08/06/2025: I ordered the house pasta. It arrived at our table practically as my friend had finished her plate. The pasta was completely hard, unchewable, and it stuck to my teeth. I asked if they could please fix it, and they brought me the same plate again, with equally inedible pasta, but hotter. I definitely don't recommend this place because of the lack of care they gave us.

17/06/2025: Good artisanal ice cream. There are not nine thousand flavors with nine thousand toppings, but all the flavors are good, genuine, without additives and thickeners. The owner is very friendly and is not stingy with the quantity, he lets you choose what you would like in greater percentage, which is not a given. Our new neighborhood ice cream shop.

01/06/2025: I don't like to give bad reviews to places, but this time I can't help it. The service was inconsistent, biblical times and dishes arrived randomly. Arrived at 12:30, the first dish arrived after 1 hour and lunch finished around 15. The justification was that there were too many people and too many orders to manage by the kitchen that has few burners available. The solution? Take fewer reservations, reduce the dishes on the menu or on days of great affluence impose guided menus. I really don't think I'll return.

03/07/2025: Run by a group of friendly Egyptians. Love them! We go there every time with friends and relatives, never had issues and everyone always left the place satisfied. They have many varieties of pizzas and together with Italian menu they have falafel and essential oriental specialities. They are open also during some holidays when other locations are closed.

This is what I wrote last time and I continue to think that these words are not enough to explain this corner that is a gift to the world. This is the place where I always think of returning. A place that even just for the cuisine of the wonderful Paola deserves to be at the top of the renowned guides and rankings of international catering... the meaning of the 3 stars for example is, in their definition, a place that is worth organizing a trip for... well Macelleria Popolare is and this is said by someone who has been to these wonderful places more than a few times that I will not mention and that are worth the trip. And they are worth it, there is no doubt, but this place is worth just as much. Wake up Michelin & co. .. in Asia give stars to street food places that are worth half... why not here? Here even the "scarpetta" is reinvented and has a touch of new, of magic while still remaining the essence of what it is. But apart from all this, Macelleria Popolare is a place where the word "experience" that is so fashionable becomes reality. A place where you meet people, tell stories, live life, you like some, others less, but this is real life. A place where that wonderful person that is Giuseppe Zen guides you magistrates without guiding you, rather, he walks with you because he stands by your side, shares, tells, listens and drinks with you a glass that has a story in that glass you find and becomes a guest, a friend, he is no longer just a maitre. A place where you could stay all day, there "a la barra" like in the Spanish markets forgetting the time, which in itself is a gift. The place to always return to. Thank you Giuseppe, thank you Paola, thank you for this gift and thank you to the entire incredible family of guys who make Macelleria Popolare the place of the heart. The place, simply.

26/06/2025: I have been to this "place" I would say that the popular thing is the atmosphere, uncomfortable seats, tables from the Unity Festival with prices that are anything but popular and modest portions; sideral waits... more smoke than roast or more position than substance; I won't be returning.

10/07/2025: TRAFILATA Navigli – Fresh, tasty pasta with lovely service. I had the carbonara and was genuinely impressed – the pasta was freshly made, cooked al dente, and the flavors were spot on. It’s simple, honest food done really well – exactly my kind of meal. What made the experience even better was the staff – super friendly, attentive, and warm. You feel welcomed the moment you walk in. I’ll definitely come back here next time I’m in Milan. A great little spot for pasta lovers!

29/04/2025: A nice little pub with many alcohol options and food selections, the pub itself plays nice music and they have the best meal-drink deal if you don’t want to spend too much on a night out, would definitely visit again
