03/01/2026: Last night, because I'm writing this at 2:00 AM, I visited this restaurant with my girls. Obviously, I thought for a moment so as not to write a hasty review motivated only by my disappointment. We sat at seat 14 and ordered a few items. The only appetizer, potatoes with cheese and speck, were delivered without the last two ingredients, so they were remedied by bringing back the same dish rearranged with the two missing ingredients. I didn't think it was nice, but in the end, they were potatoes! What justified my review, however, was the plate of gratinated mussels, ordered by my daughter. The dish contained twenty miscounted mussels, one of which emitted a nauseating stench. I don't want to lecture anyone, but if my daughter didn't have that questionable habit of smelling food, maybe I'd be writing this review from the emergency room and not from my room.

28/11/2025: Beautiful setting and super romantic. Food was delicious and staff were lovely. Portions are small so marked down for that in terms of value for money. Marked down on service as was charged an additional €30 for a bottle of wine we did not order. Did not notice until we got back to the hotel as we were in a rush to pay because it started to rain and we were outside! With that being said I would go again, without the kids and make sure I check the bill properly next time! The outdoor terrace is truly stunning.

23/10/2025: This restaurant may as well be one of the best places I’ve ever had dinner. We found it online and decided to check it out spontaneously, and just wow. The garden is beautiful, with several citrus trees. Super romantic atmosphere. All the staff has specific roles, so the sommelier only does take wine orders, the waitresses only bring food and take away empty plates or refill empty glasses and there are separate people for taking food orders or bringing out the bill. Although it might feel a bit slow (reading some of the other comments), there definitely is a system in place that works well. And then the food… eating a variety of vegetarian food has been difficult in Sicily. Not at this restaurant; they have an amazing selection of high quality vegetarian food. Probably the best vegetarian food we’ve ever had. We started with a delicious burrata and tomatoes, then lemon linguini, fried artichoke and shared two desserts. We did not have any wine, just two bottles of water and I was surprised with how low the bill was for the amazing quality of food. Feels like dining in a Michelin setting, but for a super reasonable price. Thank you to the staff for this amazing experience!

21/03/2026: I've traveled miles to come here because the pizza is excellent, and I come whenever I can. This Saturday night, I found it closed even though Gmaps said it was open until 11:00 PM. There was nothing on the front door to explain the unexpected closure.

07/08/2025: After two weeks in Taormina, we discovered this hidden gem on our last day and what a wonderful surprise! The warm, welcoming atmosphere created by the kind family who runs the place made us feel right at home. The food was exactly what we needed: comforting and full of flavor. The vegetable soup was absolutely delicious, the lamb cotoletta was tender and perfectly cooked, and the tagliatelle and swordfish rolls were just fantastic. On top of all that, the prices were the best we found in Taormina — great quality without the tourist mark-up. I only wish we had found this place sooner! Highly recommended.

11/01/2026: I had the opportunity to dine here for New Year's Eve. The scallops were excellent, the rest was pretty average. The service was pleasant, with young (some a little inexperienced) but knowledgeable waiters. The evening was very pleasant, and I'd be interested in returning at a quieter time.

28/09/2025: Enchanting place, wonderful dinner with products of their own production. But above all the owners Cherubina, Giacomo, and their two daughters are exceptional people like few others today, always available and make you feel like real family.

21/09/2025: So many things can be said about agriturismo l'uliveto but for me 'coming home' sums up what staying here feels like. A truly family owned working farm, you can see the owners working hard from before 5 am until 11 at night if not later. The hosts, Giacomo and Cherubina are always at your disposal and if you ever need anything they'll do all they can to accommodate you and make your stay as great as it can be. When we arrived we were instantly swept away by the beauty of the farm, the olive trees, hundreds of years old scattered everywhere are definitely the main features, but nestled in between the sea of olive trees are, lemon, mandarin,nespola trees you can also spot the grapes, tomatoes, the herbs, and countless beautiful flowers scattered around. One thing to have in mind is Don't expect a 4-5 star hotel, we stayed in the room called "Limoneto" the room was quite basic but was big enough for a family of 4. The room was complete with a cooker and sink that is big enough to Cook a small meal and with a bathroom with a shower. The sleeping arrangements were a double bed for the adults and a sofa bed for the kids. However the room offered a piece of magic, the little courtyard. Having lunch outside under the shade of the umbrella with the most amazing views over the Sicilian mountainous rugged terrain was breathtaking. Another area where l'uliveto excels is with the eating. There's one dinning room where all guests have their meals and it always felt spacious and comfortable. Almost all the produce used comes from the farm, the eggs, the fruit, the hams, honey, olives, olive oil, etc, etc,etc. Breakfast was amazing, everyday Cherubina came out with her amazing cakes, fresh fruit which were mainly figs as this was what's in season, but not like the figs we buy in a supermarket, amazing tasting figs. We had also a basket of bread to go with a choice of jams, orange, lemon, fig, peach, etc. All homemade. Great coffee, I drink espresso, and their coffee was one of the best I've had, even across Italy. Always too much for us, however, we'd be offered a sheet of aluminium foil to take any of the leftovers with us. Diner which was often served at 8 for most guests was equally delicious, you would start with the primo, which consisted of a pasta dish. Homemade pasta mostly, and with a variety of sausages, yes, using their products. I will never forget the spaghetti with courgette pasta. The secondo consisted of a meat dish with various delicious sides, made from ingredients picked that day. Fagiolini, tomatoes, courgettes in many ways, salads, etc. anything that was ready to be picked, it would usually end up on our tables same day. The meat was mainly chicken or pork and always very flavoursome however the roasted wild boar was out of this world. The swimming pool was great, the times we used it it was quiet and clean and just like the rest of the farm it offered breathtaking views. All this said, words can't describe how welcoming Giacomo, Cherubina and family make you feel. The two weeks we spent at the Agriturismo l'uliveto we felt at home all credit to this hard working, kind family running one of the most authentic places we've visited. We can't wait to return here with the rest of our family as I am sure they'll fall in love with l'uliveto Just like we did.

20/10/2025: Beautiful place, unique and original, a piano at the entrance with a pianist to give a touch of exclusivity, even if not everyone may like eating with music that drowns out your conversation with the diners, we had pizzas with bruschetta and mixed fried food, good pizzas (not exceptional) and expensive, bruschetta good and expensive, chips poor, salty and expensive, it was Saturday, the place was full but not very full but before they served us the pizzas we waited too long, anyway pleasant evening, the important thing is to be in good company

14/10/2025: Excellent pizza and attentive service. The menu is a bit confusing, but the combination of quotes and art in general is much appreciated. Quiet place.

20/10/2025: From the very start upon walking over we received Superb service from the guys here. We also felt this was one of the more ideal locations along the stretch and very well put together and organised. The music choice was also very relaxing and chilled. They also have many great facilities with lovely food choices and beverages being able to be ordered directly to your sun lounges via the app whilst you soak in the wonderful scenery and sun.

31/03/2026: We had a really great experience at Antico Caffe San Giorgio while staying in Castelmola for the winter. The place has such a relaxed vibe, especially sitting on the terrace enjoying the spectacular views. What really stood out was the people. The staff are genuinely friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being over the top. You feel comfortable right away, like you’re a regular even if it’s your first visit. The food is fresh and well-prepared, and everything just feels easy and enjoyable. In summer, this place gets very busy—and it’s easy to see why. We heard that the terrace fills up quickly, and there’s a lively atmosphere with lots of happy people enjoying food and drinks. So yes, expect a bit of a wait during peak times, but it’s definitely worth it. Thank you Sabrina, Lisa, Goli, Aziz, Sala, Monia, Manuel and all the other staff for always being so kind and helpful to me and Randy this winter.

31/03/2026: The place is very pretty and charming, but it took them over an hour to serve our food, even though there were very few people there. I think they forgot our order. The lasagna, according to my son, "is to die for." The penne with pistachio pesto and prawns wasn't good. It tasted like a supermarket ready-made meal. In short, the experience was disappointing.
