Beautiful location overlooking the hills. The place is perhaps a little noisy, but the service is good and fast. We had the tasting menu and enjoyed it. Prices are average.

The muggy air of the city center dissipates as soon as you take the road to Sagliano Micca. At Ristorante Biancaneve, the setting is from another era: a few outdoor tables right next to the entrance, where the cool evening air caresses your skin while the buzz of the dining room provides the soundtrack to an incredibly lively and busy Wednesday. Passo Avanti: The scampi ravioli with shrimp, zucchini, and saffron. A perfect dish, generously seasoned and with a balance of flavors that alone is worth the detour. The glass of house red also deserves a special mention: no frills, but unbeatable value. Mezzo Passo Avanti: The tagliata with arugula and parmesan, tender and cooked with pinpoint precision. Also worthy of mention are the excellent raw materials used for the meat tartare, and the freshness of the octopus salad. Half a Step Back: The pairing of tartare with pickled vegetables was a slightly overpowering contrast that overshadowed the delicacy of the meat. Furthermore, the outdoor tables, located right in the entrance area, sacrifice a bit of intimacy: perfect for a friendly chat, less so for a marriage proposal. Step Back: The timing. The service, despite being led by exceptionally kind and helpful staff, had some timing issues: long waits between main courses, paradoxically interrupted by the premature request for dessert just before the main course was served. Even the accompanying spritz arrived only after an explicit request. Logistics & Parking: Parking doesn't require miracles: there are plenty of free, convenient spaces in the immediate vicinity. Accessibility: Approved for accessibility; a ramp at the entrance allows for easy access to the steps, making it accessible to strollers and wheelchairs. Ideal target: Excellent for large groups of friends or families. It works well for couples, as long as you're looking for a convivial and relaxed evening rather than a candlelit atmosphere. Weather strategy: If you're looking for a break from the summer heat, the 4-5 outdoor tables (seating 2 or 4) are a great choice for enjoying the area's natural coolness. Worth the trip? You can stop by, but don't expect a Swiss timetable. The cuisine knows its stuff, and the fresh air clears your thoughts.

People come here for Chef Marco's excellent cuisine, for the creamed codfish rated excellent by those whose grandmother was Venetian, and also for the best fried fish in the Biella area. Very friendly staff, clean and tidy but a bit dated, frankly not suitable for those looking for an elegant venue.

L'arrugginita

07/08/2026: A pleasant experience. Typical Biella atmosphere, warm, rustic. Friendly yet professional. The cuisine is easy to understand and full of intense flavors. Highly recommended. Oh, I forgot: prices from days gone by. Not surprisingly. Always packed.
28/07/2026: Dinner at the recommendation of some colleagues. A warm and welcoming restaurant with brick vaults and rustic, homey furnishings. Attentive but frenetic service. The menu was short but extensive, but I didn't particularly enjoy the dishes I chose. For starters, a trio of veal with tuna sauce, Russian salad, and tomino cheese. The tuna sauce was well-cooked and tender, but the sauce was a bit too runny and a touch acidic on the palate. The Russian salad had a mayonnaise that wasn't particularly to my taste; the tomino cheese was garnished with giardiniera, which wasn't exactly suitable for my taste given its acidity. For the first course, the plin (a type of pasta), which I must say was delicious in flavor and cooking. The maccagno cheese fondue was a bit too slow. For dessert, a fig tart... served in very small squares, and instead of figs, a compote... I would have preferred to know what the dessert was in advance so I could have chosen another.
