My mother was initially admitted to the neurology department and then to the abdominal surgery department. She was hospitalized for about a month, and she was discharged today. Our family experience makes me think that being a doctor is a mission...being one with kindness is a rare gift! All the doctors were very kind, especially in the neurology department, where we spoke with Dr. Costantino, while in the abdominal surgery department, our closest contact was with Dr. Bottalico. Aside from these two doctors, with whom we had the most contact, all the staff we interacted (in both departments) demonstrated the utmost professionalism and helpfulness, which are not always a given, especially when coupled with such kindness! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Good morning and Happy Easter to everyone, especially to everyone in the neurosurgery department who have been angels to me. I was operated on March 11th and I feel like thanking the whole team from the bottom of my heart, who have been incredibly welcoming and equally professional... a big thank you to Dr. Impusino... many greetings.

Excellent experience. My brother underwent surgery in the Urology department in March 2026 using the Holep method. A huge thank you to the team of doctors, nurses, and even the anesthesiologist, who were so kind. I would say that the San Pio family feels very, very humane and polite, and the operating room is very advanced and technologically advanced. Thank you, and continue to do good and heal the sick and suffering until God one day calls us to our heavenly home.

I can confidently say that the Maxillofacial Surgery Department at 'Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza' (San Giovanni Rotondo) is world-class. My 77-year-old mother recently underwent a highly complex 12-hour procedure: a buccoglossopelvectomy with RFFF (Radial Forearm Free Flap) reconstruction and bilateral neck dissection. The technical mastery required for such microsurgery is immense, but the results achieved by this department were nothing short of extraordinary. What truly sets this department apart is the seamless coordination of the entire team. From the surgical brilliance in the OR to the specialized nursing care and the early intervention of the speech therapy (logopedia) team, every step was executed with precision. My mother was discharged in just 13 days—breathing independently, walking, and already regaining oral function.
This is more than just a hospital; it is a center of excellence where cutting-edge oncology meets profound human compassion. To anyone facing complex head and neck diagnoses: you are in the best hands possible here. A heartfelt thank you to the surgeons, nurses, and staff for their dedication.

The Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza hospital is a hospital of excellence in southern Italy where people come from all over the world. There are excellent doctors, qualified staff of all levels and the cleaning staff is everywhere. The hospital is clean both in the wards and in the waiting rooms, in the bathrooms and in every corner of the hospital, not to mention the emergency room. The triage works wonderfully, the wait is short because there are rooms for all types of arrival codes. What can we say, thank you to San Pio for having created this hospital? THANK YOU❤️🙏

I was recently admitted to Casa Sollievo Della Sofferenza in San Giovanni Rotondo for surgery, first in week surgery and then in abdominal surgery. Believe me, I was shocked by the incredible humanity of the staff, especially the nurses and the healthcare assistants. I remember first the unapproachable doctor, now his incredible humanity. Congratulations, I'm satisfied.

I would like to thank the nurses and healthcare workers in the gynecology department for the care they provided me after the embolization of my uterine fibroids. Right now, the word "thank you" seems too small and insignificant to express my gratitude.
Beyond professionalism, humanity has taken over. You are ANGELS! I hope all patients encounter people like these along their journey. Thank you.
