04/04/2026: It was on our list of places to visit, to try, and we finally went. In my opinion, it's a wine bar with a kitchen, serving good, high-quality osteria-style cuisine. They have a large selection of wines at fair prices. The simple dishes are traditional from Puglia and Gargano. We didn't try the meat, but they did try the cod in five different versions, all excellent. The traditional country appetizers were good. The EVO oil is locally produced, and you can taste it. A very welcoming place in the historic part of town; you can't access it by car, only on foot. A very good experience, definitely worth trying again. I personally found the chickpea and turnip hummus dish very good. Very well balanced.

11/05/2026: Sale e Pepe Restaurant is one of those quiet restaurants where service is warm and friendly; it's definitely a good choice for those seeking a quiet meal. The menu balances traditional and innovative, offering traditional dishes adapted to the concept of a fine-dining restaurant. The restaurant also offers a daily menu (with two dishes) to offer regulars a bit of novelty and variety. The service is meticulously maintained by the waiters, especially the Maître d', who resolves any issues with extreme professionalism and speed.

09/05/2026: I had an appetizer of 6 mozzarella balls with eggplant and shrimp tartare: microscopic, frozen mozzarella balls, no discernible flavor. The first course was bavette with mullet bottarga: the pasta was very good, but the sauce was undetectable. The dessert was: cream puffs with dark chocolate ganache; on the plate, a ball of shortcrust pastry covered in icing... this too was tasteless. In short, a pretentious, expensive place, with food far below the price and expectations!

10/02/2026: An excellent restaurant, offering both set and à la carte menus, all typical of Puglia. The dining room staff is knowledgeable, polite, and always available to offer advice. Located 50 meters from the new Padre Pio Church, you can park your car in the restaurant parking lot. Recommended.

29/12/2025: I have been to this restaurant twice already and this was the third, I have to say that the food was good, the only thing was the cold pork, the place was really beautiful with the backdrop of the new church of Padre Pio, overall it was a good experience

06/05/2026: Fantastic experience. We organized a training course for young union members and had a wonderful time, it felt like home. The owners and staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The quality and price of the services offered are also excellent. Thanks to Matteo Daniele and all the brothers, and especially their mother. The chef is fantastic, she prepares mouth-watering dishes and made a delicious cake.

02/05/2026: We stayed overnight in San Giovanni Rotondo and were looking for something to eat. Thanks to the guys who gave us the leaflet, they even provided a shuttle to take us to the restaurant, and then drove us back after we'd finished. But now I want to talk about the good food: excellent first courses, spectacular meat, side dishes, and drinks. The staff was efficient and very kind. We'll definitely be back. Thanks guys, and keep up the good work.

01/06/2026: We were at a friends' evening, 6 adults and 4 children, we had pizzas and chips and bruschetta to nibble on with drinks, we paid only a modest sum of 320 euros, avoid this place.

01/06/2026: We stayed here for two nights. The staff were friendly and the owner was very kind. A few small things could be improved to make the place more comfortable and pleasant (e.g., a cleaner pool and loungers), but overall we had a really good time. The place is very quiet and surrounded by nature, just 10 meters from San Giovanni Rotondo.

The atmosphere was modern yet refined, and the service was impeccable, despite the busy schedule due to the nearby Olympic Games. Competitive prices and takeout available. See you next time!

01/05/2026: My son and I ate at this restaurant because it was on the way. We were more than satisfied and decided to return the next day with my husband. We ate divinely, but it's a shame we didn't take a picture of the appetizer, which is enough for 2-3 people. Otherwise, the dishes were super generous and uniquely flavorful... look at the photos!

24/02/2026: After a seafood lunch there, I got food poisoning. I went to the emergency room because I ate raw fish. Luckily, I didn't have any bacteria, but that lunch cost me six hours in the emergency room and a horrible experience. I don't recommend anyone go there; you shouldn't mess with fish; if it's not properly cared for, it can be dangerous.
