01/06/2026: Everything was excellent in a stunning setting. Highly recommended. P.S. Navigating the dirt road and scree slope to get there by motorbike was a real bonus. But there's also a convenient road.

11/06/2026: A typical Italian trattoria! Very family-friendly, with those distinctive aromas. The place is ideal for watching the sunset; it has both an enclosed and an open area. It's right across from the port parking lot, which is perfect, and parking costs €1 per hour—very convenient. The restrooms are spotless, but not suitable for people with mobility issues. The entrance is via a steep staircase.

08/03/2026: Unfortunately, there's no point in serving excellent food when you're then forced to SCREAM to converse with your guests at the table, given the screams and shouts of rude children running around the tables the entire time, with their parents completely indifferent. Unfortunately, in Vieste, when there are no tourists, this seems to be normal, as the same thing has happened to me in other places. Perhaps a separate dining room or a children's area would be a good idea. The service also isn't commensurate with the price, which is quite high. The exterior, a beautiful olive grove, deserves special mention.

23/10/2025: Review: Chalet Degli Ulivi (visit in August 2025) Unfortunately, our visit was a disappointment – ​​even though we were really looking forward to it after reading so many good reviews. The service was completely overwhelmed: only one waiter was allowed to take orders, the others seemed to wander around aimlessly, only allowed to serve or clear away. The wait was correspondingly long – and even when our glasses were long empty, no one thought to ask if we wanted something else to drink. Our child's meal arrived 20 minutes before the adults', and our plates arrived one by one with an even longer delay. Nothing is more uncomfortable than when one person at a table is already finished while another is just getting started. The playground area was also a disappointment: there was a charge, although this wasn't clearly communicated anywhere – neither on the website nor on Facebook. We came specifically for that. Food? Mediocre. The pasta and pizza were okay, the meat was actually good – but when the wrong side dishes arrive (four sad potato slices for €5 instead of fries!) and the "mixed salad" consists only of green salad, without the fennel or cucumbers as advertised, you eventually lose patience. The ambiance is nice, yes. But a beautiful wooden house alone doesn't make a good restaurant. Anyone who relies on its view instead of organization, service, and honesty won't have satisfied customers in the long run. By the way, we then had to wait another 30 minutes for the bill – a worthy end to a frustrating evening. Conclusion: Nice restaurant, unfortunately with a lot of show and little substance. Three stars – only because the meat was really good.

02/05/2026: We returned from Rome for the second time today for lunch. The fish was very fresh, the risotto was delicious, and the sea bream fillet with capers and olives was exquisite. Friendly staff. The owner, Gianni, even gave us a jar of their own olives. We'll definitely be back.

31/05/2026: Phenomenal atmosphere and food. My family questioned the first 3 minutes down and up the dirt road, past some olive groves and a few barking dogs. Eventually made our way to the agriturismo. The views were breathtaking. The staff so friendly. The food so delicious, the perfect Italian dinner. Breads with olive oil. Olives. Pasta. Beans. Sausage. Lamb. Wine. Dolce. Highly recommend going.

30/05/2026: We had an incredibly delicious meal. It was an adventurous drive to the location, but absolutely worth it. Although we hardly understand a word of Italian, the hostess proudly began telling us the history of the house. The terrace, with its flowers and view of the olive trees, is beautiful. Highly recommended; not to be missed for anyone driving towards Vieste.

09/01/2026: The atmosphere is super clean, the owners are incredibly friendly and welcome customers with kindness and professionalism. And the pizza, what can I say? Soft and light dough, just the right toppings, and you can even choose a version not listed on the menu. Must try radicchio, gorgonzola, speck, and buffalo mozzarella. EXCELLENT ☺️ The pizzeria also offers a round pizza option, with reasonable prices. Well done, and thank you always ❤️

20/03/2026: Great restaurant that's open even in the off-season. Beautiful view directly overlooking the bay, especially at sunset. Food is served from 6:30 pm, including wood-fired pizza. So it's perfect for people like us who don't want to eat at 8 pm. They also offer takeaway pizza, which is some of the best, by the way! 3 minutes by bike from the campsite.

22/09/2025: Tourists should avoid this place; there are much nicer cafes nearby. The cashier looked like he needed to poop or like a family member had died. If he's the owner of this cafe, it's a waste of time and nothing will change. If he's just an employee, the owner should offer him an internship. Service 0, food good.

29/09/2025: A lovely, typical Vieste restaurant with an outdoor terrace....The cuisine is simple, but delicious. Compliments to all the staff for their politeness, kindness, and professionalism. We ate wonderfully. I recommend the mixed bruschetta; tomatoes, olive oil, and bread were fantastic. The orecchiette with turnips were mouth-watering. Excellent value for money. Thank you for everything.

09/06/2026: Nice but where did they give us the umbrella spot? The sand wasn't yet as fine as in the rest of the beach.

08/06/2026: Extremely slow staff; they were supposedly out of bread at 3 pm to make bruschetta. I ordered fried sardines with chips, but French fries arrived, and then they were out of sardines too. Strange beach bar.

01/06/2026: A truly fantastic experience! Excellent dishes and delicious, fresh fish. Kudos to the chefs, who are brilliant, as well as all the waiting staff: kind, attentive, and professional. The location is also beautiful, with tables overlooking the sea that make the atmosphere even more special. We'll definitely be back!

24/05/2026: My partner and I stopped for lunch. Our order included a first course for him, two second courses (one for me and one for him), and a side of vegetables to accompany my fish. When ordering, I asked the waiter, in my ignorance, the difference between sea bream and sea bass (I meant flavor), and he started by saying they were two fish (really? I could have figured it out that far), then went on to tell me about the differences in the environments they lived in and the things they ate. My ideas were definitely clearer then. XD Anyway, he gets the first course, and I get the side of grilled vegetables (6 pieces total, 3 zucchini and 3 eggplants). So what should I serve with my second course?! Okay... but let's move on... The waiter comes to clear the table and asks me if the sea bream had arrived. He comes back a little later, saying that it would take twice as long to cook properly because it was so big... but... in the end, this sea bream arrives (which I cleaned myself). The waiter asks my companion if he also has anything... amidst the general confusion, after a while, the other main course arrives (a sweet and sour fish fillet... good, but two forkfuls of fish...) ... so everyone practically ate alone, since the restaurant wasn't even full :( Maybe improving the overall organization between the kitchen and the dining room wouldn't be a bad thing, because the food is still good.
