20/07/2024: Being too busy with work, I couldn't organize anything for my wife's birthday, from work itself I found 10 minutes to sneak out and I arrived here at the Musumeci pastry shop (of my childhood friend Samuele) and no Ferrero ice cream cake Rocher that was the end of the world. And I made an impression ❤️ thanks Samuele ❤️

11/07/2024: Tasty pastries, both savory and sweet. We tried cannoli with pistachio and chocolate. The pistachio one is definitely the better one, a little bit on the heavy side. The little almond cookies are to die for, so yummy. The lady was really nice and welcoming

29/07/2024: All good, very fresh octopus salad, risotto with marinara, excellent fresh spaghetti with clams, a delight. Impeccable service.

21/07/2024: Excellent cuisine, we had a really good dinner, fresh raw appetizers, the first courses are really good, like everything else. Excellent service, friendly staff, the place is also in an excellent location for parking. I recommend it easily.

27/08/2024: After many years, I returned to this place. Same service and quality of food. The starters (raw and hot) are plentiful and excellent. The first and second courses are very good. I recommend, for dessert, the lemon and mandarin granita and, in combination, the amaro produced by the owner of the restaurant.

21/08/2024: Really charming place and excellent food. The dishes are seasonal from what I understand, so maybe it won't be possible to always find the same dish, but it's still worth it because everything is excellent. We will definitely be back!

24/08/2024: Finally a serious and studied proposal of vegan pizzas. The one in the photo is "Albachiara" with fried aubergines, tomato and additionally veg mozzarella from Dreamfarm. Excellent dough, well-made combination of flavors (it almost looked like a parmesan pizza). I also tried the "Jenny" pizza with chicory, walnut cream, cardoncelli and veg mozzarella. Finally, closing the pizza party with an excellent vegan pistachio and hazelnut spumone. Congratulations, we finally needed a vegan pizza menu like this!

18/08/2024: A v.santa Filomena,in pieno centro, troviamo questo locale,su consiglio di un'amica, che lo conosce sin dalle origini. Prendiamo pochi piatti da condividere,il servizio è rapido e impeccabile, ci portano due piattini ad ogni portata, squisita la calamarata alla catanese,eccezionale il baccalà e lo spada in un letto di patate con pomodori confit e wakame. Per il dolce eravamo già sazi. Conto onesto, da provare.

02/09/2024: Doesn’t look flashy, but the food was amazing! Much better than at other, hipper looking, restaurants. Compliments, also real pizza. To our suprise a lot of places in sicily don’t have real pizza. Not antica taverna! Real pizza oven and real good pizza’s.

10/07/2024: I had read the reviews of this place and was convinced that I was going to eat in a place where quality reigned supreme. Unfortunately, on the seafood appetizer, I cannot say that expectations were met and from reading the menu, neither. Too many seafood products carried the asterisk. Once the oyster was removed, all the rest of the appetizer was obvious and did not impress either in terms of goodness, quality or freshness. Then, it is interesting to underline that whoever is appointed to take command must not do his own thing. He must let the customer decide because he is the one who pays for what he wants to order and not for what is imposed on him with the subterfuge of misunderstanding. White wine is served at a temperature of 8/10 degrees and it is logical that the basket is needed to keep it fresh, especially in this period. You shouldn't hear the sentence: the basket is only provided for some labels because it gives the impression of rudeness and lack of professionalism. On the downside: the spaghetti with sea urchins was truly excellent. Two people served and looked after the customers and the youngest demonstrated sensitivity, professionalism and care for the diners. The other, unfortunately, seemed to have lost these qualities. The three stars are for the spaghetti with sea urchins which I recommend to anyone who decides to go and taste them.

05/07/2024: I highly recommend the breakfast staple and in any case all the breakfast pieces including lunch and savory dinner are extremely good and genuine. Without considering that the tables are large and kept cool and the owners are very kind and extremely welcoming people

13/07/2024: What a tranquil oasis of wonderful things. Amazing food and wine, and lovely service. In July the rooms are a little warm - but as half way up Etna by evening things have cooled down - not terrible or sweaty. Views of Etna from the courtyard sipping local Caricante in blissful tranquility is pretty hard to beat. Just a small handful of rooms around a small courtyard makes this place intimate and peaceful. The hostess Alessandro is amazing - kind funny and welcoming - makes the best Spritz’s (of multiple kinds) cooks amazing fresh local food simply but with finesse. Knows the wine list (which is full of reasonably priced local wines) backwards. Highly recommend…

07/07/2024: Cozy and calming place, forest with fruits, swimming pool, clean and comfortable rooms. Delicious food. Close to Etna Volcano. It is possible to see Etna Volcano from the garden, sitting under an olive tree. Unique experience.
