19/07/2025: We were at this restaurant yesterday, the second shift, and I don't recommend the fixed fish menu. 1. The appetizer was poor and flavorless. 2. The first courses, mainly the seafood risotto, were watery and in some parts almost tasted plain. 3. The second courses, the fried fish and mussels were good. The calamari with its sauce was COLD and tasteless. I don't know what went on in the kitchen, but I'd heard good things about it. If so, I strongly advise against it.

12/07/2025: U Palangaru, renowned and now famous in Portopalo. One of the busiest restaurants, for sure. The strong points are definitely the atmosphere, which I've always found very relaxing, and the Chef's appetizer: Una Bomba. The only flaw? The overpriced first and second courses. In Portopalo, I still haven't found a restaurant that stands out from the crowd. The usual first courses with cherry tomatoes, pistachios, shrimp, etc. No one ever stands out. I recommend trying something new, the potential is there. The combination menu idea is also nice.

28/07/2025: For those who love seafood, this is a must-see when passing through Avola. The freshest fish and it's right on the beach—what more could you want?

14/07/2025: A delicious restaurant/pizzeria not far from Syracuse, with a large veranda and indoor parking, as well as a garden suitable for receptions. The menu we sampled on the three consecutive evenings we visited included a cone of mixed fried fish, a trio of citrus gratin pasta, almond parfait, pizzolo pasta with eggplant, swordfish caponata, mussels with pepper, and pistachio parfait, along with zibibbo grapes and sorbet.

11/07/2025: A great place with ample parking, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and a beautiful garden overlooking Mount Etna. A large playground for children. We went there twice during our stay – the service was friendly (Angelo was excellent). We enjoyed the meat dishes, as well as the fish and seafood, and the local pizza (the chefs loved them). And finally, the desserts… Everything was delicious. The prices were reasonable for the quality. I definitely recommend it.

20/07/2025: It's our regular stop before heading to the beach: wonderful breaded pastries, the best in the province. The staff is always smiling and cheerful. I recently tried their breakfasts too: they're spectacular.

08/08/2025: Close to the center, very nice place. Parking is available on nearby streets. The entrance is a small courtyard where you can also eat outside. Excellent service: friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable value for money, good pizzas. The only downside is the restrooms: they're next to the pizza chef, and there are steps to access them, making it difficult to access the restroom because it's very narrow. Other than that, I highly recommend this pizzeria.

28/08/2025: We visited Pizzoleria recently and have to say that the food itself was excellent – delicious flavor, and definitely worth trying if you’re a fan of authentic pizza. However, the overall experience was quite difficult. The place was overcrowded and extremely noisy, which made it hard to enjoy the meal. The staff, though clearly working very hard, seemed tired, stressed, and demoralised from being overworked. Service was unfortunately unattentive, with orders arriving late and in our case incorrect. It’s a pity, because the kitchen delivers really good food, but the atmosphere and service made the evening less enjoyable than it could have been. My suggestion: go for takeaway. Get your pizza, head home (or to the beach), and enjoy it in peace

24/08/2025: The Pizzoli are very good (a good 8/10), but the atmosphere is too noisy (unless you get a table upstairs), and you have to hope one of the waitresses notices you because trying to call them is impossible. The wait for food is very long, but when I was there, the place was very busy, so it's understandable, but let's just say they should be organized for an event like this, since it happens often.

05/09/2025: I'll start by saying I ate well. The service wasn't the best. But the best part was the price. I ordered a peppered mussel dish for €8, a mixed fried fish for €15, a kilo of local oysters for €16, gratinated mussels for €5, and then I ordered four red prawns and two scampi given the availability that day. All this for two people. Add a cover charge, water, a Coke, and two glasses of wine. €124 at the till. Unfortunately, I didn't immediately discuss it with the manager, which was my mistake, but since I'm from the "nodde" area, I avoided it. Unfortunately, places like this make the entire population look bad, and I don't think they're all like that. I absolutely advise against going; there are better places with fair prices.

13/08/2025: Magnificent location, impeccable service, excellent prices. I find the quality of the food diminished. I must also reiterate the horrible appearance of the road leading there, full of abandoned garbage.
