16/07/2025: So here they have serious problems: drastic service, the waiter is too SEVERE with the CHILDREN, too much, let's say for example, even standing on the stairs in the corner to grab an ICE CREAM on the spot, the waiter tells the chaperone to immediately move the children to let passersby even though they WERE in the corner.
A friend of mine: everything was too expensive for an ice cream, we spent between three and five euros and a TINY cup of coffee for two euros.
Another friend of mine: they closed the umbrella in our faces, suspecting that we were children, and we asked why... but they told us they also offered other services.
The main problem is the waiter, so don't trust them and behave if you don't want someone who bothers you.
Okay, we're children, but we're also people like everyone else.

27/05/2025: We were in the area for 3 nights and came across this little gem in the park, during our walk, close to the camper parking area. We unfortunately missed time for food but had late afternoon, early evening drinks for two evenings. Warm friendly welcome, hospitable hosts. Thankyou. Sorry we missed you on our last day as we were late back from Orta.

15/03/2025: Nice evening in the company of Wally Gators and Juda's Kiss. Before the concert, a good pizza and draft beer. Venue with a nice stage, designed for live music. Excellent acoustics, good sound engineer. Informal place for a nice evening in the company of friends and good strictly live music. Very easy to get to, good parking.
14/02/2025: We went for dinner on a Friday night to hear the band MalaMente. Welcoming environment, friendly and professional staff. I ate the ganassino with mashed potatoes and it was very good, the pizza is also good and digestible. Nice music and fun. Advised

21/04/2025: Siamo venuti all'Alpe Crampiolo per una gita Pasquale fuori città, e ci siamo ritrovati in un piccolo paradiso. L'accoglienza di Fiore all'agriturismo è stata fantastica, ci siamo sentiti subito a casa. Il cibo è praticamente tutto di loro produzione o fatto con prodotti locali, e sia la cena che la colazione sono state veramente ottime e soddisfacenti. In più la cornice in cui è inserita questa frazione della Val d'Ossola è veramente mozzafiato!
Non vediamo l'ora di riuscire a tornarci!
20/03/2025: Posto favoloso e accogliente il personale molto gentile e disponibile...e i piatti....mamma mia un esplosione di sapori pazzeschi tutto ma proprio tutto ottimo dai gnocchetti con fonduta dei loro formaggi alla polenta con tri di carne......lo stracotto si scioglieva in bocca....ah il prosciutto crudo affumicato spettacolare e per finire i dolci ..... veramente buoni..... BRAVISSIMI .... torneremo di sicuro

22/06/2025: Had lunch for work, good value for money, good shrimp and courgette risotto and good trout. Fixed menu 12 euros with water and coffee, friendly and fast service.
The room is a bit warm especially near the pizza oven, perhaps a bit more air conditioning would be ideal.
Huge and convenient parking in the square. Recommended if you are in the area.

02/06/2025: The menu is quite extensive and they do pizza. The service is excellent. Unfortunately, the pizza is not. I think the pizza chef is learning. Ours was quite toasty and dry. It seemed to be the same at other tables too. The first courses, on the other hand, are plentiful and at tavern prices. They have a local clientele and I think they are a point of reference in the area.

14/07/2025: Lago delle Rose Restaurant in Ornavasso is a place surrounded by greenery, ideal for a relaxing day with family or friends. The location is beautiful, with a pond, plenty of outdoor space, a children's play area, and even a few farm animals. Perfect if you're looking for a peaceful and authentic atmosphere.
22/06/2025: Restaurant, where you eat well, spend the right amount, splendid location, with a large garden, a small lake and lots of vegetation, a relaxing place where after eating you have all the time to recover from the culinary marathon

14/06/2025: We went to the Genziana refuge on a hot day in June. House platter, Tajarin with goose ragù, sliced beef and pears cooked in wine with cinnamon ice cream....all excellent.
Precise and fast service.
The refuge is not very visible from the main road but just a few steps away for a pleasant lunch break.
