18/08/2025: The restaurant is strategically located, close to the highway and easily accessible from many destinations. The pizza, quite thin and large, is very tasty and generously topped. Absolutely excellent value. I strongly advise against the appetizers, which are completely overpriced. Despite the high-quality ingredients, the portions are small.

10/10/2025: Cavour is a lifesaver! Our hotel’s up the hill (a beautiful property called Podere Benintendi) but Cavour was able to deliver! 30/11/2025: We ate pizza there four times in one week. That pretty much says it all. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff, excellent pizzas at a very fair price. The house white wine, "frizzante," is highly recommended. We'll definitely be back!

30/11/2025: The pizza and coccoli were good, thin-crust pizza and generous coccoli. The place was a bit too small, and you can't wait inside because it gets crowded. The staff was helpful but a bit rushed. We waited 45 minutes for two pizzas and a portion of coccoli... which isn't fun in the cold!

13/11/2025: Modern place, good pizza with a choice of toppings, staff a bit lost. They offer me a piece of cecina while I wait for my pizza, and then I find it on my bill. I ask for a half liter of water and they tell me they have one-liter bottles and smaller half-liter ones, the capacity of which is unknown. They bring me the small bottle, and it's the classic 0.5-liter. Confused.

03/11/2025: ABSURD experience!! We've been to this place many times but never had we found it like this Sunday evening. We arrived at 8:30 pm, sat down and started looking at the menu to order. Being customers, we immediately realized what was going on. These SMART ONES invented the COMICS menu, that is, they changed (reduced) the classic menu and made a new one for the annual fair held in Lucca (35 minutes away).!!!!! But the best part is that they were SMART enough to increase some prices and even changed some prices and corrected them with white-out directly on the already refilled menu!!! It may be true but as I told the (kind) waitress, take a picture of me because you won't see me again any time soon. If the tactic was to increase the price to catch passers-by for 3 days I think it worked, but for the locals, as you would say on your billboards (YOU HAVE CAATED OUT OF THE VASE)

27/11/2025: We were visiting Matera in Nov. 2025 and found this place on Google. One dish in particular caught our eye - A giant ball of burrata cheese with cherry tomatoes, olive oil an arugala all housed in a pizza dough bowl. It was probably the best "appetizer" we've ever had, although it is like a meal unto itself. The service staff were friendly and the rest of the food was quite good. We went twice to have the burrata again and to try the pizza which was really good. Definitely recommend!

07/10/2025: Santo Stefano's historic bakery. The pizza, schiacciata, and savory dishes are delicious. But the best here is the legendary ricotta and chocolate cake. It also features a soft ricotta and sour cherry crumble, varying in texture and shape, delicious and delicious.
