In a charming little room, a little removed from the hustle and bustle, the cuisine delighted us: inventive, personal, and executed with great care, presented with wit and simplicity - just like Chef Gabriele! We fell under its spell!

22/04/2025: This is the 3rd restaurant in Italy, taken from the Michelin guide, without being starred, that we have been to and the first where the waiters are really super friendly! Finally! Because I was starting to wonder if being in this web version of the guide made the restaurants mentioned places full of themselves! So that's not it at iO - Osteria Personale. Smile and good advice for the white wine coming from the seaside between Pisa and Genoa, which went perfectly with what we chose in 4 courses. I would have difficulty repeating everything well, but I will try here. So we first ate an appetizer of pea gelato. Then we had the starter with mushrooms which is a kind of mousse. Then pasta with shrimp, olive oil and garlic. Then a fish, monkfish. Then I let the chef choose the dessert. The atmosphere was good and this charming restaurant with around 24 seats and a very nice bathroom delighted us both. Thanks to the chefs and servers for the evening.

L’atmosfera elegante e accogliente crea il contesto perfetto per un’esperienza gastronomica unica, dove ogni piatto è curato nei minimi dettagli. La signora Camelia, con la sua passione e professionalità, delizia gli ospiti con creazioni culinarie straordinarie. Abbiamo avuto il piacere di assaporare un baccalà mantecato su vellutata di patate, una carbonara Grantosco dal sapore intenso e avvolgente, e una spigola dalla cottura perfetta, morbida e saporita, che ha conquistato il palato di (un Catanese) un amante del pesce come me. Il servizio è impeccabile, la carta dei vini ben selezionata e adatta a ogni portata. E per concludere in bellezza, il dolce Gran Forchetta è stato una vera sorpresa: un’esplosione di sapori che ha reso l’esperienza ancora più memorabile.

29/03/2025: New experience at Chianti Soul Kitchen with the owner Maximilian and the chef Giada. A wonderful ambiente with an excellent service, you feel welcome as a guest and as a friend. We had as a starter (antipasto) the „gamberi rosso crudo“, which an explosion of different tastes and flavors created by Giada. She loves to experiment with combinations of different flavors and that makes this kitchen unique. The duck („petto di anatra“) with potatoes was amazing, perfectly seasoned and pink meat! Wonderful! The wine selection is legendary at Chianti Soul Kitchen. We love to be there!

25/04/2025: Nothing new to say compared to the many glowing reviews about this place. The only advice: don't limit yourself to the sandwich! Come in, sit down and take the cheese and cold cuts board and the crostini board, you won't regret it!

27/04/2025: Sublime! My wife and I couldn't stop ordering. After finishing one schiacciata, we immediately ordered another. Don't miss the schiacciata with porchetta, both with eggplant and with their onion compote. Prices so cheap you won't believe it. Fantastic experience.
