02/05/2026: Nice location, tavern-style. Good food, nothing too elaborate, and reasonable prices. Unfortunately, there were some major flaws with the service: the catch of the day ran out by 7:00 PM on Saturday night, and the staff was inattentive in several situations during our dinner. Overall, a disappointing experience compared to expectations.

30/04/2026: Excellent restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of the lakeside. The food is well-served, with dishes that I must say are delicious. Excellent cheesecake! I'm only giving the atmosphere 3 stars because there are too many cobwebs here and there, which suggests it's not very clean. Room for improvement.

28/03/2026: I had a truly positive experience at Osteria San Giulio. I lived in the area and had been there before, but every time I tried to call to make a reservation, it was always full. This time I finally managed to make it, and as always, it was a real pleasure. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful in securing a reservation right from the phone. At the table, I rediscovered the authenticity of the dishes from days gone by and the courtesy of the staff, always attentive and thoughtful. The food was truly excellent, and we enjoyed every course.

This osteria is a prime example of how authentic, high-quality cuisine can be prepared without the shortcuts of more prestigious establishments, which rely on ready-made dishes full of preservatives, where the kitchen is merely an ornament and is used only to reheat artificial dishes. I would encourage people to pay more attention to what they eat, to follow trends less, and to place more importance on substance and quality. The dishes at this osteria, in terms of care, innovation, and technique, are second to none; in fact, they could teach many who have forgotten what it means to cook. Thank you. Dog-friendly. I will definitely return as soon as I can. You feel at ease, at home, even alone, there is warmth and pleasure in enjoying a dish that is pleasing to the eye and sublime to the palate.

01/04/2026: A small but welcoming place, with extremely kind and helpful staff. The menu is limited, but what's there is excellent, from the very flavorful champagne risotto to the tender and delicious Iberian pork cheek, and not to mention the truly exquisite and tender grilled octopus. I recommend this place to anyone looking for something special.

09/05/2026: Warm and inviting atmosphere. Lots of good wines and beers. Informal, simple, and punctual service. The food is excellent. The charcuterie and cheese platter stands out for its variety and quality. I think the tripe I ate was the best I've ever had. The sliced ​​steak was perfect. The desserts were delicious. A truly lovely place... discovered by chance... but I definitely won't be returning.

06/05/2026: A bar with an interesting name, in a tiny town, with a huge selection of wines, Belgian and other beers, a frequently changing menu, a great atmosphere, and very helpful staff. We ate/drank: - Agnolotti – basically ravioli with a beef filling. The ravioli themselves are delicious, the weakest element of this dish is the gravy that accompanies it. - Filetti di trota salmonata – a very tasty fish with a multitude of flavors and well-chosen herbs. - Tiramisu – I was in Italy for eight days this time, and I only ate this dessert here. I don't regret a single bite! :) - Belgian lager and dragon beer - I recommend trying them, they're delicious. - Appetizer board - perfect with beer. - Wine - delicious. The staff was very helpful, speaking English, answering all questions, and suggesting what's on the menu for the day. I highly recommend it - I consider this place a real find: a small town, a charming atmosphere, delicious food and drinks, and helpful staff. We'll definitely be back! Thank you for yesterday's last evening on Italian soil. ;)

06/05/2026: This restaurant is located directly on the main square of Orta San Giulio, with a beautiful, well-maintained outdoor area that stands out from many other restaurants for its attention to detail. The interior is small but remarkably welcoming and renovated. The dishes we chose were all excellent, beautifully plated, and the ingredients were of exceptional quality. The service is excellent, always attentive and friendly, and we had the pleasure of speaking with the young couple who run the restaurant impeccably about their focus on ingredients from small local producers, which was reflected in the dishes! Excellent value for money, highly recommended.

10/01/2026: My partner and I had dinner last night for his birthday. The restaurant was intimate, very well-kept, and beautiful. The service was impeccable: welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The presentation of the dishes made us savor the exquisite dishes even more. Excellent ingredients and superb pairings.

01/05/2026: We went as a couple on May 1st. It wasn't easy to find a seat given the large crowd, except at this wine shop where the wait was minimal. The service was very helpful and courteous, although the selection is limited. The cold cuts and cheese platter for two was a bit sparse, but still good. Plus, a half-liter bottle of water and a glass of Arneis, for a total of €35... well, that's about it. Rating 6.5 Next time, we'll try somewhere else.

26/04/2026: Our favorite place. Excellent wine selection, great platter, and excellent bruschetta. Our daughter loves the bagna caoda. The staff is lovely, and Andrea is fantastic as always. I think we've loved this place for about twenty years, located in a wonderful location, Orta San Giulio.
