17/09/2025: On the way to Tuscany, we stopped almost by chance at Trattoria La Fornace in Massa, and I must say it turned out to be an interesting discovery, especially for those traveling and needing a hassle-free stop. The restaurant is simple, with the option of dining outside thanks to a practical and quiet terrace. The staff was friendly and helpful, creating a familiar and relaxed atmosphere. The menu offers traditional Tuscan dishes and home cooking, without excess or refinement, but with an overall convincing quality. Among the dishes we tried, the tagliata was truly excellent: tender and well-cooked meat, served with attention. The vegetables, on the other hand, were less memorable, but still passable. What's striking is the quality-price ratio: for a modest outlay, you can eat well, simply, and without surprises. It's a simple trattoria, ideal for those looking for a quick and substantial meal while traveling, without the effort or expense of a more elaborate restaurant. Ultimately, La Fornace isn't a memorable place for its atmosphere or originality, but it's a worthwhile and convenient stop. It's one of those trattorias that never disappoints, thanks to the friendly service and some well-executed dishes.

The cuisine has no need for special effects: it is authentic, good, and sincere, typical of the mountains, designed to nourish the body and reconcile the spirit. Each dish has the flavor of authenticity, and the atmosphere invites you to slow down, reflect, and rediscover an intimate dialogue with nature and with yourself. A place that stays in your heart.

30/07/2025: Questo posto è perfetto per una fuga rilassante dalla città. E' immerso in un incantevole silenzio in simbiosi con la natura che lo circonda. Camera semplice e comoda, massima pulizia, cibo ottimo e abbondante sia a colazione che a cena. Personale accogliente, familiare, massima cortesia. Prezzi modici. Posso con certezza affermare che l'unica stella che hanno è assolutamente splendente!!

21/08/2025: A welcoming and relaxing location, ideal for a lovely evening with your partner or friends, dining with a sea view. The place isn't very large, which ensures a quiet dinner. The friendly owners are able to recommend the daily specials. They truly satisfied our culinary desires. We'll definitely be back for dinner here, as it's one of our favorites.

21/10/2025: The best introduction to the beautiful town of San Quirico. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch, an aperitif, or a literary snack with excellent niche wines. Recommended.

12/10/2025: Today we were guests of this magical place. As soon as you enter, you feel at home, with the scents of earth and wine, the warmth of culture, and the power of kindness. An elegant wine, excellent products, and you leave with a book under your arm and the conviction of having discovered a corner where you can escape.

27/10/2025: The food is good, but a second course is too small, a quarter of wine, water, side dish, and coffee cost 30 euros. They won't let me go anymore.

11/10/2025: I randomly stopped in for a quick bite and saw a sign outside the restaurant saying the €15 fixed menu. I went in, sat down, and the waitress told me the €15 menu didn't include drinks—oh, you know, the usual red herring. It should also be posted outside the restaurant that drinks aren't included. Anyway, okay, I ordered a first course, spaghetti with Tuscan ragù, a small portion with completely tasteless ragù. The second course arrived, chicken breast with potatoes. The chicken breast was rock-hard, inedible, truly disgusting, but the potatoes were average. I went to pay, and of course it wasn't €15 anymore, but €18.30, as I had ordered water and coffee. For a place like this, and for the quality offered, that's way too much. I paid without any argument, but if I passed by again, I definitely wouldn't stop to eat if they operate like this.

22/10/2025: …on the occasion of my trip to Tuscany!!…with a group of people!!…from an agency in my city!!…I stopped for lunch here!!…at the “Il Portico” farmhouse!!…so I am in Capalbio!!…and I am precisely three kilometers away!!…and this structure is located!!…in a quiet location!!…immersed in the wonderful nature of the Tuscan Maremma!!…I was served a good appetizer!!…a good first course!!…followed by the second course and then a fantastic tiramisu!!…all typical products!!…with the true flavor of Tuscany!!…dishes brought to the table by the owner!!…he did everything!!…zero waiting time!!…what can I say!!…I ate really well!!…here at the “Il Portico” farmhouse!!…the authentic dishes of Tuscan cuisine!!…yes!!!…I would gladly go back again!!…🍽️🎉👌💯🔝⬆️‼️
