03/10/2025: The veal with tuna sauce was truly excellent!! Then I tried the agnolotti, which were also very good. The service was kind and attentive. I'd definitely visit again in the warmer months to enjoy the outdoor seating.

The first courses are a triumph: the tagliolini with fresh porcini mushrooms are simply divine, while the ravioli with three roasts was an experience beyond words. The desserts also deserve a special mention: the creamy three-chocolate Turinese dessert and the berry tart were a true indulgence that rounded off our meal beautifully. The wine selection is exceptional, with a special focus on Monferrato wines. In short, "Da Maria" is more than just a restaurant; it's a journey through the authentic flavors of Monferrato. 05/09/2025: Found this place while walking through Bologne. Fantastic food, though definitely a red meat heavy menu. That said, there were good options for those that don’t eat red meat. Like many restaurants in Bologna its outdoor patio is covered be “porticoes”. It’s a beautiful setting. That said, there are probably slightly more atmospheric porticoes in the city. Anywhere else I’d give it 5 stars for atmosphere. Service was great. We shared all dishes and they kindly split them before serving, which was very thoughtful. Would happily return.

14/09/2025: Never again. Elegant place, but the table setting is immediately disconcerting. No tablecloth, just a piece of plastic like in the most banal pizzeria. The menu has a QR code, nice and quick, so I scan it and order the first course. No, it's not there, it can happen. I change my order, but this one isn't there either, good, that is, bad, I put down my phone and ask for a list of the available dishes. Tagliatelle with mushrooms, given the time of year, very good. For the second course, I order the roast beef, cold and tasteless, with an equally tasteless sauce and grilled vegetables. I eat the vegetables but leave the meat. For dessert, a Pavlova, berries and Chantilly cream on a meringue base. The meringue is so hard I can't cut it. I leave it. Total €55 without coffee and with a bottle of Grignolino for four.

13/10/2025: Everything was excellent...from the customer service to the Excellent food. All the fish...exquisite ravioli...topped with a very delicate sauce and a special fried fish. Excellent house dessert: classic tiramisu and also pistachio. I recommend everyone to go. Because it's truly worth it.

10/10/2025: A quick lunch in Gavi after my wife and I visited the beautiful fort this morning. Having been unable to find a table at the trattoria we'd planned, a passerby recommended this place just outside the historic center. Since the fixed-price menu (15 euros) didn't have anything that appealed to us, we had lunch à la carte, ordering gnocchi with pesto and ravioli with ragu, washed them down with a bottle of beer. Large portions, good pesto, and the ravioli weren't bad either. Service was quick and courteous. The restroom, however, was in a rather run-down condition, with a door that wouldn't close. The final bill was 31 euros, with a cover charge of 1.50, as per the attached receipt.
