25/06/2025: We ate the pizza, good but not exceptional. Excellent ingredients but we like the Neapolitan type. The place has a very refined design as well as the service.

01/07/2025: We were probably unlucky because we waited over an hour to be served. There was nothing extraordinary in our order and not that many people in the trattoria. On top of that, the rib-eye steak my partner ordered was inedible because it was not tender at all. Very disappointed.

01/07/2025: This is my favorite restaurant in Monopoli, every dish we have had here has been just fantastic. We had their variety appetizer which is 5 different small appetizers, and we were just blown away. I can't eat salmon in America. Its just too fishy. But their Salmon tartar was amazing, light and delicious. I don't like pretentious food, and this was just the opposite of that. Beautifully and brilliantly prepared and absolutely delicious. Get a Reservation! We were lucky that we got a table our first time because we showed up right as they opened and got their only available table. We reserved every other time and had no problems getting one.

05/07/2025: Last minute arranged lunch and found a real gem! One of our favorite meals while in Puglia. Local wines. Open kitchen. Excellent options from the first bite through to the final sip of wine. Truffles. Rabbit. Iberico pork. Fish. Velvety pasta. Scampi.

04/07/2025: After having tried a variety of every Michelin starred and highly recommended restaurants in Puglia, we finally had an incredible meal at Goode. Compliments to the service (Gabriele) and chef. By far, the best restaurant that we have tried in Puglia. Highly recommend the local style salad, the rabbit truffle pasta and the pork. Do not sleep on it!

22/06/2025: Service with a smile? With a scowl more like. Pizzas were very good, Tiramisu was also good. But the waitress could do with trying a little harder... Rolling her eyes at customers, abrupt manners. Not a very good impression at all.

09/06/2025: Extremely slow service. It took them an hour to serve us 2 pizzas and a beer. Pizza was ok. Nothing special.

03/06/2025: Really great! Very fresh ingredients. We ordered the mussels au gratin, seafood salad, linguine with mussels and clams and mixed fried food. All delicious! Generous portions and rich in ingredients and seasoning. Very kind and very capable owner. We will definitely be back.

12/07/2025: We had a lovely family meal here on our last night in Puglia, we wished we’d have found it earlier as we would have come again! The food was the best we’d had in Puglia, local dishes elevated to the next level, fine dining in a welcoming and warm atmosphere. The chef and staff were excellent, with great wine and food recommendations along with superb service. Would highly recommend.

03/07/2025: It is one of the best restaurants we’ve been to in Italy. The food and service were simply fantastic. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a restaurant that truly cares about everything – from you as a guest, to the quality of the ingredients they use, and finally to the impeccable taste and service.

18/06/2025: We stayed at the Hotel Il Porto in Matinata for several days – the property is beautiful and the food is absolutely top-notch, truly of a high standard. A big compliment to the kitchen for that. Unfortunately, our stay today on the last evening was massively marred by the behavior of the receptionist. The lady was extremely unfriendly, rude, and unpleasant, even making derogatory remarks about us in Italian – apparently assuming we wouldn't understand. For a hotel in this price range, that's a complete impertinence and simply unacceptable. We didn't feel comfortable at dinner, which is a shame, as we were actually looking forward to a pleasant end to our stay. This kind of treatment of guests should not occur – especially not in a hotel that prides itself on quality and hospitality. We stayed at Hotel Il Porto in Matinata for several days – the property is beautiful and the food is absolutely top-notch, truly high quality. A big compliment to the kitchen for that. Unfortunately, our stay was severely overshadowed on the last evening by the behavior of the receptionist. The lady was extremely rude, snappy, and unfriendly, and even made derogatory remarks about us in Italian – apparently assuming we wouldn’t understand. For a hotel in this price range, this is a disgraceful and completely unacceptable attitude. We no longer felt comfortable during dinner, which is a real shame, as we had been looking forward to a nice ending to our stay. Such treatment of guests should not happen – especially not in a place that claims to stand for quality and hospitality.

25/05/2025: The thing that makes me the saddest about leaving Puglia is leaving this place behind. I have traveled worldwide, and this has become one of my favorite places ever. It’s just perfect, literally. The food is life-changing. We stayed in Lecce for 4 days and came here for breakfast 3 times. We tried almost everything they have (pasticciotto alla crema, pasticciotto al pistacchio, rustico, panzerotto, fruttone). The only thing we didn’t like much was the bigné al pistacchio. All the rest was utterly mind-blowing. Also, if you’re looking for the best pasticciotto in town, look no more: it’s here (and I’ve tried a lot). All of this with super fair prices (they even round down the bill if you don’t have the exact change in cash). The first day we hadn’t taken the pasticciotto, and the guy brought one to our table to try it, without making us pay for it, and said, “I just want you to verify that it’s the best in town”. It was indeed (and he kept up his word and didn’t add it to the bill, which was a super nice gesture). The staff is the best, too. Everyone working here is so friendly and efficient that it’s a pleasure to see them work and chat with. They will explain to you what every single item has and how it’s made with all the patience and passion in the world. They are incredible people for real. If you visit Lecce, you MUST come to this place. You would miss out on an incredible local experience if you don't.

11/05/2025: The various types of pasticciotti are excellent although my favorite remains the classic one but the other pastas are also delicious. Fabulous rustic, absolutely worth trying

24/04/2025: We stopped to eat for lunch without a reservation before visiting the Sacra di San Michele. The restaurant is located a few steps from it and is the perfect place to eat with taste at a fair price. The very kind waiter even prepared a boiled vegetable for our 9 month old baby upon request. I highly recommend the appetizers (both cheese and cured meats), the pasta with the house sauce and the steak. The house red wine is also very good. We couldn't ask for anything better! We will be back for sure!! ☺️

26/06/2025: Great experience! The sausage sandwich was really tasty: quality ingredients and well-balanced flavors. The bread, although not crunchy, was still fresh and accompanied the filling well. The real stars, however, were the black pork bombette with lemon: tender, juicy, with a citrus note that makes them unique and irresistible. A delight that alone is worth the stop! Quick and courteous service, simple but genuine atmosphere. Highly recommended for those looking for authentic flavors of the Apulian tradition. 🍋🐖🔥
