07/06/2026: Friendly and warm welcome and service. Good food, a bit of a wait but well worth it. Good cuisine

28/05/2026: We stumbled upon this trattoria quite by chance during our road trip. We received a very warm welcome, our two dogs were also welcome, we were able to choose our own meal, and we were served incredibly delicious gnocchi ragu. For dessert, the best tiramisu ever! It was divine, and the hosts were simply wonderful, even with the slight language barrier 😊. Highly recommended!

13/04/2026: The price-performance ratio is unacceptable here. It starts with the cover charge of €4 (!) for half a glass of sparkling wine and a bread roll. We ordered two T-bone steaks, both of which were served almost raw without any prior consultation. We sent them both back and received them again cooked medium. At 10 p.m., they simply turned on the heating and opened the door. Several things don't justify these very high prices. We certainly won't be coming back.

12/04/2026: The hotel is in a beautiful location, even with a small wooded area you can walk into. However, the railings on the bunk beds are poorly secured, as are the ladders, making it easy to injure yourself. In one room, the shower door doesn't close properly. Most of the electrical outlets are behind the beds. The staff is very friendly, speaks good English, and it's easy to communicate. Unfortunately, there was no butter or cheese for breakfast, and the bread was a bit dry.

09/03/2026: Highly recommended: excellent cuisine and a warm, family atmosphere. We visited this restaurant today for lunch with friends, and the experience was a great one from start to finish. The dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients, and you can taste the care taken in every course: from appetizers to desserts, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The portions are generous, and the value for money is more than satisfactory, which will definitely make us want to return! Well done! Keep up the good work.

02/05/2026: A quaint mountain hut on the summit of Mottarone. Friendly, cheerful staff. I recommend the tasting menu for €25 per person, which includes polenta, stew, donkey bites, braised beef, tripe, chicken cacciatore, sausages, and a variety of cheeses, along with water and wine. The food is very good, the portions are generous, and the price is very reasonable. Highly recommended.

03/06/2026: From Domodossola to Rome and back. A friendly tavern with a slightly nerdy feel. The sign is Bloch's famous painting of a mid-19th-century Roman tavern, with the two Ciociaria women—the married one with the big scarf and the spinster flirting with you—the husband with the scarf looking pissed off, and the cat staring at you even more viciously. The prices of the inviting and varied pinsas are in Roman numerals, and it's fair to ask if they're euros or sesterces. The last page of the menu shows the route to the restroom, and I have to say that the "treasure map" confused me a bit, as I was expecting who knows what winding paths to take when the designated place is right next to the pinsettaro counter. Otherwise, the food is good, the drinks are cold, and the service is friendly.

21/05/2026: We arrived a little later, but were still able to enjoy a very good meal at the restaurant. The location is fantastic – right on the lake – and the staff is very friendly.

13/05/2026: Excellent hotel on the shores of Lake Maggiore. Beautiful room with a lake view and a large, modern bathroom. Simple but decent meals. Friendly staff. I highly recommend it.

05/11/2025: True hospitality in a small hotel with a big heart. Just 2 km from Stresa, it has parking and a private beach, excellently soundproofed rooms, and a breakfast buffet with homemade pastries, cured meats and cheeses, and freshly cooked eggs. The staff are friendly and professional, both in their welcome, room cleaning, and breakfast service. Congratulations, we'll be back!

09/10/2025: Large room, large bathroom, and large balcony. Clean. Good breakfast buffet. A bit noisy on weekdays, right on the street. Parking is available across the street. Staff and manager are friendly and accommodating. They always try to accommodate. Approximately 2 km to Stresa, not recommended for walking. No continuous sidewalk. Part of the way is on the street.

31/05/2026: What an amazing experience, we came from quite far to try the food and check the location and we were not disappointed! It was a fantastic experience, from the beginning to the end, with the food of course being the cornerstone of it all. The dishes were tasteful, imaginative and so well constructed. Plus the veranda on the lake shore topped the whole experience off. Thank you so much to Chef Agostino for the experience.

02/05/2026: Excellent experience, dinner for four this evening at Al Sciucc di Stropino. 3 first courses, 3 second courses, 3 desserts, 1/2 liter of wine, two bottles of water, and 2 coffees, about €90: excellent value, excellent quality food. It's hard to find better at this price, especially since you can tell the dishes are prepared with great care and attention. The first courses, like gnocchi or ravioli, for example, are so delicious that I think they're handmade. I also appreciate that the menu is limited to a few dishes, not as extensive as in some restaurants: this allows them to focus on quality and offer dishes made to perfection, and this is evident in everything they serve. Even the desserts (tiramisu and apple pie) are homemade, not mass-produced, and at a price (€4.50) that's rare to find in restaurants these days (desserts typically start at €6 and up). I'll be back soon, a top choice if you want to eat properly without spending a lot!

19/04/2026: Beautiful Alpine-style hotel. We stayed two nights with half board. The double room had a very comfortable bed, a small balcony overlooking the courtyard, and a small bathroom without a bidet. In addition to the dining room, there is a bar and a reading and games room. Sofas, armchairs, an elevator, and ski racks. The owner is extremely kind and friendly, and demonstrates a great passion for her work. The staff is friendly, polite, helpful, and courteous. They are very attentive to their guests. Compliments to the chef for the dinner and breakfast, which feature quality products. We really appreciated the lack of a coffee machine; cappuccino was served for breakfast. Finally, a hotel that prepares everything at the bar. Parking is available, and pets are welcome. The location is good, close to the ski lifts and a ten-minute walk from the center. We had a great time and will return.

09/04/2026: We spent a few days at the Hotel Signal. The food was excellent, the breakfast buffet offered a wide selection, and the service was impeccable. The owner and her entire staff will always be remembered for their warm welcome, making us feel at home. Thank you for everything.
