14/05/2025: Abbiamo scelto questa location per il nostro matrimonio che si terrà a luglio. Ci tenevo però a fare una prima recensione perché l’accoglienza che abbiamo avuto qui, non mi era mai capitata. Chi ci segue è Cristian, uno dei proprietari del posto. Di una gentilezza pazzesca, un ragazzo molto disponibile e paziente soprattutto. Ci ha fatto sentire subito a casa. Abbiamo fatto la prova menu’..e posso soltanto dire che se quello è lo standard del giorno del matrimonio sono davvero in una botte di ferro. Eccezionale davvero tutto. E poi..un ringraziamento in anticipo anche per Besa (non so come si scrive, scusate), una ragazza formidabile che ci ha fatto cambiare idea sul colore del matrimonio, azzeccando esattamente quello che era il nostro colore , ma che noi non volevamo osare. E’ riuscita a rendere esattamente l’allestimento come ci piaceva a noi. Non posso che dare 5 stelle a queste persone, tutte strameritate. Io penso che di location belle in Italia ne abbiamo tantissime..ma chi le rende uniche sono le persone che ci troviamo dentro. Grazie per intanto al fantastico Cristian e Besa. Ci vediamo a luglio..

19/05/2025: More than positive experience. Friendly staff. Good wine list. Nine-star crudités with exotic seafood. Top-notch fried food. Top-notch mixed grill. I recommend trying the schiacciata/focaccia with rice and soy flour.👍

11/05/2025: waiting times too long, decent food, we booked the table at 1.15pm, from the moment of ordering the two appetizers of raw fish and simple bresaola with rocket and parmesan arrived after 30/40 minutes, at the beginning of the order we had explicitly said that, since there were 5 of us, only 3 would take the first and 2 would take the second and to consequently send everything together so that the people who had taken the second did not look at us while we ate and they didn't, well one of the first courses arrived immediately with the starter, another first course always arrived after 30/40 minutes, it was almost 3 and there were three more dishes missing only to then discover that they wouldn't send the second courses until they sent the first courses, contrary to what we had requested, the two second courses arrived but a first course was always missing which arrived after another half hour, it took us practically 3 hours to eat three simple raw starters and 5 courses, when the bill came, having complained over and over again about the delay in the dishes and their obvious errors in the organisation, they only gave us a €3 discount... without words

10/05/2025: Unfortunately the experience was not the best. The place was rather cold and unwelcoming, and even though the stove was turned on upon request, the attitude of the staff did not contribute to making us feel welcome (also because my request was denigrated). The service was unprofessional and not attentive to customer comfort. Even the pizza didn't convince: not very fragrant dough and average ingredients. Too bad, we expected more.

13/04/2025: To change the area from the usual Varese and surrounding areas, we tried moving to Travedona. Evening for 4, with pizza, wine, beer and mixed fried starters and final desserts. The order taking was handled divinely and with kindness by the waiter due to our discomfort due to lactose and shrimp intolerance. Attentive and kind towards customers, the staff is friendly and kind. The place is located in the square, facing the church, and for an evening with friends it manages to create a nice atmosphere with soft lights and tranquility in the place. The fried appetizer was excellent, not greasy and very digestible. Good pizza, for personal taste, I found the dough slightly heavy and not very crunchy, but the ingredients on top were simple and excellent (calamarata). In fact I finished it straight away hehehe. There are different types of pizza to choose from. Evening finished with dessert, babbà, meringue and strawberries with cream ice cream. Three hours in company spent well and cheerfully. Total around 25 each.

31/05/2025: We have been going to this pizzeria for years, always good and impeccable but paying 1€ less for a baby pizza and finding it like this we really didn't expect. This review is a tip for those who want to buy it, if you want a baby pizza this is what you will get (6€ of pizza). Size, those of a small pizza bought at a baker.

03/05/2025: A very nice moment in this small establishment run by an unconditional rock fan. On the walls are his concert tickets and good country music in the background. On the plate only good things, fresh and homemade. Very warm welcome. A little musical and gourmet break!

15/05/2025: We stopped several times at this place right on the lake, both for an aperitif and for a hamburger with our girls. In addition to the food, we appreciated the kindness and attention towards the girls, which is not always a given. Very warm and welcoming environment with a beautiful veranda overlooking the lake.

19/04/2025: Ottimo locale a Laveno Mombello, siamo stati in famiglia per un brunch, ottima la qualità dei cibi e dei cocktail , personale solare ed accogliente. Consigliatissimo

13/04/2025: Innanzitutto dell'osteria c'è poco e nulla. Se la chiamiamo Steakhouse la qualifichiamo molto meglio. Locale ampio, dotato di due sale. Assolutamente da evitare quella al piano inferiore che per qualche strana ragione amplifica i rumori ad un livello imbarazzante e rende impossibile il dialogo tra i commensali. Il servizio è lento e un pò approssimativo ma se riuscite a passare sopra a tutto questo trovate una braceria con un ampia scelta e ottima qualità della carne. In caso di dubbi, lasciatevi consigliare, abbiamo trovato personale molto preparato che non ci ha delusi e ha centrato proprio quello che volevamo. Sicuramente non a buon mercato )se la vogliamo chiamare Osteria) ma assolutamente con prezzi adeguati ed un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Un pizzico di cordialità in più non guasterebbe, ma se amate la carne, consigliatissimo!

23/05/2025: We celebrated my birthday, there were 6 of us, appetizers of cold cuts and cheeses, all very good, then mixed meats cooked very well, and polenta. Mountain hut-like environment, a large lawn that is good for wedding photos, large parking lot, the only problem is the very bumpy and narrow uphill road, and many large potholes unfortunately, with an off-road vehicle it is better.

18/05/2025: Very nice location, well-kept and welcoming. Polite staff and well-prepared dishes! The location is in a quiet area, isolated and not immediately easily accessible, but it can be reached both on foot and by car.

07/05/2025: A true pearl for those with celiac disease, but not only. At the Locanda Nord Est I found a special welcome and a cuisine that makes everyone feel included, without compromising on taste. The fresh gluten-free pasta, homemade by hand, is simply spectacular: it's hard to believe it's gluten-free, it's so good. The risottos are also excellent, creamy and well-balanced in flavour, perfect for those who love traditional cuisine done properly. A place that takes care of every detail, where you can return with pleasure - and total serenity - even for us celiacs.

11/05/2025: The organization is terrible. We had to wait an hour to receive the first course and those who ordered the second course as a first course had to wait another hour to be able to eat while they were forced to watch the others eat. I recommend checking your bill CAREFULLY!!!! Because we ordered 8 starters. They brought us 3 plates of cold cuts, 2 plates of fried gnocchi and some peppers, olives, pickled cucumbers... then we added 3 more portions of rented gnocchi. In the end they charged us on the bill for 9 appetizers plus 4 portions of fried gnocchi. We paid for everything, but it was a rip off!!! We will not return again, even though the food is acceptable.
