15/09/2025: I had dinner with my family for my birthday. It was the best seafood restaurant in the center of Florence. A relaxing and unique atmosphere with exceptional dishes, each one better than the last. If you're in Florence, you definitely have to stop by. I'll definitely be back.

17/07/2025: Excellent spot. The menu is changing all the time according to seasonal ingredients . The chef is very accommodating with certain dietary restrictions . Interesting wine selection .

27/09/2025: Unfortunately, you can't give it less than one star, otherwise it would have that rating. There's dirt and dust everywhere. Even my shoes were sticking to the floor. Not to mention the broken and dusty air conditioners. The service is truly awful and disorganized, as we had also ordered a second course, and after waiting over an hour, they forgot to bring it. So we left, paying only for what we had consumed. The bathrooms are a complete disgrace, as is the rest of the place. At the end, the owner said goodbye to me. Are you kidding? The first and last time, never again, never in a place like that. The food also left much to be desired, both in flavor and quantity. The mushroom rice had no flavor at all, and the tortelli were all sticky. What I make at home is much better.

26/07/2025: Carlo and his wife (the chef), two wonderful people, shared some anecdotes about Avenza with us. The food, typical local dishes, was superb. We highly recommend this experience.

14/03/2025: Situato all'interno delle mura di questo carinissimo borgo, era un negozio di alumentari gestito dal signor Giovannino, è stato trasformato (con successo, direi) in un locale che offre uno splendido e azzeccato spaccato della cucina locale. Noi eravamo già stati un paio di anni prima e, visto il bel ricordo, abbiam voluto tornare : ne siamo stati appagati ! L' assortimento di salumi e formaggi di ottima qualità, 🧀🍖 i pici e la ribollita pure, 🍝 la fiorentina (l' abbiamo chiesta "contenuta" per non scoppiare, vista la generosità delle porzioni precedenti) molto tenera 🥩 e gustosa, anche se l' avremmo preferita più al sangue (a dire il vero i titolari si erano offerti di ritirarla e sostituirla ma lo avremmo considerato uno spreco). Il vino, della casa, ottimo ; il servizio, di questi veraci tifosi della Viola, molto caloroso e sumpatico. A noi piace così

08/11/2025: We went for lunch on Saturday. We had an appetizer and a delicious—help me say delicious—T-bone steak. The price was fair for what we ate. The waiter was friendly and the atmosphere was traditional. Recommended if you're in Florence.

18/11/2025: The kindness of the waitress who served us deserves praise, but not only for the pizza and the interior space. I was hit from behind with the kitchen door at least three or four times, which isn't ideal while eating.

31/10/2025: Yesterday I was having dinner there with friends and had an embarrassing experience, to say the least. On a normal evening, during dessert I took a bite and found a piece of glass in my mouth (they tried to justify it by saying it was plastic, but to me and my fellow diners it looked like glass, but in any case the fact remains), to which they tried to justify themselves by saying these things happen, nothing more. Faced with my shock, they didn't even offer to buy me dinner (the bare minimum on such an occasion), but instead said the price of dessert had been deducted (an insufficient gesture, especially after a few poorly formulated excuses), which was also unbelievable, given that my fellow diners and I actually paid more than others at our table who had left early and paid first. Dismayed and disappointed.

23/08/2025: Hotel La Villa is a family-run establishment, simple yet welcoming. The food is homely, and the staff is friendly and informal. They were very kind to my father-in-law, maintaining/modifying a reservation based on his health. Thank you so much :-)

03/11/2025: My girlfriend and I stopped for lunch during Lucca Comics and Games. The service was quick and friendly, and the portions were generous! The One Piece theme for the convention was also great.

02/11/2025: They saved my evening. I was wandering around Lucca looking for a bar to charge my phone so I could drive back to Bologna. A very kind waitress quickly realized I had a problem and kindly welcomed me and solved it. I checked several businesses along the main streets, and no one else did the same. The restaurant and bar offered quick and attentive service. During the Lucca Comics event, everything was One Piece-themed, and the alternative music selection was perfect for my personal tastes. Thank you so much for everything.

12/10/2025: We were lucky enough to meet Yuri who served us on our first night and he turned a challenging day into a fantastic evening with his hospitality and good humour.

05/10/2025: We had a great time eating great pizza and drinking limoncello spritz (recommended by Sarah). We highly recommend going to this place if you are in Florence. Sarah, who served us was sweet, entertaining and it was a pleasure meeting her. We wish her good luck in her future with her Political Science degree. ♥️

15/07/2025: Excellent pizza, very well topped, both gluten-free and gluten-free. Excellent attention to intolerances. Fast and courteous service. The outdoor seating area is a great idea for the summer months; it's simple and well-maintained. P.S.: It's wonderful to see such a young and knowledgeable staff. If you really have to find a flaw, there are few lactose-free dessert options.
