Finally, a lido on Lake Monate that lives up to the hype. We stumbled upon it by chance, and now it's a regular Sunday stop. Comfortable beach, perfect water, and always a light breeze that makes you feel good. Excellent food, very fresh and well-cooked fish, impeccable service. A truly wonderful setting, I'd say. Highly recommended by those who've been there. Well done!

We had a wonderful day at La Playa. It’s a lovely place to relax by the beautiful Lake Monate. The atmosphere was peaceful, the views were stunning, and the sunbeds with umbrellas made it easy to spend the whole day there. We enjoyed a delicious lunch with fresh, flavorful food. The service was good and everything was well organized. To make the day even more special, we rented a SUP and a canoe to explore the crystal-clear lake. We had originally planned to rent two SUP boards, but one turned out to be damaged. The staff handled it without any hassle and happily exchanged it for a canoe, which worked out perfectly. If you’re looking for a relaxing beach club with great food, beautiful surroundings, and fun activities on the water, La Playa is worth a visit.

Very nice location, youthful parties, and average food. I've always felt comfortable and at ease, except a few times with the usual brunette waitress who, like this afternoon, June 13, is very rude to customers. A friend of mine asked for a smoothie, and her arrogant response was, "I don't have one, but I wouldn't have made it for you because we don't have time." I understand the noise and the crowds... but the response could be a little more elegant. Aside from that, the place is very nice, and I recommend it.

5-star food 5-star service and atmosphere. Very clean and well-kept beach. The staff is extremely kind. The owner, Maurizio, and Federica are wonderful people. I absolutely recommend it.

Fantastically fantastic place. We had lunch overlooking the lake. Beautiful scenery, relaxing and pleasant place. Delicious food and a wide selection of everything. The staff was very kind, friendly, and professional. Beautiful place.

I stayed at La Playa last weekend. Besides the wonderful welcome—from all the staff, without exception—I have to say I had a truly wonderful time. The way the little beach is organized made me feel like I was in a little corner of paradise. I was able to relax, eat a delicious lunch, and even enjoy a drink with a group of friends. I'll definitely be back!

06/07/2026: The rock gym has a remarkable number of sport climbing routes (I've seen them from 5 to 7B+). Therefore, I think it's a great option for enthusiasts. Sport climbing is too difficult for my abilities, but there's also an easy via ferrata just a few meters above the lake, offering great views. The via ferrata is technically undemanding and takes less than half an hour to complete. It can be done multiple times, as the walk from the start to the finish is less than five minutes. The gym and via ferrata complex can be accessed by turning left immediately after the first tunnel exiting Maccagno, where there are four or five parking spaces, or in less than ten minutes from the beach parking lot, following the lakeside promenade and the small harbours. The view is also remarkable for those simply accompanying climbers.
12/05/2026: A great place to climb the rock with proper gear. You can also climb the mountain and do many loops of varying lengths.
