13/07/2024: Siamo stati qui stasera per il mio compleanno: ci ha accolti Matteo: cordiale, simpaticissimo ed accogliente, molto preparato su ciò che hanno da mangiare! Consigliatissimo gnocco fritto e tigelle con taglieri, vino Sangiovese di Rubicone e amaro nocino! Una bellissima serata!

11/08/2024: I ate Chinese food and it was great. Fair price. Whoever was with me had pizza which they judged to be good on average. They also serve Italian dishes which look great from the looks of it.

30/08/2024: We had lunch on the terrace, overlooking the Ticino river, ate very well, fresh and plentiful food, the lady who served us was very kind and helpful, a pleasant surprise, we will be back!

18/11/2023: Da quando il locale si è rinnovato ha introdotto la regola di utilizzare i buoni pasto fino alle 14.30. In altri posti in zona non fanno questi problemi.. toast nella media, insalate con troppa insalata dentro e poco condimento. Ragazzi molto gentili , la ragazza un po’ meno

27/10/2023: Non ci siamo trovati bene: i toast non erano buoni. Mancavano alcuni ingredienti indicati nel menu, nel complesso scarsa qualità, la salsa speciale era glassa di aceto balsamico che copriva ogni sapore

After the second time in which we felt bad after having an aperitif here, I have to think that it is not a coincidence and that perhaps they serve spoiled food. Perhaps an inspection by the competent bodies could be useful…. Furthermore, the person preparing the dishes didn't have the slightest idea of ​​what he was serving and didn't put on the plates what was asked for but something completely different. Furthermore, tables one on top of the other, impossible to get up without moving 10 people from the next table. The waiters come to collect cash as if they were afraid of thieves, perhaps it must have happened in the past, but it is quite unpleasant. It may have been an important bar in the past, now it's just seedy!

03/09/2024: Very pleasant little restaurant, a menu not too extensive but the advantage of good fresh produce, simple wine list. We ate there twice and always good and simple.

28/07/2024: Dear all, I must say that the waiters are decidedly courteous and elegant. However, I would ask a couple of questions about the kitchen staff or the kitchen chef. The dishes seemed to be classics such as vitello tonnato, Milanese risotto etc. Unfortunately, taking the vitello tonnato as an example, we realized that the meat was of low quality and badly cooked, the tuna sauce was tasteless except for the three celery leaves and the pepper. The tuna in the crust tasted only and exclusively like it was fried. The tuna was stringy and the rabiola in the tuna made no sense!!!!!!!! The poor presentation would seem like the decoration of a talentless 5 year old girl. An Italian with good taste would not choose such a restaurant. I don't recommend it to anyone. Think twice before coming to them. Thank you.

28/07/2024: We ordered the 5 course classic menu. We had high expectations of this place because of all the good reviews and very pleased when we were able to make a reservation at 21:45 the same day. However, we already finished our meal after about 1 hour (and this for a 5-course menu with a bottle of wine!). We have never been served our food so quickly after each other. After our tables got cleared we got the next course after 5min max! We did not feel at all that we were allowed to enjoy the evening at our own pace. The food was also not convincing, every bite was very bland, so after a few bites you knew the taste and you actually got a bit tired of it. We were served soft braised beef as a main course, but the fat of the meat wasn’t rendered out at all. We returned the entire last meal because it just wasn’t pleasant to swallow. We ended up paying €200 for an hour of rushed dining.

Nothing too fancy obviously, but an honest proposal with honest prices. A beautiful tavern like those of the past.
