Devo dire che il conto era molto caro rispetto alle aspettative, con questo prezzo ce di meglio

30/05/2025: Conosco la Capponcina dalla fine degli Anni Novanta e, nel tempo, le ho visto cambiare volto (e gestione) più volte. Ho sempre amato questo luogo, perché è in una posizione appena fuori le porte di Firenze che, soprattutto nel periodo estivo, ti regala una vista impagabile davanti a memorabili tramonti. Sì, perché alla Capponcina, già da metà maggio, è possibile mangiare all'aperto, in un'atmosfera accogliente e allo stesso tempo romantica. Ieri sera ci sono stata per la prima volta da quando, ad inizio 2025, ha cambiato gestione. Devo dire che avrei voluto assaggiare tutto, perché leggendo il menù mi faceva gola ogni pietanza, sia di pesce che di terra. Non da meno le pizze. Io e la mia amica, però, abbiamo optato per cenare a base di pesce, assaggiando un antipasto delicato e fresco, per poi scegliere due primi più strong: un tonnarello cacio e pepe con gamberi cotti e gamberi rossi crudi e un riso acquerello, bisque di gamberi rossi ai frutti di mare sgusciati: tutto davvero buono!... Ci tornerò sicuramente presto, mooolto presto...

19/05/2025: Non tornavo da tanti anni e la nuova gestione mi ha entusiasmato. Bellissima location con vista e parcheggio. Menu variegato con pesce carne e pizze. Ottima la qualità e tutti gentilissimi. Ritornero sicuramente

15/06/2025: Wonderfully good pizza, even the edge is worth eating. Delicate dough, digestible with a unique flavor. As far as I'm concerned, the best pizza in Valdelsa, after having tasted so many I stopped here.....and I won't change it. Highly recommended

20/06/2025: Consigliato da amici, da parecchio tempo volevo provare questa pizzeria. Il posto è semplice, ma carino, anche se purtroppo in questo periodo è penalizzato dai lavori stradali della tramvia. Il personale è gentile e veloce. Le pizze sono superlative, sicuramente tra le migliori di Firenze. Abbiamo preso tre pizze gourmet, tutte buonissime. Impasto leggero, spessore della base e del cornicione giusto, cottura ottima e condimenti di primissima qualità, con profumi buonissimi. Ritorneremo di sicuro.

16/06/2025: Esperienza non molto positiva a Don Fefè di San Donato a Firenze. Il 4 giugno ho organizzato la cena di classe di mio figlio. Eravamo 52 e ci hanno fatto giro pizza + acqua e 1 bibita a 25€ a persona, indistintamente fra adulti e ragazzi/bambini. La pizza non era male. Abbiamo avuto da discutere soprattutto con una cameriera con le meches bionde, perchè alcuni bambini bevevano solo acqua e noi abbiamo chiesto di portare a noi genitori la bibita che non hanno preso i ragazzi e convertirla in birra o spritz. In 2 siamo riusciti ad ottenere questa cosa, il terzo no, perchè secondo loro il numero delle bibite prese dai ragazzi non giustificava una birra in più... 25€×52 e anche se fosse stato non vi ci rientrava di portarci una birra in più? In media non è arrivata una pizza a testa, perchè alcuni erano soddisfatti con 2/3 pezzi di pizza.. e non ci rientrava una birra in più? Esperienza da non rifare! Alla cassa ci avevano detto che non c'erano problemi, ma la cameriera evidentemente aveva più potere e alla fine non siamo venuti via contenti.

18/06/2025: I went to dinner here about a month ago on a weekday with my children and grandchildren and I have to say we had a great time. The ordering system is very functional, the staff is friendly, the food is excellent: we tried the pizza, the carbonara, the fried chicken breast with side dishes, the mixed vegetables (the latter is really a beautiful dish to look at, I ate the pizza but next time I will definitely order those vegetables). When we went, there was no crowding and we were comfortably seated at the table chatting pleasantly. I imagine that on weekends it is quite crowded, but it is not fair to take it out on the staff who are very friendly and competent but who have to deal with the large influx of customers that is always present in this shopping center and with customers who are sometimes arrogant and rude.

17/06/2025: My family and I were verbally assaulted by two employees. My 60 year old father was called “idiot” just because his piece of pizza fell on the floor. This behavior is unspeakable especially since many people present left shocked by what happened. If I were in the owner’s shoes I would seriously take action against these individuals. We have never been treated so badly. We will take legal action against these people.

05/06/2025: Terrible experience. I was about to pay and the guy takes the card out of my hands, starts memorizing the numbers, and then takes out his phone to take a picture. I manage to get it out of his hands, but I still had to block it to avoid it.

25/05/2025: Very accommodating for large groups! We were a group of 11 & they sat us with no problems. The drinks are solid & the food is good & it’s located in a lively square.

25/05/2025: New owners since ca 2 years. Not like the old Cabiria. No house wine, the cheapest wine was a red that cost 30€ We wanted to sit outside, but the rain was so violent that we had to move inside. The stench from, I guess the sewage system, was horrid. But at the end of the day, the staff was very nice and the food was great, a bit on the exspensive side.

22/02/2025: It was a good place to take a break. The price is a tourist price P.S Be sure to bring a good spoon on the 2nd floor. Ramen soup getto at the accommodation

15/02/2025: Eravamo in 8. Ci siamo fermati per un caffè. Chiedo un espresso e pago. I miei amici stranieri prendono un cappuccino: 3 euro. Mi viene detto che ce lo portano al tavolo e così mi accomodano. Invece me lo porta uno del gruppo. In un bicchiere di carta. Io vado a chiedere se posso avere una tazzina di ceramica. Quello che dice di essere il proprietario mi chiede perché. Io gli rispondo che mi aspettavo il caffè in una tazzina di ceramica come in ogni bar normale in Italia e che il caffè nel bicchiere di carta mi fa schifo. Lui comincia ad agitarsi e a dire che se voglio posso anche andarmene. Io raggiungo i miei amici al tavolo e dopo pochi secondi questo viene al gtavolo, mi punta il dito contro e a voce molto alta voce mi dice: tu a me non dici che il mio caffè fa schifo, se vuoi lo butti, e mi si avvicina minaccioso. Io gli rispondo che non può permettersi di aggredirmi e lui comincia a dire cose senza senso riguardo le telecamere del locale, finché un poliziotto in borghese interviene e gli dice che non può aggredire un cliente e lo allontana dal tavolo. Il caffè ovviamente sapeva di carta.

04/06/2025: The gelato is good, but the service is terrible. I never leave bad reviews, but this time I have to. The people who work there are rude and they don't let you sit in their tables if you bought the gelato at the stand. They have a little sign that says the gelato is only to go, so we asked the guy if we could buy a drink and stay and he said yes. But when we had our gelatos (paid for) and went inside to sit, the servers inside said we couldn't sit with our "to go" gelatos, that if we wanted to sit they had a different way to serve the gelatos in glass cups. We told them that the other guy said we could have a drink and they very rudely said "no, that's not how it works." I was very polite (I hate complaining at restaurants and things), but they were very rude. Not even a "sorry".

03/06/2025: Embarrassing - Bar that obviously shamelessly exploits its strategic position, 4€ for a small ice cream cup I can even tolerate, but the fact that they reminded us verbally of the absolute ban on sitting and leaning on the tables outside as written on a sheet in English (because evidently we are not in Italy) and the "they tell me that for the cream you have to add 1€" was truly disheartening. Avoid absolutely.

08/06/2025: Menù modesto. Alcuni piatti veramente di qualità modesta. Prezzi veramente esosi. Erano diversi anni che non cenavo qui, ma vista la pessima esperienza non ritornerò più.

11/05/2025: I have to re-evaluate this restaurant which 4 years ago I would have even given 5 stars to me today it seemed like a big brothel a real and big disappointment!!! Waited more than half an hour to sit at the table with even a small number... menu really 3 things in cross fixed menu with real restaurant prices but in reality in people's homes with all due respect you eat better! Pasta with meat sauce €15 it looked like an espresso dish of meat sauce, it tasted of little and was very raw! Grill also failed that internally raw chicken leg, dry pork slices, only 1 sausage was saved 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 It must be said that the only good thing was the dessert on that one, hats off! We will definitely never return today and it was a big disappointment!

13/04/2025: Lo mejor que puedo escribir es frecuentar un lugar diferente. Antipático y grosero con nosotros y las 2 mesas adyacentes a nosotros. Un lugar en cada calle que le da la bienvenida y este ciertamente no es uno de ellos.

30/03/2025: Ottima scelta per un brunch in centro a Firenze. Il personale è gentilissimo, prodotti di qualità sia per il dolce che per il salato. Là cameriera Miriam molto cordiale e simpatica. Lo consiglio!!
