27/08/2024: What a discovery this place was, I have been frequenting this area for years and I had never been to Lake Chiusi. Not only is it pleasant to eat on the lake but the cuisine based on lake fish is exquisite. I recommend the pici with perch sauce and the skewers of eel and perch. Delicious desserts with Catalan cream revisited with liquorice.

24/08/2024: Siamo andati a visitare il lago molto bello e immerso nella natura Ci siamo fermati a pranzo Abbiamo scelto antipasto di salumi di Cinta molto buono e i salami Top Pesce di lago il piatto è chiamato BRUSTICO ed è cotto a fiamma viva , abbrustolito bene bene usando le canne che costeggiano il lago , quindi un sapore particolare e molto buono , condito poi con olio limone e aceto … CONSIGLIATO Come contorno zucchine ripiene molto buone anche loro Il cameriere una persona davvero disponibile e pronta a soddisfare le richieste dei clienti Il locale molto molto carino e pulito

05/08/2024: Excellent food, even if the quantities are rather small, but really good quality. The big flaw is the biblical times and it was Monday, I can't imagine Saturday and Sunday! Among other things, at the time of booking they recommended arriving on time to free the tables in time and then it took 45 minutes, after ordering, to have the dishes at the table!!!!! It's really a shame for these long times for the kitchen and the waiters, because the food is of high quality.

28/08/2024: I can’t remember the last time I was sad that a meal had finished, the food was that good! The restaurant has a wonderful setting covered in vintage tourism posters from all over the world, and as you walk down the stairs you walk past the open kitchen where you can see the chefs at work. The atmosphere is calm and even with a full restaurant it wasn’t loud. The service was impeccable, with the waiting staff on hand to help with menu recommendations and the appropriate wine to complement your dish choices. We went for three pasta dishes, the spinach gnocchi with sage and butter, the cannelloni ‘buca lapi’, and the fettuccine with veal ragu. They were all spectacular with the veal fettuccine the stand out dish for me. The menu offers a variety of Tuscan and Florentine dishes so what ever you choose you’re in for a great experience! Highly recommend!

22/08/2024: Siamo stati con tutta la famiglia a cena in questo ristorante suggeritoci dalla guida. E non potevamo trovare di meglio! I Primi sono ottimi, ma la carne davvero eccezionale. Unica pecca poca scelta per gli antipasti. Anche se quei pochi disponibili sono di buona qualità. Ci hanno suggerito un ottimo vino, servizio perfetto e cameriere gentile e simpatico! Ci tornerò sicuramente!

20/08/2024: For a takeaway sandwich, this works great! You compose your sandwich yourself (bread, cold meats, cheese, sauce and vegetables). A bit like the subway except that here you can taste what you put in your sandwich before! I put 4 because I find the price a little high for a sandwich (12€), as good as it is. Especially since looking on Google, we realize that it was around €6-8 not so long ago…

15/08/2024: genuinely the best sandwich in the world. The service was great we got to taste our meat options. The staff were all great specifically the older gentleman who helped find us seating. Get the porchetta.

28/08/2024: Had their margarita pizza . Shrimp pasta , Tuscany burger and black truffle ravioli every thing was excellent but the burger and ravioli out of this world

22/08/2024: premise: the food was really good, fairly well-prepared dishes. After all, the same cannot be said; terrible service (one waitress in particular served us) with "get out of the way" and annoyed expressions. Furthermore, I have noticed a tendency to satisfy the regular customer, while the casual customer is left to their own devices. Low price.

20/08/2024: Tornato in questo locale, oggi come turista, devo dire che è cambiato nell'arredo ma la sostanza culinaria è rimasta come anni addietro !!! Tavoli dove puoi scambiare quattro chiacchere con gli altri commensali, servizio abbastanza veloce visto la mole di lavoro e come al solito vasta scelta delle pietanze. Abbiamo voluto assaggiare la" Padellata Deserto" composta da cozze, gamberoni, seppioline e pane abbrustolito, frittura mista anelli di calamari e gamberi e per finire sorbetto al limone seguito da caffè e limoncello, il tutto annaffiato da un buon vino bianco fresco. Che dire per concludere ?? Conto nella normalità, visto i prezzi che girano !!! Ci sono tornato e ci ritornerò appena possibile, Mirko ha lasciato degli eredi all'altezza del passato !!!

19/08/2024: Ordered the vegetarian pizza without aubergines, but they inserted them anyway saying they were courgettes! The tomato puree is rather acidic

15/08/2024: I had a delightful experience at Osteria i Macelli. I spent a couple of hours relaxing and indulging in their half kg of beef steak with potatoes. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with a flavour that was simply outstanding. The potatoes complemented the steak beautifully, making for a satisfying and hearty meal. The cosy atmosphere and friendly staff added to the experience, making it a memorable evening. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality dining experience!

15/08/2024: Coincidentally, while on holiday in a small town in Garfagnana I discovered this location. With an anonymous exterior but an interior with character where the kindness and skill of the waiters accompany tasty and well-prepared dishes. Good service and quality raw materials. Highly recommended.

24/08/2024: We had dinner there just one evening with two families, I would say that we were all happy as everything was very good! The staff were also attentive and friendly. Obviously we highly recommend everyone to go there 👍

16/08/2024: The location is nice but it has the hotel rooms right on the restaurant and you see (very well) the lack of privacy of the people. The dishes, refined but with very little character, often with sloppy flavors. Attentive service. Price/quality not recommendable.

16/07/2024: The best way to spend an evening. I had the pleasure of having dinner with friends in this delightful restaurant, attracted by the truly interesting menu. It was a journey through taste, skillfully guided by the excellent service and peppered with surprises dedicated to the pleasures of the palate. A new way to enjoy fish, excellent quality of the raw material. Highly recommended!

05/08/2024: Lunch on a very hot summer Sunday. A nice motorbike ride and lunch at Sottobosco to find some refreshment. Mission accomplished. With great satisfaction. Il Sottobosco never betrays expectations. Pleasant location, ennobled by the presence of numerous parked motorbikes: always a nice sight. Then the novelty (for us) of the menu to be split. Excellent idea, which we immediately took advantage of. Great menu of the undergrowth, which would be impossible for us humans to manage, in fair portions to reach the end, even if full. All very well. Appetizers and first courses in particular, but the rest was no joke either. Pleasant and lively service, with care in the description of the dishes, which is not common in trattorias in our area. Well done! Fair expense. On Sundays, booking is a very smart precaution. Then they are fast and they find a "hole"... but better not to take risks.
