11/02/2025: This should be a 3 star review but I don’t like wrecking business ratings based on one experience. Came here for lunch. Main course was ok. Desert was very good. However, I had ordered a main&desert menu lunch combo + a 2nd main dish separately and was charged for each of the combo items individually. Which was 7€ more. I pointed this absurdity out and they insisted on billing for it all the same. That’s just not reasonable.

06/04/2025: Lunch with friends. Everything was excellent, especially the abundant and fresh mixed fried food. I highly recommend.

12/04/2025: Antica trattoria con Calma, discovered thanks to the excellent reviews and many sites that recommend it for the authenticity and goodness of the products. Apart from the service which varied based on who came to the table, the food and environment were truly exceptional and overall very highly recommended. Piedmontese mixed fried food and bagnacauda (original) are truly unsurpassed. Very well-kept location which, thanks to its position, is not at all touristy. Careful and high-quality choice of wines as well as the menu. Truly recommended for work dinners, business dinners, anniversaries and why not even between friends.

18/03/2025: A pleasant discovery. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere, you eat by candlelight, with pleasant blues music in the background. Very kind waiters. Typical Piedmontese menu, with excellent products. I think I ate the best rabbit tuna ever. Even the bread and breadsticks were delicious (an aspect often overlooked in restaurants). I will definitely go back.

10/03/2025: La Gaia Scienza is a place that feels like home. I arrived in Turin last year and fell in love with this small place from times gone by, where it almost seems as if time has stopped. It welcomes you like a nest in which you can be pampered by the affability of the owners, projecting you towards a past time in which the flavors and aromas are those of the classic Piedmontese tradition. I would define it as a little gem not to be missed for anyone who wants to spend an evening in lightness, harmony and fill their belly with delicacies. Furthermore, it is located a stone's throw from the Mole and Piazza Vittorio, in the historic and picturesque district of Vanchiglia (one of the most beautiful in Turin). A must, in addition to the menu full of choices, is their hazelnut liqueur, by far one of the best bitters I've tasted in my life!

07/03/2025: deludente vedere un posto così rinomato in cui la guardia di sicurezza che c’era l’1 marzo di sera ha visto dei ragazzi farsi una canna davanti al locale e lui si è messo a ridere con loro e li ha lasciati passare come se non fosse successo nulla. Inoltre è stato ordinato un cocktail vodka con redbull e sapeva solo di alcol tant’è che nonostante io regga molto mi girava la testa. I drink sono stati fatti senza impegno, in quanto un’altro drink invece era stato fatto bene, mentre quello con vodka redbull era terribile. Barista assolutamente bocciato

25/03/2025: In a place as Turin so full of restaurants, this one is a 'must visit' one. In the kitchen a generous attitude with ingredients, maybe looking towards the south of Italy even by interpreting local delicacies as the tartare on a hazelnut muffin and sweet onions. A very intelligent wine list for all pockets always offering real gems from Piemonte. Very recommended.

I would define it a little high but I understand the reasons... what can I say! Until next time! 16/03/2025: We went for lunch on Sunday for the first time without knowing the place. We ate very well! Piedmontese and seasonal cuisine, homemade desserts, excellent. Furthermore, the kindness and helpfulness of both the staff and the owner pleasantly impressed us. A place that we really liked with its simplicity and courtesy. We will definitely be back!
