The restaurant is spacious and welcoming, with a simple, friendly atmosphere. The cuisine offers well-prepared and authentic Apulian dishes: we appreciated the authentic flavors, generous portions, and excellent quality. The staff, especially the very kind Maria Pia, was invaluable and available to offer advice, making the experience even more enjoyable. Excellent value for money. 30/10/2025: I can only speak positively about it. Personally, it's been delighting my palate for 40 years. I remember when I was in middle school, since it's right across the street, I couldn't help but order a pizza with sausages upon leaving... The smell took you straight there. Years have passed, but history repeats itself. I highly recommend going there, even for lunch. Takeout is also available. Must try 💯💯💯💯

30/03/2026: From the name you expect who knows what to expect, but then you'll find broken plates and worn glasses, the cold cuts they used were either old or had been prepared for a while, it was pointless to eat and drink and on top of that half an hour for two aperitifs.

25/11/2025: My wife and I stopped for a quick stop on the way home, thinking we'd be quick since there was almost no one in the dining room. But after taking our order, the waiter stopped to say hello and chat with some other people who seemed like friends who had arrived in the meantime. After a while, he remembered us and asked us to reorder because he'd forgotten the dishes we'd ordered. After finally receiving our dishes, my wife asked for salt, which never arrived! Another customer near our table, having received the same treatment, commented, "I'm getting up and leaving now!" We asked for the bill at the cash register without even ordering coffee because, given the previous situation, we probably would have had to wait another hour!

23/11/2025: Average food, but terrible service. We waited a long time when we arrived because the older waiter was busy chatting with other people. After eating the first course, we waited over an hour before being asked to order the second course again. When the second course finally arrived, I asked for lemon, but it was never brought. A disappointing experience.

25/01/2026: It seems there's a script that many places, in line with a widespread attitude across the board, recite with great ease. I'll return to this concept in closing. I've been to this place several times, and that means I've had a good time, for various reasons. Above all, I like the ambiance and the desserts, the homemade ones. And the soups that come with platters.... I'll go further, and that is that I'll be back again despite tonight's disappointment. The bread isn't arriving. The wine isn't arriving. I thought, "Oh well, my doctor must have told them not to give me too many carbohydrates and not to let me drink."... In reality, there were quite a few people, and I understand; I didn't want to be a pain. But the idea and the meaning of this negative judgment came to me at the cash register. Here, I had to ask them not to charge me for the wine I hadn't drunk: okay. No questions asked, not even a curiosity to understand, let alone excuses. Meanwhile, the line at the counter continued for the kind offer of a liqueur to customer-friends. Did I also want the free liqueur? No, the wine I ordered, which I would have paid for, would have been enough. And it would have been enough not to see the usual, unintelligent, "you yes" and "you no" charade. For me, this is a negative judgment, due to the lack of professionalism and even good taste. I'll return, but I'll skip a few rounds. And I invite anyone reading this comment to do the same.

24/08/2025: We went this summer with friends. We ate seafood. The atmosphere was comfortable, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The dishes were beautifully presented and of excellent quality. We'll be back next year.

18/04/2026: It's true, the hotel is a bit stuck in the past—the bathrooms could use some updating—but overall it has its charm because those days were clearly good times. Everything works, the staff is friendly, the breakfast is plentiful and has a bit of everything, and the station is just steps away. Anyone who has given it such a negative review, I think, hasn't traveled much.

06/01/2026: We've been going to their ice cream shop and pastry shop for years. Our go-to in Sannicandro. Seeing a completely renovated shop now, complete with a vast selection of desserts, savory treats, and cakes is a delight for the eyes and the palate. The owner is incredibly kind and takes care of her customers... always a smile for everyone. A small note about the newly hired staff... given their inexperience, they served me a glass of prosecco filled with ice... I smiled and had it changed, but that shouldn't happen.

04/01/2026: The brioches are delicious, with the option to choose what to fill them with. They're good, and they fit my tastes: cream or berry jam.

05/09/2025: We arrived at 1.05pm. Outside it says delicatessen, trattoria, takeaway and many other nice things... the locals spoke well of it... where do we go and what do they say... WE ARE OUT OF HOURS... takeaway only... but what does WE ARE OUT OF HOURS mean at 1.05pm and a gentleman sitting at the table without even a good morning or an adequate explanation that should be given to a tourist tells me... WE HAVE TO EAT TOO... but for goodness sake... then close up and don't answer me in that tone... We leave disappointed... after a restaurateur answers like that... I'm fine with it... as he will think the same thing... but you're working and I'm not your sister. FOR HIM ONE STAR

11/11/2025: Stopped by chance for lunch on a Sunday. The place is old and could use some updating. The pizza was thin and rather dry for my taste. The presentation was also very sad. The girls serving were very good and quick.
