The cuts of meat are just the right size, almost generous. Homemade desserts and fruit spirits are simple but truly delicious. Organized and top-notch service. Fair prices. 05/05/2026: We stopped on the way back from Bologna and ate very well, excellent dishes and fair prices. The only flaw was that we couldn't bring our dog with us, otherwise everything was perfect.

03/05/2026: Nice place, good food, excellent table service (very kind and professional waitress). It's a shame the owner, when she charged us two extra items, added them to the bill. When the mistake was pointed out to her, she was annoyed and resentful, throwing a €1 coin on the counter and leaving (the incorrect amount was actually €10, but we preferred to overlook it). It's a shame; it could have been a pleasant experience, but it was ruined by this unprofessional attitude, unbecoming of a hospitality professional.

The service was very slow, and we had to change the wine several times because it had an unpleasant smell and taste. All things considered, the price is definitely too high for the quality of the experience.

It stays true to tradition, but as you can see in the image, it's also ready to follow the seasons, with pumpkins coming and asparagus arriving.

09/04/2026: Remembering a delightful lunch spent years ago with friends, I decided to return to this Pavia osteria that had left such fond memories. Unfortunately, this second experience at Osteria della Malora turned out to be very different from the previous one, and decidedly disappointing. Two of us showed up for lunch on a Tuesday, without a reservation. Despite several free tables, the welcome was immediately rather cold. The young man at the register had to spend a long time with a woman next to him trying to figure out where to seat us, and she seemed visibly annoyed by our arrival. After a few moments of hesitation, we were seated and brought menus. Our order was taken by the same woman, in an extremely aloof and unfriendly manner. While waiting, we noticed that the service was mainly managed by two women. Curiously, the same person who had been cold and curt with us was much more cheerful and affable with other, presumably regular, customers. The dishes arrive without any presentation or words: they're simply placed on the table, without even a hint about what's inside. A detail that may seem minor, but it clearly defines the level of service. The only ones who said anything were us, thanking them, without receiving the slightest response. As for the food, however, there's nothing to complain about: the quality remains very good, and that's probably the only real reason I decided to return. After lunch, we decide to order dessert, but despite the empty plates remaining on the table for several minutes, no one comes to clear the table or ask if we'd like anything else. I'm forced to call one of the waitresses, who takes our order with the same listless attitude as the one who had served us up until that point. Dessert is also served without a word. At that point, more than annoyed, I simply finish my meal, pay, and leave the restaurant, certain I won't return a third time. The overall feeling was that we were treated differently than other customers, as if our presence—two young men—were less welcome or less "worthy of attention." This is what we felt throughout the lunch. It's a shame, because the food deserves much better. Such cold and inattentive service ended up completely ruining the experience. Would I recommend the place for the food alone? I'd say no, given that there are many other osterias in Pavia where the food is just as good (if not better) and where customers are welcomed with a completely different spirit.

The food was excellent, from appetizers to dessert. The entire staff was extremely attentive and kind. The passion for good, healthy, and tasty cuisine shone through in every single course. The ingredients were incredibly fresh. The meat and fish were excellently prepared and presented in a unique and refined way. The atmosphere was quiet and quiet, allowing us to converse peacefully and relaxed. The attention to our guests was truly outstanding, and the service was impeccable. 23/12/2025: We went for a pre-Christmas family lunch, with a last-minute reservation. We had a wonderful time and the food was delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, and the professionalism is evident. The Pavese soup is a must-try. One of the family members really appreciated the high-quality vegan dishes. We'll be back.

The food is delicious and high-quality: we appreciated the carefully selected ingredients, as well as the wonderful homemade sauces. The menu is extensive, enriched with fantasy-inspired names and traditional dishes, with a fantastic twist. Highly recommended also for its convenient location, about 10 minutes from the station and close to the Lungo Ticino.
