02/06/2025: For several years now, whenever I am in the area, I have been happy to stop and eat at Colonnine. Both the first courses, the meat or the pizza are fantastic. I love eating outside under the portico, but the internal rooms are also special. Fantastic staff who always know how to suggest the right wine. More than fair prices, fantastic service.

16/04/2025: Here you can find typical Tuscan specialties such as sbriciolona, ​​pennette al Chianti, stewed wild boar... A stone's throw from Santa Croce is the typical tourist restaurant with a small space on the street and a large, spacious interior. However, some details regarding the food are not convincing. As an appetizer I took the sbriciolona with cherry tomatoes... The sbriciolona, ​​it was pointed out to me by the person originally from Florence who was with me, that in reality it is finocchiona (the same but much thinner). For the second course I chose an entrecote with green pepper, a good part of which was almost inedible as it was all nerves. I forgot the house wine... sold as Chianti it tasted, in my opinion, rather watered down.

27/08/2025: The worst cannoli, and for €6. Little ricotta, tons of sugar, and unnecessarily strange flavors. Very much aimed at tourists who don't have the opportunity to experience the authentic flavor of this unique miracle of Italian confectionery.

24/08/2025: Worst ice cream experience we made in Florence. Firstly my kids got ripped off with overpriced ice cream (3 for 22,50€) and secondly after I stepped in and started discussing/negotiating the staff turned very unfriendly and referred to price tags which were not visible. In the end the quality of the ice cream was also bad, maximum average. Never again! Avoid this place!

09/07/2025: Apperol in a plastic glass! For the first time I meet such horror.

29/06/2025: The coffee was over priced at €3. Plus 10% to have the view. The waitress was aggressive and dismissive, as if she didn’t want anyone here. The terrace was practically empty so it’s not like a ‘busy work day’ was stressing her out.

24/07/2025: We booked a daily package for two Family Homes to use during the week. They were kind and helpful. I'd like to thank Giulia, the sales manager, Elisa, another sales representative, and Chiara from Bodytec for welcoming us and making this possible. I recommend everyone to sign up for any type of membership at this facility.

23/07/2025: Bad experience, unfriendly staff, the facility needs updating, the changing rooms are old and poorly maintained. It's not suitable for slightly older kids (13/14 years old) because they can't do anything, neither the inflatables nor diving. At 7 pm they closed the slide, and at one point they confined us to a really small space for a water aerobics class. There's room for everything, of course, but considering how much we paid for an afternoon, it's not worth it! You pay extra for the changing rooms, the showers, and soon even the air you breathe!

26/08/2025: A complete tourist trap, the prices on the large menu at the entrance are inaccurate; it was completely overpriced. Anyone who eats here definitely won't do it again.

25/08/2025: Our food wasn't great, but Pino is an exceptional server. We couldn't have received more warm hospitality than by Pino. We will return again.

29/08/2025: Do NOT buy gelato here! By far the worst gelato that i've tried during a week in Italy, total lack of flavour, fullness and also a bit icy. Misleading pricesetting as some already pointed out in previous reviews. A medium coppa supposed to be 3,5 euro will be charged as 6 euro. Threw away two coppas with a sad excuse for gelato for 12 euro.

09/09/2025: This place isn't welcoming, even to Italians—their own compatriots. Another lady and I stood in line just to buy a bottle of water, but we waited over five minutes. Meanwhile, the waiters walked back and forth, not even looking at us, as if two customers who just wanted water and not dessert didn't exist. That lady's expression was truly embarrassed, because she had tried several times to get the staff's attention, but no one paid attention to her.

25/08/2025: The food leaves a lot to be desired, but the service is terrible. Rude people.

18/08/2025: There's a restroom for customers. However, if you're just buying drinks, you're not allowed to sit at the tables outside. The shopkeeper wasn't exactly polite either.

27/08/2025: Dry bread with few toppings, tuna, and 3 tomato slices for €9.50 The waitresses are very rude and unaccommodating. I had to bring drinks with my sandwiches to sit on the terrace. I kindly asked the waitress for a drink to go, but she simply ignored my request because the drink was (in her opinion) for consumption on the terrace! I don't recommend going there; there are several similar restaurants 50 meters away (much better known and certainly better in terms of service and taste).

23/08/2025: We went and bought a can of Coke and another of Fanta. When I opened it, the whole can started to come out. They told us "get out!" and that "we don't know how to open a can of Coke." They were rude and unpleasant, all in Italian (they thought we didn't speak Italian). We told the lady that instead of getting angry with us, she should take more care when carrying the cans. So, if you want to be treated badly and lose €4 per can, I recommend it.

22/07/2025: No Nein No…Don’t make the mistake we did! The food is way low quality, the staff is more interested in their phones than you, and the cooks are probably from Iowa and not Italy. 76 Euro dinner that I wouldn’t pay $26 for in the States.

16/08/2025: AVOID AT ANY COST. And here's why: We went into this coffee shop by mistake cuz I thought it was a different bar I saved previously with a 4,5+ rating...- but the one we wanted to go to was a few buildings further away. We realized our mistake after we paid the bill and after our food arrived. First off all: the owners/staff is kind and speaks English. At no point we had the feeling they're rude whatsoever. The products/drinks here are way OVERPRICED. For example Coca Cola for 4,50€ (the highest we've ever encountered in Italy. And we thought 4€ in Positano is a lot...), Canolli small for 3,50€, big one for 7(!!!)€. That's insane. Total ripoff. Payed 3,50€for small cappuccino and 6,50€ for Caprese bread. Ofc they sold us the more expensive 5€ cappuccino as my partner forgot to mention the size... The waffle we've had was first super hard and burned (!). We complained and got a new waffle- which wasn't burned but still kinda hard and OVERLOADED with Nutella, so it was too sweet too. But I also gotta admit that the staff exchanged it with no charge and they were insightful. To the staff in case you read this: STOP SELLING OVERPRICED FOOD, improve your quality and write prices on your products too!!

10/08/2025: Not recommended! Poor service, dishonest, and violent. There's a price posted, but when you go to pay, they charge you more—in other words, they intentionally rob you. When you tell them the posted price is different, they mistreat you. (Plus, the ice cream is horrible, and so is the place.)

04/06/2025: Deze man geeft altijd aan dat zijn keuken gesloten is. Vervolgens komt hij met 4 kleine puntjes koude en harde pizza aan en laat hij je €48,- afrekenen voor proscecco(!!) van €7,- per fles. Daarbij waren de toiletten ingekleurd met poep van andere klanten. Een echte oplichter. Kies voor een italiaan als u wat wilt drinken rondom de duomo.

04/06/2025: Si bien la vista del Duomo desde este lugar es innegablemente impresionante, nuestra experiencia aquí fue extremadamente decepcionante y se sintió como una estafa completa. Durante nuestras vacaciones, disfrutamos de muchas terrazas alrededor del Duomo, a menudo con buen vino a precios justos. Sin embargo, este lugar en particular, que parece bastante barato y sencillo, nos sorprendió con una factura escandalosamente alta, a pesar de que pedimos la botella de vino más barata del menú. Para empeorar las cosas, el baño estaba en un estado terrible: sucio, sin papel higiénico, y claramente no estaba en mantenimiento. El personal era antipático y desdeñoso, lo que se suma a la impresión negativa general. Esta fue con mucho la peor relación calidad-precio que experimentamos en la zona. Aconsejamos encarecidamente a los demás que eviten este lugar, no importa cuán buena pueda parecer la vista. Hay lugares mucho mejores (y más limpios) con un servicio más honesto a la vuelta de la esquina.

15/12/2024: El trabajador deshonesto del sur de Asia que viene aquí en Italia para ganar dinero rápido. Compré 2 helados, el precio de la etiqueta es 3. 5 euros pero me cobran 14 euros, la mejor parte se da 50 euros y me devuelven 30 euros. Estafar a un hombre del sur de Asia sólo puede hacer un poco de dinero por deshonra, pero nada más. Sólo piensa que un patético tipo sin educación vino aquí en Florencia que engaña dinero de turistas en lugar de su propio país, realmente vergonzoso. KNN
