01/02/2025: We found ourselves in Castroreale by chance, and after a short tour to admire the beauty of the place, and feeling a bit peckish, also given the time, we entered the Al Duomo restaurant, where we were welcomed by the restaurateur like old friends, and had a wonderful lunch. , with 0 km products. Even our dog was welcomed kindly, so what can I say? We will be back and soon too.

01/02/2025: A SPECIAL DAY ... you go out for an aimless walk and you find yourself in one of those Sicilian villages that the whole world envies us. I had never been to Castroreale, a village just a handful of kilometers from Messina overlooking the Gulf of Milazzo and the Aeolian Islands. Among Norman towers and the inevitable castle built under the rule of Frederick II, we stop to eat at the Duomo restaurant, formerly home to the nobles' club. Between cheeses, jams, Nebrodi cured meats and a spaghetti with pistachio pesto we start talking to the owner, a returning Italian-Argentinian: born and raised in Argentina he decided to bet and invest here in Sicily. What can I say other than to go and try. Good food and good wine.

27/02/2025: Welcoming and clean place, very friendly and helpful staff, location that acts as a fishmonger with the possibility of take-away food... but the gem is the adjacent room which seats around twenty people and to say that the cuisine is exceptional is almost an understatement, you can smell the scent of the sea and not least the preparation which I think is excellent, well done frying. The overall cost in line with what is offered. I recommend it.

03/12/2024: Excellent welcome, well-kept and fairly clean place, excellent service, fresh food, cooked with passion and taste, compliments fresh fish caught of the day, served with care and kindness, the owner is a respectable person with kind ways to put guests at ease customers present in the room, made available to give explanations on the food cooked, all good, I recommend it to everyone, for the good fish-based palate, congratulations again, and I sincerely hope you continue like this. Go, you won't regret it.

12/10/2024: We stayed with my husband in this hotel and had a great time. The very kind owner Francesca pays great attention to detail. The breakfasts served on a panoramic terrace and the whole breakfast with local products. Highly recommended.

25/09/2024: A wonderful place, near the beautiful Rinella beach. Very quiet, clean rooms and absolutely wonderful terrace. Breakfast is something special, jams, yogurt, fruit juices and homemade cakes made by the owner of the resort. Every morning different tastings of delicious jams, scrambled eggs with mint (thanks Emanuela) all very good!

25/03/2025: My partner and I, following my brother's suggestion, discovered this small but welcoming restaurant in the centre, run by a nice, courteous and warm family. We ate really well and appreciated the land dishes and will gladly return to try the seafood ones. As experts in the gastronomic sector we can only highly recommend it.

02/03/2025: Siamo capitati in questa pizzeria per caso, durante la festa di carnevale . Eravamo in 4 e tutti i piatti erano eccellenti. Da provare assolutamente la pizza Desiree’ e la pizza Alicudi. Personale cordiale e prezzi accessibili. Personalmente credo che sia la pizza più buona in Sicilia

19/10/2024: Comfortable environment and ok food, above average and of good quality. Almost unbeatable value for money in the area. The style of the rooms and the soft lighting that recalls the pubs of the late 90s and 2000s are a must for those in the "anta" area and a pleasant discovery for the younger ones. The owner and the staff are very kind and professional, which is not something to be taken for granted these days. To be recommended without ifs or buts.

25/09/2024: Esposa y yo hemos visitado La Caravella muchas veces a lo largo de los años, Dominic y su equipo siempre nos han cuidado mucho y nos trataron como familia. Durante esta visita pasamos cuatro días disfrutando del paisaje y almuerzos tranquilos. Las tumbonas de playa están muy bien espaciadas y tiene una sombrilla bien anclada para proporcionar sombra si se desea. Su equipo nos recogería en nuestro hotel Taormina y nos transportaría a la playa donde nos recibirían y nos mostrarían nuestros lugares para el día. Camine unos pasos hacia atrás hasta el restaurante cubierto donde el menú es bastante grande y variado, a un precio razonable y la comida siempre deliciosa. El servicio es siempre amable, eficiente y atento. Al final del día el transporte de Dominic nos lleva de vuelta a nuestro hotel. Gracias a Dominic y a todo el equipo por otra maravillosa visita de varios días!

13/09/2024: Gran experiencia en la playa. La Caracalla nos recogió con su lanzadera y nos llevó al club de playa. Incluido en nuestro precio era el servicio de transporte, 2 sillas y una sombrilla. La playa estaba limpia y el mar claro. Tuvimos un almuerzo fabuloso en el restaurante y el propietario nos organizó un viaje en barco por la zona. Muy recomendable.

10/04/2025: Se passate da Capo d'Orlando, non potete non passare da Terra. Ottimo ristorante in centro a Capo d'Orlando, con una sala ampia, un servizio gentile e una proposta di menù che oltre a variare stagionalmente, è una scoperta continua. Prezzi giusti, consigliato per ogni occasione e per piccole cerimonie!

15/03/2025: Das Essen war sehr gut, und die Preise waren angemessen. Bedienung war sehr nett und hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben, dass sie uns versteht. Wir haben für drei mal Pasta zwei Bier und große Wasser 44 € bezahlt.

18/03/2025: I did not stay here but went to the rooftop bar. The view is amazing. Drinks and snacks were excellent. Being in Taormina while the evenings are still cool, this is the spot for an indoor aperitivo.

08/03/2025: Well-run hotel, very friendly staff. Valet parking worked excellently. Our room, 335, was an ideal size with a view of the sea and Mount Etna. Breakfast on the 6th floor was perfect, with attentive service. Major drawback: A terrible musty smell in the newly renovated bathroom. The hotel couldn't remedy the situation. The only storage space is the vanity, which is lined with spare rolls of toilet paper. The hairdryer hangs in a cloth bag on the towel radiator. The mirror is disadvantageous compared to the window. There is no makeup mirror. The bathroom window had to be left open at all times, otherwise the stench would have been unbearable. This made the room cold in the first week of March. The bathroom was therefore spartan. Therefore, one point deducted. We were annoyed for giving it 5 points!
