Very good ice cream and very kind staff

Renato Bar, a must-visit for anyone visiting the Mondello square, is the bar I've frequented since I was a child with my father. We had breakfast here, with a croissant, coffee, granita, and Sicilian brioche. Everything was really good. We paid around 10 euros.

The ice cream is delicious. The servers are warm and understanding. I highly recommend this place in the heart of a city like Mondello. 🙌🏼

The gelato is excellent, truly some of the best you'll find in Italy. The coffee is also fantastic. The gentleman (Nicolo) who served us was very friendly and welcoming. If you come to Mondello, be sure to stop by here.

After a few days in Mondello and trying different cafés, Bar Renato became our favorite place for breakfast. It has a truly authentic Italian feel, and we found ourselves coming back almost every morning. The coffee was consistently excellent, and we enjoyed everything we tried—from the pastries and snacks to the sfogliatelle and cannoli. The calzones deserve a special mention: they were surprisingly light, fresh, and very tasty. There are tables both inside and outside, making it a great place to relax at any time of the morning. We also noticed plenty of locals stopping by for their daily coffee, which is always a good sign. The owners and staff were genuinely kind, friendly, and welcoming, making us feel comfortable every time we visited. If you’re staying in Mondello and looking for an authentic Italian breakfast, this is a place you shouldn’t miss.

A pleasant, family-friendly atmosphere, with kind and welcoming staff. We had breakfast with a coffee granita with cream and a donut with coffee. It was all served with two glasses of water. Everything was delicious and super fresh. We spent €9.50.
