La Vecchia Fontana In Avola

Very kind and helpful chef and owner. We came here thanks to the great reviews and we were not disappointed! They offered us an entrée with mushrooms and ricotta produced by them. Lunch beyond expectations, everything was perfect. Very generous portions and very low prices. Crispy and dry fry, the fresh pasta was fantastic, the mussel soup was very tasty and filling. The accompanying pizza bread was fantastic. Limoncello made with their Avola lemons, delicate and pleasant on the palate. Non-touristy place where you can appreciate true Sicilian cuisine. We will definitely be back!

Very good and what can we say about the friendliness of those who served us at the table and the chef who shared with me his excellent recipe for cooking fennel.

Found it by chance - but then the Trattoria Vecchia Fontana became our regular restaurant - Michele won us over with his warm manner and the excellent food! We mainly chose fish, mussel and squid dishes. We can also recommend pizzas and hamburgers. Clear recommendation for everyone who wants to eat fresh quality food!

If they hadn't told me I wouldn't have gone in. The typical place where you don't expect it. Highly recommended, despite the external appearance it tastes good.

Found by chance. We arrive from Turin and search on Google for a non-touristy place to eat authentic Sicilian cuisine. I had an octopus salad combined with a delicious caponata and excellent fried fish. The chef pampered us with bruschetta with delicious oil! Generous portions and cheap prices! Recommended and we will be back!

Sono stata a cena con la mia famiglia più volte durante il nostro soggiorno in Sicilia. Consiglio vivamente la cucina dello chef, che oltre ad essere una persona squisita e molto disponibile ad accogliere le richieste e le curiosità del cliente, ci ha preparato ogni sera dei piatti deliziosi. Qui si mangia una cucina tipica, saporita ed abbondante. Consiglio vivamente anche la pizza, una delle più buone mai mangiate. Ci siamo sentiti coccolati, l'ambiente è molto spartano ma accogliente, i gestori hanno fatto di tutto per metterci a nostro agio. E' stato come entrare in casa di qualcuno e mangiare i piatti della tradizione di famiglia. Un'esperienza che consiglio.
