02/11/2025: Excellent lunch at this trattoria in Borgomanero. The restaurant is informal, well-maintained, modern, welcoming, and stylishly furnished. Service is prompt, and the staff is very professional, friendly, and helpful. The dishes are excellent and carefully crafted, and the menu is varied, offering dishes ranging from fish and meat to traditional local favorites. The wine cellar is excellent. The restaurant is very quiet, a pleasant place to relax and chat with other diners. Prices are average and consistent with the menu. I recommend booking as there are limited seating. Highly recommended if you're passing through Borgomanero.

23/09/2025: Biancaneve restaurant is a pleasant choice if you're looking for quality and attention to both food and service. Giulia manages and supervises everything; nothing escapes her notice. Excellent service from the kitchen and dining room staff as well. I highly recommend it and suggest booking in advance, especially on weekends.

18/09/2025: A small place with great quality. Excellent quality ingredients, fair prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. If I may say so, the experience changes greatly depending on who's serving. When the young man (who's been working there for a while) is there, everything runs perfectly: he's kind, attentive, and knows how to manage, and he takes care of the customer with care. I've been there when he wasn't there, and unfortunately the difference is noticeable: cocktails not available, few ingredients, only one type of bread... and the girls are very absent. With him, however, the place is at its best. Highly recommended!

They even gave us each a bottle of wine, which was a much-appreciated touch. We'll definitely be back to enjoy their wonderful pizza, and word of mouth will certainly spread.

21/10/2025: Truly forgettable service. I asked for salt, a very kind waitress brought it to me, and the waiter came to take it away while I was still eating. Did he think I was finished? Or maybe they only had one and he needed it more than I did! Anyway, all he had to do was ask! Furthermore, we ordered four different dishes, and the dishes arrived in random order: everyone ate separately. They couldn't coordinate the service for a single table of four. It's a shame; the organization and management of the service completely ruined the experience. I've never seen such a chaotic organization. I should point out that I love animals; I have two dogs, but being surrounded by three tables with dogs barking at each other nonstop was truly annoying! We won't be back; it wasn't a positive experience! We've had much better meals elsewhere!

30/09/2025: The exterior doesn't look very promising, but the rooms are huge, quite comfortable, and clean. The price is high compared to other hotels. I would avoid the included breakfast. At 8:15, with the room practically empty, the buffet was empty. There was no bread, and as for the cold cuts and cheese, there was only one slice left. Two cakes were okay, and three brioches were dry. I'm sorry, but this doesn't seem like good service to me.

12/10/2025: Booked for the location and the panoramic view of Monferrato from the upper floor, as well as for the food. Unfortunately, this time I didn't have a great experience... I left with a headache due to a dog that barked throughout the entire meal (without anyone, waiters or the dog's owners, bothering to resolve the issue to avoid disturbing other diners). Perhaps, like me, guests had chosen that room for the quiet or special occasion. They were kind in offering a welcome aperitif with a local salami upon arrival. The appetizers were excellent (peppers with bagna cauda and baked goat's cheese with honeyed figs). I was disappointed with the first course... the tagliatelle dish, which I thought was more like tagliolini, and overcooked. They kindly changed my dish. I chose agnolotti, asking for them al dente... it's a shame they arrived overcooked, with so little sauce that they almost seemed reheated. So I abandoned the idea of ​​continuing with the first course... I asked for a medium-cooked sliced ​​steak... unfortunately, it arrived overcooked... I asked if I wanted dessert... but it wasn't worth continuing with that dog who kept screaming... If you don't introduce rules for animals out of respect for other diners who might have come there for a quiet lunch or for a special occasion... You risk, like me, leaving with a headache and stomachache... despite the high price of the meal.

11/10/2025: We're in the middle of white truffle season. The quality of the white truffle they use is shocking. They don't grate it in front of customers. The tagliolini with truffle are inedible, with a moldy aftertaste. The pasta is precooked and sticky. I'm truly speechless. The restaurant is very nice, but the food ruins everything. We spent almost €400 without dessert. Total disappointment.

24/08/2025: Rustic and informal atmosphere, welcoming and friendly staff. Very interesting and varied meat menu, with the option to sample different types at a good price. Good wine list, Francesca was very helpful in recommending our bottle. The only downside, given the high quality of the meat, is the baked potato chips, which are actually the frozen ones from a bag. Otherwise, highly recommended!

01/10/2025: The food and wine were both excellent. We had the carne crudo, peppers with anchovy sauce, pasta with porcini mushrooms, and veal with porcini mushrooms. Everything was delicious and the view was great.

28/09/2025: Today's menu features porcini mushrooms. Tagliolini with porcini mushrooms and fried porcini mushrooms. Excellent. Wide selection of wines. As usual, a splendid view of the hills from the terrace!

07/10/2025: As an "expat" from Campania here in Alba, it's normal for me to have fairly high standards when it comes to pizza. Yet I've never been dissatisfied at La Duchessa. Their pizza is excellent, with excellent dough and excellent cooking. They're generous with the toppings, and they have a varied menu, from classic pizzas to more unusual ones. The staff works incredibly hard (especially during peak season) but always maintains a remarkable friendliness, despite the volume of work. The atmosphere is a bit noisy when the place is full, both inside and out, but nothing serious. The prices are very fair considering we're in the north; you can't expect pizza to be the same as in Naples or Salerno (and even there, prices skyrocket in some places). All in all, an excellent place with a family atmosphere; I'll gladly return again.
