08/09/2025: A reception venue for ceremonies, from birthdays to weddings. Located in the open countryside, it offers large open spaces and a reception hall. Guests can also stay in their rooms. It also features a spa currently under construction. The owners are wonderful, incredibly kind, and attentive to every detail to ensure every ceremony is flawless.

05/10/2025: Absolutely the best pizza in Lecce if not in all of Puglia. First class ingredients. Went back to try their fish and was just as impressed. Reasonable prices. Reservation recommended.

22/09/2025: Delicious pizza, top-quality ingredients. The Figata pizza is a cut above; the flavors of the different ingredients are clearly distinct, and they pair beautifully together. I don't have a particular note about the toasted bread pieces; you could find or improve the crunchiness even further, perhaps by revisiting the toasted bread or substituting it with toasted blanched almonds. Delicious fresh figs, excellent dough, very digestible; be careful with the honey; it plays a key role. A truly delicate and delicious pizza! Bravo!

30/09/2025: One of the best restaurants in Sicily After three weeks of cycling across Sicily, I've tried so many restaurants. Thanks to two very kind people, a plate of pasta and a delicious dessert, all handmade, I definitely recommend it!

13/09/2025: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was okay; the toast, although large, was very dry and there wasn't enough on it. The fries were unfortunately far too salty. Nevertheless, the value for money was good.

29/08/2025: I had dinner here one evening in August. Excellent toasted sandwiches, made with high-quality ingredients. The staff is attentive and happy to advise you on your toast selection. You can eat inside or outside, on a street adjacent to Catania's typical Via Etnea. If you're unsure of what to eat and want to get through quickly, I highly recommend it. The toast is enormous.

12/10/2025: Il Palmento is a very traditional and characteristic old building. In addition to a restaurant area, the pizzeria also offers rooms. The pizza is truly excellent, and the service and kindness of the owners were impeccable. My only complaint is about the rooms; the room we stayed in was spacious and very clean, comfortable, but the bathroom, while clean, was a bit dated and the shower was narrow. I would recommend updating the bathrooms, although I only saw the one in the room we were assigned, so I don't know if the others are different. Otherwise, the staff is truly hospitable and very friendly. There is ample free, reserved parking. We had a great stay. ☺️

16/10/2025: We stopped at this traditional pizzeria for lunch and had a wonderful time. The pizza is thin-crust and the place is small, but the ingredients are top-quality, and the experience of watching it being prepared is truly unique. You can't imagine eating at an old-fashioned pizzeria and having Michelin-starred service at the same time. We had a wonderful time; I highly recommend this place for an authentic experience!

29/09/2025: When we walked in, everything seemed fine. When we got to the table, they handed us the menus. The prices were sky-high (the kind I won't put on the restaurant). A small tub of chips was €5, not to mention the other food. When the pizzas arrived, we practically had to cut them with a chainsaw because they were so hard and dry. The pizza sauce was acidic and not at all fair. And the waiters were neither friendly nor kind. I absolutely won't be returning, and I strongly advise against going. See you later.

01/09/2025: I visited for work with a colleague and found the place quite busy, which is definitely a positive sign. We were greeted with kindness and personality, and after perusing the menu, we asked the waiter for advice, who suggested some off-menu dishes. We also chose the pappardelle with black truffle, which had just arrived: we saw it with our own eyes as they were preparing it. A truly pleasant experience, made special by the care and quality of the products.

25/08/2025: **English below** ------------- My Monday lunch experience in brief: almost an hour's wait for three plates of overcooked pasta, despite there being about 15 people in total. Several dishes on the menu were only partially available or unavailable due to a lack of certain ingredients. Overall, the food tasted okay. The waiters were friendly. Pizza was unavailable at lunch. The place certainly doesn't deserve one star, but not more than three. I don't know if I'll return, but if I do, I hope to have a better experience. I'm attaching a photo of the seafood linguine, which was certainly a generous portion, but the sauce was completely runny (the consistency of water). Note that clams were unavailable (as were other ingredients), so I hope this is an exception and not the norm. It should be noted that in the absence of clams, an extra langoustine and mussels were added, which was at least a welcome gesture. -------------- My experience in a nutshell: a wait of almost an hour for three plates of overcooked pasta, even though only about 15 people in total were there. Several dishes on the menu were unavailable or partially available due to a lack of ingredients. The food tasted okay overall. The waiters were kind. Pizza isn't available for lunch. The place certainly doesn't deserve 1 star, but not more than 3 either. I'm not sure if I'll go back, but if I do, I hope to have a better experience. I've attached a photo of the linguine allo scoglio, with a portion that was certainly generous but the sauce was completely watery. You can somewhat see this in the bottom part of the image, although it's not very clear - my bad for running away without taking any pictures after not even finishing the dish. I want to stress though that clams (clams) weren't available - like other ingredients - so I really hope the look of the dish is exceptional and not the norm. I must say that in the absence of clams, an extra scampo and some extra mussels were added, which was at the very least a thoughtful gesture. Oh and by the way I'm a local - I think it's worth mentioning it, just in case someone thinks that I'm a tourist and I know nothing about Italian cuisine.

02/10/2025: A cozy place where you can eat meat (various types) grilled to order! I always order the chicken rolls or cutlet, very good! For those who like it, they also have horse meatballs. They're served on a large platter with your choice of potatoes and/or cooked or raw vegetables. The selection changes depending on the day. I come back often.

23/09/2025: I arrive at the restaurant at 10.40pm, Saturday evening... I ask for a table for two and they put us at a high table with stools... I go to the counter to choose the meat and ask for slices... already finished, pistachio meatballs ditto... Ok... He tells me that there is only what I see almost annoyed, ditto for the side dishes 3 bowls of which one is empty and practically non-existent choice, anyway we book... While I wait, 2 normal tables become free and I ask if we can move to 1 of these, the waitress huffing tells us ok sit at that table.... I wait a few minutes and the dishes arrive, I ask for the bread because otherwise she wouldn't bring it and she brings me a bag with 3 slices, more or less 60 grams... for 2 people... Halfway through I ask the waitress for more, and always with the lack of kindness and professionalism that has characterized her all evening she tells us that there is no more.... Ok... We finish the dinner I pay €28 to stay with We're hungry and we leave... The food is good, of course, but the waitress looked so rude she'd finished her shift two hours early. And on a Saturday, the counter is a bit fuller, and the bread is plentiful, I think that's a given.

03/10/2025: This was the best pizza I've ever had. Really delicious, made with good ingredients. The service was nice and fast. We were very satisfied.

24/09/2025: We stopped for dinner. We parked nearby in a covered paid parking lot, as it's in a restricted traffic zone. The first course was good, with generous portions; everything seemed fresh. They also have drinks to pair with dinner or as an aperitif. Friendly, kind, and attentive staff. Recommended!

05/10/2025: The perfect representation of immensity! Through a friend and his relatives, one evening during our visit to the village of Militello in the Catania Valley for the famous mustard and prickly pear festival, we came to dine at this historic restaurant. The experience was almost heavenly; everything was delicious, plentiful, and varied, with both fish and meat appetizers, and generous and high-quality main courses, such as tuna and Florentine steak. The location is beautiful, offering three dining rooms and a variety of TVs, including Serie A football matches. A very, very positive experience, with a very reasonable quality/quantity/price ratio, hard to beat! It's a unique place that I recommend to anyone in the area!

04/10/2025: The welcoming atmosphere and prompt service, despite the large crowd, make this place perfect for intimate lunches and lively gatherings. The seafood appetizers are excellent, ranging from crispy mixed fried fish to flavorful raw seafood. The dry-aged beef will satisfy even those who prefer grilled meats. The lightly seared tuna will satisfy even the most fastidious Michelin critics. The desserts, oh so sweet! (Lemon Warm Heart, lemon cake, and pistachio cheesecake) are delicious and never cloying, highly recommended and definitely worth a diet! Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations!
