04/06/2025: I had the opportunity to take a lunch break in this place, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, we tasted their main dish, pasta alla catanese as well as several other fish specialties, everything was delicious, very fresh fish recommended by 5 stars.

04/08/2024: Historic kiosk in the historic center of Catania where you can taste many fruit syrups in frozen soda water. On summer days I always prefer to drink salt and lemon soda water.

17/06/2025: ROSA AND LORY ON A HOT SUNDAY MORNING. THIS IS HOW MY EXPERIENCE BEGINS. As soon as you enter the pastry shop, it is difficult to realize who is behind the high counter topped with all sorts of delights and goodies, created by the hands of the industrious tirolari. I stop to observe pastries covered in pistachio icing and filled with cream, then, I see the typical "giammilline" of the place... I relax, I look at the pastries one by one, the delicious and refined ricotta cannoletti and I ask the price per kg of what I need and what I would like to take away, so, I give myself more time to also take a look at the flavors of artisanal ice creams on display... The small and polite sales point is not yet packed like a few months ago, it is still early, but it does not take long to see it fill up, so, I decide to be served by one of the kind and smiling employees, Rosa, and then, I also exchange a few words with Lory, ... I take "giammilline", sfogliatelle and good ice creams, at honest prices, also, as a surprise, I find the ice creams as a gift! I rejoiced for the happiness of having found staff available to dialogue, clean, kind, smiling and not mummies as often found around. I will return and convey the positive information about the store.

07/06/2025: Arrivati per caso in questa trattoria perché eravamo di strada e affamati. Ci accoglie il proprietario chiedendo se sappiamo come funziona questo locale. Alla nostra risposta negativa ci è stato spiegato tutto ma la sorpresa è stata quando è cominciata ad arrivare una quantità industriale di antipasti. Tutto pesce,cotto,crudo,fritto...una meraviglia! Terminati gli antipasti non siamo stati in grado di mangiare altro. Abbiamo concluso con un buon sorbetto al mandarino. Qualità ottima e gentilezza da apprezzare. Grazie!

30/05/2025: We had the great pleasure to be part of a wedding here in May 2025. What a special place this is, a true antidote to the impersonal machine that is so much of the modern wedding industry. A stay at Castello Camemi is like visiting very generous and hospitable friends at their country house - easy, relaxed, nothing too much trouble and so much freedom to use the space and your time exactly as you wish. The rooms are HUGE and tastefully decorated with fantastic bathrooms. The food in the restaurant is excellent as is the wine list. There are a few touches which makes it feel slightly less than 5 star in the typical sense - no luxury/known-brand toiletries in the rooms, no turn-down service, no elegant bar area for cocktails (although they'll bring you a drink wherever you happen to be!) - but for me, the warm hospitality and uniquely intimate and relaxed environment more than makes up for these international standards. Most importantly of all the bride and groom couldn't have been happier.

Over the years I have organized various events birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas, Easter parties and every time they did their best to make all my events important. Gaetano, Antonio and all the staff are unique, helpful and very kind.

06/07/2025: If it was just the food I would have given five stars, but there are some aspects that disappointed me... the pastry shop does not have tables where you can eat in peace, so with the photonic heat that it makes you have to take your things and eat them standing outside. Very good cannolo, cassatina for my taste too sweet.
