20/08/2024: Excellent... or rather excellent gluten-free pizza....nice and knowledgeable guys..well-kept place.

20/08/2024: A pinch of extra salt in the pizzas and more euros in the bill which amounts to around 20 euros for pizza plus beer. Too. Save all the really friendly staff and the place but we are on the outskirts of Gallipoli without a sea view, too bad. French fries at 6 euros per plate are to be avoided, they are not starred except for the price.

12/08/2024: This place is suitable for everyone, whether alone, as a couple or with family and friends - everyone can find space here. The extensive menu offers something for everyone, whether vegetarian, seafood, meat and pizza. Everything is recommended. The staff tries very hard to accommodate all customers when there is a lot of traffic.

11/08/2024: So to recap: we call to book a table for 2 asking if it is possible to have a round pizza instead of by the meter as one of us is lactose intolerant, and we are told yes. Once we arrived we were told that this was not possible and that therefore there were 2 alternatives: either that I did not take the pizza (so they had to decide what I should eat) or that I, to avoid risks of contamination, had to take the pizza with lactose-free mozzarella despite not being intolerant. I was also told that they didn't have much round pizza dough, it's a shame that as I finished eating I saw one being brought to the table next to mine!!!! Moral of the story, 6 euros of lactose-free mozzarella, forced to eat it, I repeat, even though I was not intolerant and paying a shameful surcharge, one of the flavors of the pizzas was wrong, good but burnt pizzas. All topped off by an arrogant, rude waiter (the adult one, the only adult) who was in awe even at the table of 10 people next to mine, who like me in the end out of desperation called another waiter for the order .

17/08/2024: Very nice, well-kept and clean beach. As far as I'm concerned, however, there are various flaws: The showers and foot washes, although paid, are cold. We paid 65 euros for three sunbeds and an umbrella and we thought we could at least stay on the beach until sunset but the beach closes at half past seven... Bathing even earlier. Despite this we had a good time

27/07/2024: Attentive, friendly staff, well-kept hotel, just great

26/07/2024: The reception and hall of the “hotel” are with antique furniture and it is very dark. The employees are each dressed in a different way, they do not wear a uniform (starting with the one who looks like the boss who is shirtless throughout the complex). The rooms smell like vinegar (I imagine it is because of the cleaning products they use). And the furniture is broken. The trash can attached to the drinks machine is always full (they don't clean it) the only thing they take care of are the gardens. It is an establishment focused on events (weddings, birthdays, parties, etc.). The breakfast service is terrible. They don't have enough staff to serve the tables. You have to request eggs, omelettes, coffee and pancakes constantly. They don't have a cook, it's the same person for everything. The hotel leaves a lot to be desired. It is a hostel with good gardens (provided that you don't step in the excrement of the dogs that are allowed to enter the hotel, even at breakfast).

08/07/2024: Io e mio marito siamo stati 4 giorni in vacanza qui. Il posto è splendido. L’atmosfera molto rilassante. Le camere spaziose e colorate, sono dotate di un piccolo giardino molto strategico per lavare i costumi, stendere gli asciugamani e stare in relax a leggere. Il personale molto attento, mi ha procurato il latte di soya senza che io lo chiedessi. Anche la colazione molto buona con pasticciotti di qualità e prodotti locali.

24/06/2024: Ottima location camere pulite e in ordine,colazione fantastica con prodotti genuini di produzione propria, il Titolare Sig.Barone mi ha fatto tornare bambino facendomi assaggiare il siero di ricotta,buonissimo. Famiglia veramente gentilissima. Mi auguro di poterci ritornare appena possibile.

09/08/2024: Yesterday 8-8-24 I had dinner with my wife at l'Ostricaro in Gallipoli and we were super happy. The prices are normal and the quality of the product is really very high. The staff is really prepared, friendly and fast. The crudo was delicious. As a first course we ate square spaghettoni cacio e pepe with tuna tartare and tagliolini with stracciata, purple prawn and frisa... Both truly of the highest quality. Fried prawns and calamari with a sauce made by them which went very well indeed. A restaurant that we recommend without a shadow of a doubt.

07/08/2024: Overall, the food is not bad, unfortunately the portions are very small, the prices are absolutely too high for what is offered, the staff is not adequate and a bit rude, an experience not to be repeated.

27/08/2024: Esperienza indimenticabile! Siamo stati in questo locale perché consigliatoci da amici del posto. Siamo stati a pranzo e nonostante il caldo torrido fuori, l'interno del locale era ben arieggiato. Eravamo 5 adulti e 2 bambine. Per le bambine, abbiamo richiesto un primo che consisteva in un brodo di pesce, i piatti sono stati molto apprezzati tant'è che è stato mangiato tutto. Noi adulti abbiamo preso dapprima un misto di antipasti crudi e cotti. Che dire.... la qualità prima di tutto! Pesce fresco e buono e pietanze ottime. Inoltre porzioni abbondanti tant'è che abbiamo ordinato solo un primo piatto come assaggio xke gia eravamo sazi; e il primo non ha deluso le attese. Spaghetti con gambero rosso eccezionali! Bisogna precisare che tra una portata e l'altra, non abbiamo atteso neanche molto, nonostante il locale fosse quasi pieno. Davvero un esperienza indimenticabile. Complimenti al cuoco per le deliziose pietanze ed al cameriere Enrico che si è reso disponibilissimo ad esaudire ogni nostra richiesta. Il costo è stato giusto data la qualità del pesce. D'altronde se si vuole mangiare bene e soprattutto pesce fresco, non si può pretendere di avere il prezzo di un " menù turistico ". Ritorneremo sicuramente.

25/08/2024: Ci siamo fidati delle 4 stelle ma è stato una vera delusione. Eravamo 12 persone. In primis il locale non è confortevole perché non climatizzato bene quindi si moriva di caldo. Il sevizio scadente dopo gli antipasti abbiamo aspettato 50 minuti per avere i primi. La qualità dei prodotti non è nemmeno sufficiente. Abbiamo preso sei antipasti “grotta marinara” caratterizzato da 7 portate di pessima qualità, non posso mangiare il riso in bianco con il tonno! Dopo 5 minuti sono arrivati i primi e qualche secondo, i primi di medio/ bassa qualità del tutto insapori. Qualcuno non ha preso il primo ma una tagliata di tonno senza sapore. La nostra esperienza è stata PESSIMA. Il costo anche eccessivo 480€ per 6 antipasti diviso 12, 1 piatto di crudo, e 12 portate tra primo e secondi. Indipendentemente dal prezzo ne doveva valere almeno la pena! DELUSIONE TOTALE.

27/08/2024: Unique rudeness. If a customer comes to tell you about a problem you don't have to make excuses and rail against the customer. I came after 10 minutes to tell you that the bread was dry and probably old left in the air and he started yelling at me 'nu è quistu u pane tostu go tell your mother'. Whether it was the air conditioning or the bread was really from the night before or not, you first had to apologize. I certainly don't come to you to beg for €2 worth of bread but seeing as it was just bought there was certainly some problem. It was inedible you know how it is. I don't buy hard bread on purpose, I usually don't know how you do it in your business. Learn education and admit mistakes. I came politely and without making a fuss to explain the problem to you but you attacked me verbally. Obviously I didn't want anything else and left. How dare you treat a customer or rather a person in this way? You humiliated me for a half bread, you should be ashamed.

12/08/2024: Decent pizza, good raw materials, it arrived a little raw but very very hot. I can define it as a standard home delivery pizza, there is better but certainly worse. Excellent service, very fast and allows home ordering.

03/08/2024: The location is very beautiful and evocative and the staff is welcoming and very familiar. My family and I stayed in a quadruple room for four nights. In our opinion the room is still too small for 4 people. The bunk bed where my children slept was one of the old ones still with springs and in fact it turned out to be uncomfortable and creaky. In the bathroom we had problems with the shower head which was promptly changed the next day after we reported it. Negative note about the bathroom is that the smell of sewage emerged from the tap, especially in the morning. Breakfast was good and we also had dinner the first evening. The dishes were prepared with care and you could feel the genuine cuisine prepared by the expert hands of the chef. Overall I recommend this place for a quick stopover or definitely to stop and eat!

23/08/2024: ristorante carino, all’inizio non capisci dove sia perché c’è ne sono due attaccati e la loro insegna è molto piccola, lo fanno anche alla esterno sulla piazza. cibo discreto, la pizza era un po’ secca e il dolce era congelato, per non parlare del sorbetto che era una granita fatta male. del resto ci sta

13/03/2024: The ribs were good, the Caesar salad was okay but overpriced. Otherwise we didn't think anything was really good: we waited forever for drinks (wine and water), the waiter was uninterested and cuddly, 4 giant TVs constantly filled the room with sound, and the music was turned up very loud (the request to turn it down was granted, but after 20 minutes it was loud again). And overall: far too expensive.
