19/06/2025: We celebrated our wedding at the Tenuta La Borriana at the end of July... wonderful place... from the ceremony celebrated in the olive grove, to the dinner on the central terrace... everything was perfect. We were looked after by Chiara and Caterina in everything. Their kindness, professionalism, and so much patience, seasoned with excellent food made the evening wonderful. 28/06/2025: We've stayed at Villa Borgo San Pietro several times, and every time it's simply beautiful. Upon arrival, you're greeted very warmly by the gentleman at reception, who immediately makes you feel welcome. Even when you leave, you can tell that the warmth here comes from the heart. The rooms are very clean and lovingly furnished. We'd especially like to highlight the service staff – whether the ladies who clean the rooms or the team serving breakfast: everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. You never feel like anything is too much for them. This pleasant, unobtrusive friendliness contributes greatly to the feeling of well-being. The large pool is another highlight. It's not only beautifully landscaped, but also really big enough for a proper swim. Great attention is paid to cleanliness here, too, which we're always impressed with. All in all, Villa Borgo San Pietro is a place for us to relax and enjoy ourselves. We've already booked again 😀!

26/05/2025: A beautiful, dreamy place. An old olive farm converted into a hotel, it retains its original grandeur. The warmth of its people, combined with the tranquility of its gardens, make this a place you'll want to return to.

21/06/2025: Hello dear readers, We (5 adults and 5 children) ate at La Ventola twice. Atmosphere: The tables are located under a veranda and therefore mostly in the shade. The outdoor area, the restaurant, and the restrooms were well-maintained and clean. There's a small "playground" for the children, making the wait for their food easier. Food: The selection wasn't huge, but absolutely sufficient. The value for money was great, and all the dishes were delicious. Service: The service staff was attentive and very friendly. Communication was excellent using a mix of Italian, German, and English. Note: Unfortunately, we only ate twice, as the restaurant was subsequently closed by the Italian authorities...

04/06/2025: We went back this weekend, we remembered the good food and the friendliness of the owners, the place is very nice....the only flaw is to go there not too late because the food runs out quickly and they don't have much staff.....but the service was fast.

31/05/2025: Dinner organized for a retirement celebration, so a large table. Next to it another table for the same reason. Very popular restaurant, excellent food and impeccable service despite the packed house that evening. Highly recommended!!

28/06/2025: We came across this restaurant for a fish-based dinner. Even though it was late, we managed to find a free table. The place was not very crowded and very intimate, one floor below the pavement level (watch your head if you are too tall). The service was quick and the quality of the fish was excellent, even if the plating was not very aesthetic. Three stars for the food because they could have used a little more fish as a condiment for the spaghetti.

02/06/2025: We came across this tavern by chance in the direction of Lucca, seeing from Florence due to an accident on the highway. WONDERFUL place with covered parking with a pergola. The atmosphere inside takes you back to times when happy hours were spent at the tavern. We ate the local specialties served with courtesy and kindness. Garfagnina soup, tortelli with ragù, goose liver with leek sauce and roast potatoes. Rating: 10 I recommend it to everyone.

24/05/2025: The name of the tavern, seen along the road, pushed us to stop and go in; pleasant surprise both for the menu and for the environment. Portions rather generous and of excellent quality. Price more than fair.

16/04/2025: If you want a good pizza, spend little and do it quickly, this is the right place. The pizza is very good, well leavened, well garnished and does not remain indigestible. There is no table service but the owners are very kind, helpful and friendly. Simple but very well kept environment. I often go there to get takeaway too.

11/07/2025: Alas, disappointment. A very nice place, outdoor terrace, excellent platter. I chose the Neapolitan pizza, good dough, perfectly cooked, ...but...anchovies NOT AVAILABLE. The main ingredient in Neapolitan pizza, along with capers, was present in traces, like a mush. In fact, I even suspected it was anchovy paste because there were absolutely no anchovy pieces. So much so, I complained to the staff on principle. You want to offer a certain product, you have a nice, well-kept place, but don't lose yourself by making a poor impression on these things. They skimped on the product, and the pizza on the menu wasn't exactly a bargain compared to the average, in fact it was actually quite expensive... The pizza was very small... paradoxical, I'd say. To make matters worse, the pizza chef, a young woman, came along and said there were TWO anchovies, as if I'd been mistaken (and I was already annoyed at demonstrating, criticizing). In the meantime, I had stopped waiting for the waiter to report the problem, and the pizza was now perfectly cold! I'll bring you two anchovies... which never arrived.
