15/01/2025: Very nice place, excellent food and the waitress who served us was very kind and professional. I give one star, despite myself, for what I imagine is the owner. When it was time to pay, the gentleman asked us if we wanted a single receipt and at "our" house the single receipt means a single bill, after a couple of seconds of back and forth he tells us "I don't care, just pay ” all pissed off We were very sorry as the lunch was spent in a super pleasant way but this farewell could have been saved. In the hope that he will learn education and the value of hospitality. Greetings from Turin, where hospitality is a must.

20/07/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance during a trip to the lake. Even though I hadn't booked and the restaurant was full, they quickly created a spot for us on the veranda at the restaurant entrance. The staff was extremely kind, friendly, and fast. The food was excellent, made with the freshest ingredients. Highly recommended!

21/06/2025: I'll start by saying that the view was breathtaking, we had lunch on the terrace, a little hot under the awnings but the food was really delicious, the appetizers, first courses, cheeses and desserts were excellent. They accept dogs and they are served a bowl of fresh water upon arrival. Very friendly, we will definitely return.

Good dishes in general, some more successful than others such as the pasta with Neapolitan ragù and the guancia, both excellent. Courteous and efficient service. 27/04/2025: già solo il posto vale la pena ..uno spettacolo della natura in una giornata di sole sulla diga sovrastante il rifugio . Poi se ti accomodi nel rifugio non puoi provare le specialità ossolane preparate con cura dal personale cortese ed efficiente. meglio prenotare durante i week end. Atmosfera familiare e soprattutto polenta selvaggina paste gnocchi e dolci della casa in menuù tipico ....vino della casa di buona fattura. unica nota distorta .... il semifreddo al genepy troppo gelato ... magari servirlo a temperatura più idonea

09/03/2025: Arrivati per caso durante una passeggiata a Riale, da cui si arriva a piedi, siamo stati piacevolmente colpiti dalla bontà dei vari piatti: salumi tipici, tortelli con polenta e bettelmatt, gnocchi all'ossolana, tagliolini fatti in casa al pomodoro e al ragù di cervo. Personale cortese, prezzi contenuti. Il giorno dopo siamo tornati è l'impressione si è confermata ottima. Ci siamo anche portati a casa un vasetto della loro composta di cipolle buonissima! Consigliato!

10/06/2025: The staff was very nice. Perfect location, great view from the room… Room was clean and comfortable. I went to their restaurant for dinner and it was a good experience. Breakfast was even better, they have a big variety of food which they serve directly to your table (no buffet) - which was a new and nice experience to me! Unfortunately I only stayed one night and solo, but would love to go back for a longer period with someone else.

30/06/2025: It’s been 3 summers I’m going to Lido Baveno, great infrastructure, pet friendly, the place is very well managed and the lake maggiore is very clean and nice for a swim, I super recommend it!

13/07/2025: We had lunch. The staff were friendly, all young. The cuisine was home-style, with excellent cured meats and cheeses, tagliatelle with mushrooms, and the mushrooms were frozen, but delicious. Good value for money.

27/06/2025: O Sole Mio in Ghiffa has become our absolute favorite restaurant during our vacation. The service is always warm, attentive, and incredibly friendly – ​​you immediately feel welcome. Furthermore, the prices are fair, and the portions are more than ample. The food was delicious every time! We were particularly impressed by the pizza – a big compliment to the pizza chef, Carlo, who truly knows his craft. The dough was perfect, the toppings fresh and flavorful – it couldn't be better. Our son absolutely loved the spaghetti Bolognese and ordered it every time we visited – a sure sign that it's truly delicious. Many thanks to the entire team at O ​​Sole Mio for the lovely evenings and the great food. We'll definitely be back!

25/06/2025: This restaurant is a true insider tip! They serve a genuine Margherita pizza (only real mozzarella, no other cheese) for €6.00, cooked in a charcoal-fired stone oven. The homemade ravioli are every bit as good. The hosts are very friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

09/07/2025: Worst Ceasar sallad i have ever had. It was very small and the dressing was sub par. It was not disgusting, but not good. Seems like a place just for tourists to grab something quick close to the water.
