The staff were very kind and welcoming, the food was delicious, the lunch menu costing €14 was fair, and the food was plentiful. I recommend ordering the house dish, La Lampada, as usual.
27/09/2025: When I heard the waiter call "Angelo" toward the kitchen, I knew it was going to be good. Of course, there's a bit of stereotyping involved, but the place was simply amazing. The pizza came fresh out of the oven two minutes after ordering, prices were like they were in the good old days, and the service was fantastic and friendly.

03/12/2025: We were at the table, but they ignored us for 50 minutes. They asked the next table what they were ordering, but not us. Eventually, we left. This is definitely not how you treat customers.

13/11/2025: The brioches were bland and tasteless, a complete disrespect for Sicilian pastry making. The experience was made worse by the staff, who were rude and arrogant. Trust those who are trustworthy: if you're looking for authenticity and courtesy, this isn't the place. Not recommended.

13/11/2025: The food was good and plentiful. The only negative was that the desserts should be covered with a cover to keep them from being left out in the open on the table. Still, it was a positive experience.

That said, some people in this café should practice smiling in front of a mirror before coming to work…

Staff very friendly and service is quick.
23/11/2025: Besides the food being excellent, the portions are very generous. The prices are a little above average, but it's worth a try because they make dishes you won't find elsewhere, like pizzoccheri alla birra or birramisu. The menu also offers a wide selection, both for food and drinks; they have a lot of specialty beers and beer-based spritzes/gins.
The service, however, needs some work; it was a bit confusing.

16/12/2025: An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The cuisine was absolutely delicious, with an impressive selection of vegetarian options. We particularly enjoyed the artichoke risotto and the pappardelle with porcini mushrooms, both of which were exquisitely prepared. The staff was courteous, professional, and attentive, contributing greatly to the overall experience. I would most certainly return on my next visit to Varese.

The selection of flavors is also excellent; in addition to the classics, they offer a rotating selection of very interesting specialty flavors. Also worth trying are the granita and milkshake.
The place is extremely clean and well-maintained. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and able to offer excellent advice.
The prices are fair. I recommend it.
