10/11/2025: Very good cozy restaurant, the food was amazing and very delicious, people are very friendly,, service is great as well, little pricey

09/11/2025: Hadn’t booked a table but they did fit us in. Busy when we arrived which made getting drinks and ordering a little slow. Drank some wonderful local red wine, food was really very social, my risotto was outstanding and we would certainly return again.

At this point, with the discussion of the café de Paris with cream, the arrogance of the "boo" (perhaps the head waiter compared to his very kind and helpful colleagues) began to bring and present to me the various types of meat they serve, and telling me that they have a refrigerator for maturing (but if the piece is only one, it stays alone) without thinking instead of offering me a new, valid alternative) fillet, sliced ​​entrecote, etc. I had been wanting to eat at that place for a long time, in the future I really think I will opt for the competitors in the country where I found quality meat, tender and with happy staff........

14/10/2025: Avoid this restaurant at all costs! Totally unprofessional! We found ourselves standing in front of closed doors this afternoon, even though Google said the restaurant was open. There's no indication on the website that the restaurant is closed today. Can't be reached by phone either!

14/10/2025: I've been to the Grotto St. Anna a few times over the past few years, but each time I felt less hospitable and less welcomed as a guest. The sign on the gate in German stating that only drinks are served with food isn't exactly a welcome – it could certainly be addressed differently. And today, the absolute low point. As always, we walked to the grotto and unfortunately found ourselves in front of a locked gate. Even though Google and the website said it should be open from 12 p.m., we waited in vain for 40 minutes in front of the locked door before heading back. No "closed" sign, no voicemail, no information... and we weren't the only ones; they probably didn't need it.

26/06/2025: When you arrive in front of the restaurant, there is already a lovely atmosphere with a terrace and its fairy lights. We ate in the veranda, which was very pleasant because it was airy. The service was impeccable and the waiter went to great lengths to translate the different menu options for us, all of which were very tempting. We finally opted for a delicious starter and two equally good pizzas. There was a great atmosphere in this restaurant, we could hear singing in the kitchen and the service was always attentive and very kind. This is an address that we will keep in our notebook because it is with great pleasure that we will return there on a future visit to Omegna. Thank you for this pleasant evening spent with you

31/10/2025: We stopped for lunch on the way to Locarno. This restaurant is highly recommended for anyone stopping in Santa Maria. I had a freshly cooked fillet steak on a stone heated in a wood-fired oven, with a side of polenta and porcini mushrooms. Everything was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly!

09/08/2025: A beautiful mountain refuge, easily reached from the town of Malesco via an uphill path through the woods. The polenta with cheeses is excellent; I wasn't entirely convinced by the polenta with mixed meat sauces, but the house tarts are excellent. Good and fair prices.

30/07/2025: That evening, the restaurant was very crowded, and the staff seemed overwhelmed: all the waiters were rushing around without even greeting customers. Even though we had a reservation for 8:30 PM, our table wasn't ready when we arrived. We sat on the terrace. We had to wait on the terrace for about 40 minutes before someone came to take our order, and another 40 minutes for our pizzas. Coffee was offered as a courtesy, but honestly, the overall experience was disappointing. That's not how it should be.

18/10/2025: The restaurant has the typical atmosphere of a trattoria, and you can immediately sense that it's popular with locals, which is always a good sign. The staff is friendly, attentive, and very helpful. The ingredients used appear to be of good quality, although I personally wasn't particularly impressed with the dishes I ordered (beef tartare and trout). A negative note was the house red wine, which I found to be rather poor quality. A definite plus was the tiramisu: truly spectacular, one of the best I've ever had! Overall, a decent experience, although I found the value a bit high.

16/10/2025: Very good, reasonably priced food. We were staying in a vacation home a few meters away and ate here several times. I highly recommend everything. I had to deduct one point from the overall rating because the soft drinks were served in cans, which I'm not used to in restaurants; it had a bit of a kebab shop feel to it. 😐 If you can handle that, you've hit the jackpot in this region. 👍🏻
