18/05/2025: Nice restaurant! We took Focaccia and Carpaccio. Both were fantastic and tasty. Also the service was much better than in many other places. There is a digital menu in various languages which is very convenient. Waitress advices us very good on dishes and helped to choose what we want. We enjoyed the evening in this restaurant. Highly recommend it!

18/05/2025: Visited in May 2025. 5 stars overall. 4 star food, 5 star service, 4 star atmosphere. Friendly welcome at the door and the good atmosphere continued throughout the meal. The front of the restaurant is modern and a bit flashy, the rest of it is not, they clearly put the money into what people see from the street as opposed to what they may see from inside. The antipasti were the best I've ever had, no question. Absolutely superb prosciutto, salami and focaccia. Followed up the starter with ossobuco which was quite underwhelming. It wasn't bad, but was definitely a big step down from the antipasti in terms of quality. The wine was good, went for a Pavese wine and wasn't disappointed. The dessert was very well presented and was nice, nothing special in terms of taste. Excellent service, very friendly staff who had excellent English and were ready to help with recommendations or questions we had. Definitely the best restaurant staff I had in Pavia. A big meal for 6 was ~€450 (which included wine, water and coffee). I felt it was worth it. The same meal was ~€300 in another excellent restaurant in Pavia, that's a huge difference, the antipasti and focaccia at al VITA steal the show. Go for the service, antipasti and the focaccia, plenty of other restaurants for anything else. I'd certainly go again and will remember the quality of the antipasti as the best I've ever had.

01/05/2025: I spent two Easters for lunch and I enjoyed it. Adequate portions and very friendly service. Even the timing between courses was right in my opinion. Beautiful location with a view of the hills. I want to go back to have lunch outside.

22/05/2025: Siamo stati già alcune volte e devo riconoscere che la qualità è la gentilezza sono una costante. Cibi a base di pesce (davvero buono il piatto di pesce crudo abbondante e delizioso servito con sali diversi da accompagnare alle varie specie di pesce) ricercati, porzioni giuste e prezzi accessibili ed in linea con la qualità. Ottima cantina dei vini che permette scelte a vari livelli. Da provare.

13/05/2025: This restaurant truly impressed us – very authentic! For one meal, we genuinely felt like Italians. The staff was extremely friendly and took the time to explain the menu in Italian, which added to the charm. Every dish was absolutely delicious, and the restaurant’s interior is both original and creatively designed. Highly recommended!

01/05/2025: From the first moment you enter you appreciate the very particular and well-kept place. Personally I appreciate a different restaurant than usual where there isn't much choice but dishes that make your mouth water and taste like "home". Friendly and helpful owners and staff. Last but not least, a price that certainly ends the meal on a high note.

18/05/2025: Sono una grande allergica da tutta la vita ma non mi é mai capitata una cosa del genere, in tutti i posti in cui sono stata. Prendo un piatto che apparentemente non contiene pomodoro, quando arriva peró mi sembra che ci sia. Chiedo al primo ragazzo, mi dice che andrà in cucina ma aspetto 5 minuti e ancora niente (nel frattempo il piatto si fredda). Chiedo allora ad una ragazza che mi dice che effettivamente c’é. Io faccio notare che gli allergeni sarebbero da dichiarare sul menú (per legge) ma mi viene risposto che sono io a dover dichiarare l’allergia. Se ne va stizzita e arriva quello che penso fosse il titolare per iniziare una filippica estremamente maleducata sul fatto che sono io a dover chiedere e non loro a dover dichiarare. Ripeto, io per ristoranti ci vado, mai avuto un problema del genere, mai mandato indietro un piatto perché di solito gli allergeni si DICHIARANO. Ma anche se fosse, va bene potevo chiedere, ma nulla da diritto a rispondere con una tale maleducazione (anche quando il mio ragazzo ha provato a difendermi). Se non ci fosse stato il nonno del mio ragazzo, aspetto che lui finisse, uscivo, e prendevo da asporto al cinese a 200 metri (che consiglio caldamente). Avrei anche fatto bene visto che quando mi é stato riportato il piatto (senza allergene) la pasta era quasi cruda (fatto di fretta), buttata lí come veniva (completamente diverso dalla presentazione precedente) e sempre condita da maleducazione. Il mio ragazzo abita vicino ed é capitato di prendere una pizza da asporto, sicuramente non ricapiterá piú.

31/03/2025: Trattoria molto carina, accogliente, appena fuori da Pavia lungo l’argine del Ticino. Servizio rapido, cortese e ed efficiente. Antipasto molto buono, vino in bottiglia meno che ordinario, caffè tiepido, imbevibile. Lumache ottime: purtroppo, non si capisce per quale motivo, le infilano in un cestino di pasta fillo che si disfa (mi è stato servito spappolato): meglio sarebbe usare la polenta, è meno impegnativa da impiattare e pure più buona. La nefasta influenza dei cooking show si avverte anche nei dolci: sbrisolona con zabaione, discreta ma zabaione pochissimo, spalmato sul piatto a baffo. Perché non usare una ciotolina, così basta per tutta la porzione? Un bel posto che rischia di venire rovinato dalla paura di non essere abbastanza moderni, o almeno così mi è parso. Il conto abbastanza elevato in rapporto al cibo, decisamente alla buona. Peccato.

13/04/2025: A small restaurant with excellent dishes. The tasting starter with local products is highly recommended. All the pasta we tried was delicious. The chesscake for dessert was the icing on the cake, simply spectacular.
