It's always open, with plenty of tables available, so even at the busiest times you rarely have to wait too long. The pizzas are good quality, thin, well-cooked, and easy to digest, perfect for both a quick dinner and a more relaxed evening. The service is quick and efficient, without being rushed, and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Another big plus is the location: very conveniently located on the road, ideal for those passing through or on the move who want to stop without any hassle. For us, it's become a regular stop, especially on Sunday evenings, when we want to be sure of a good meal without the stress.

10/01/2026: Nuova Panarea is a guaranteed find in Pavia. It's a simple yet welcoming place. The pizza is excellent, well-cooked and made with quality ingredients, but the restaurant's dishes are also worth a try: generous portions, authentic flavors, and a truly varied menu that's sure to please everyone. Fast and friendly service, perfect for both a lunch break and a relaxed dinner. The quality-price ratio is also excellent, an increasingly rare find. A reliable place, a place you'll gladly return to whenever you want good, uncomplicated food. Highly recommended!

04/01/2026: We were guests at Agriturismo Carlo e Nadia for Christmas lunch. Everything was delicious: starting with a delicious selection of appetizers featuring local ingredients, followed by two first courses, two second courses featuring excellent, well-cooked meats, and finishing with a bang with two desserts (panettone and pandoro with mascarpone and pistachio cream, artisanal cream gelato, and warm zabaglione), coffee and a late-night aperitif, local wines, and a second helping for seconds. Beautiful location, friendly and knowledgeable service, and welcoming owners who paid attention to every detail. By requesting in advance, we were even able to bring our dog. Although guests at other tables arrived more than 40 minutes late (many don't understand this, but this behavior generally significantly hinders service; you just need to be organized and arrive on time), we were served promptly, with the various courses consistently prioritized. We will return and recommend it.

Buscone is all about local, zero-kilometer products, starting with the iconic Salame di Varzi and a full range of house-made cured meats. You'll find a well-crafted à-la-carte menu, but the real highlight is the excellent €40 tasting menu, which includes mixed appetizers, two first courses, one main, and dessert. The dishes feature high-quality ingredients and thoughtful preparations, the standout being the juniper-braised venison with a Pinot Noir reduction, truly sublime. The wine list showcases some of the most interesting wineries from the region, all at very reasonable prices. A charming detail: several products, including their own Salame di Varzi, can be purchased directly on-site. The staff is kind and welcoming, and the final bill is more than fair. 06/01/2026: Today I treated myself to a special lunch break. On my way to work, I stopped for lunch at the Osteria del Campanile. It was a flavorful experience that takes you back to grandmothers' old recipes. I ate maltagliati with beef sauce, an explosion of old-fashioned aromas and flavors. I highly recommend you try it, you won't regret it.

16/01/2026: I had lunch with my wife at this little restaurant in the center of Pavia. Infernot is a small, elegant restaurant/wine bar with an open kitchen, tastefully decorated to create an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. Rossella, the owner, is a delightful person, extremely kind, and able to guide you in choosing dishes and wines. The lunch menu offers a few dishes focused on authenticity and seasonality of the products. We enjoyed a cacio e pepe and a pasta e fagioli (pasta and beans) that were truly superb. The price is reasonable and is absolutely in line with the quality of the products. A 100% positive experience; we'll be back!

31/12/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance during a trip to Pavia and were amazed by the quality of the service and the food. The restaurant is very welcoming, well-decorated, and refined. Without too many frills, but with just the right details that add a touch of elegance. The menu is limited, but perfectly executed, with an interesting selection of vegetarian dishes. We had a handmade cacio e pepe and lemon pasta dish, a pumpkin cream soup, a small portion of parmigiana, and a mock tripe made with egg omelette, tomato sauce, and mint. The service was lovely; the owner, very kind and helpful, stopped to chat with us, making us feel right at home. 100% recommended

06/12/2025: This is truly a fortunate time for me: I'm increasingly encountering restaurants that fully deserve 5 stars! This time, for work, I found myself having lunch in the splendid Oltrepò Pavese, specifically in Rivanazzano Terme. The Oltrepò is a wonderful region in Lombardy, located on the border with Piedmont and Emilia: a crossroads that enriches the local cuisine with delightful influences from all three regions. In a simple, family-friendly atmosphere, I enjoyed flavorful, well-cooked, and carefully presented dishes. Thanks to the kindness of my companions, I sampled several courses, which allows me to review this restaurant with full knowledge of the facts. All the dishes I tried deserve 5 stars, but one in particular, in my humble opinion, deserves 6: the cappuccino appetizer with poached egg, truffle, and mushroom cream. A true symphony of flavors, capable of winning you over from the first bite! All the dishes were excellent, beautifully plated, and complemented by friendly, informal service. The hostess expertly and passionately explained the dishes' characteristics, adding a touch of authenticity to the experience. In short: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
