A convivial osteria, located in a very ancient and charming village among the rice fields.
The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming, the food is tasty, and the portions are generous.
Kudos to the host for his friendliness and excellent service.

Delicious dishes in a welcoming and clean restaurant immersed in the timeless beauty of the ancient Badia. We've already thought about all the future opportunities to return and share them with others. PS: A special mention for the wine, but only the host would understand that!

It's an A+ experience, don't go there, I'll find a seat for you 🤣🤣🤣 (I'm kidding, you definitely have to go! You can't miss it!)
It was a wonderful and pleasant discovery.
I've always heard great things about it, but I hadn't had the chance to go there until last night for dinner with friends.
The exterior is spartan but picturesque, well-placed without distorting the historical context. At the entrance, there are some armchairs, some Spanish peanuts, and some grappa to taste, which we tried at the end of the meal.
The impression is of a narrow and cramped place, austere and gloomy. There were already 25 of us, but people kept coming in, and it was unclear where everyone was sitting.
Upon entering, contrary to appearances, it appears quite spacious with many tables and various rooms. The entrance reflects the name of the tavern, with the classic counter and register, but everything is well-kept and clean.
The various rooms have plenty of space to move around without too much trouble.
The rooms are well-kept and still have a tavern-and-historic-village theme, truly beautiful. From the windows, you can see all the fields, and at sunset, it's a beautiful, picturesque scene.
Speaking of the food.... wow! It's delicious!
The cold cuts were excellent! There was a soft one that I didn't understand what it was, but it was exceptional. Accompanied by spring onions and beans.
A delicious omelette arrived.
First courses:
The saffron risotto was excellent; if you wanted, you could have added mushrooms, which made it even better.
Then the ravioli, which I think were homemade, were so good we were fighting over them.
Second courses:
The meat arrived. The tagliata was cooked perfectly and very juicy on the cast iron plate, while the braised meat was so tender it could be cut with a breadstick. The sauce was spectacular!
Dessert:
Tris di soldi. Mint panna cotta, crème brulée, and fruit-filled ice cream. Very good, although I wasn't too thrilled with the mint cream.
Drinks:
Very good white and red wine (I only had a little white, and I think it was a Nebbiolo).
Water is always a must.
Nebbiolo grappa aged in oak barrels, which was much needed after all that meal.
Nice, cold limoncello.
Coffee.
The service was impeccable, fast, and precise. They never caused any inconvenience.
Two small flaws to point out are the straw chairs with slightly sunken seats, which are a bit uncomfortable for those with circulation problems like me. The road to get there, which is all cobblestone and outside the village is unpaved, so those with strollers, wheelchairs, or otherwise have mobility issues should walk right up to the restaurant and down a few steps inside.
It was a delightful discovery, nestled in a historic setting. An experience worth repeating. Compliments to all the staff and the kitchen! Excellent!

Wonderful evening! Everything was perfect, the owner was incredibly nice, the staff was extremely polite and attentive. As for the food, what can I say? Everything was excellent, the paniscia was excellent, and the Milanese in carpione (carpione Milanese), which reminded me, after the first bite, of the one my mother and grandmother used to make! The location was beautiful, I love these places! I can sum up my experience with one word: "pampered." We'll definitely be back. Bravo, and keep up the good work!

A place where you can taste typical traditional dishes, in a rural area away from the hustle and bustle, excellent for getting away from the hustle and bustle

A very charming place, hidden away and therefore even more appreciated. Excellent food, well-cooked and made with passion. As we exited, the street was lit up by...fireflies!!!

The food is traditional Piedmontese. The menu is simple and very tasty. Generous portions. An appetizer for two, two main courses, and a bottle of wine, for €70. It's still a guaranteed success. Perhaps, compared to the past, the lighting is a little cold, contrasting with the rustic atmosphere.
