28/03/2026: I stayed at La Cascina last night and I must say it was a truly positive experience. The first thing that struck me upon arrival was the entrance, surrounded by beautiful greenery that immediately conveyed a sense of tranquility. After a long journey, I also greatly appreciated the convenience of the parking: I was able to leave my car right in front of the building without any problems. The rooms were spotless and the bed was truly comfortable, perfect for relaxing and recharging my batteries. The location is also strategic: shopping centers, supermarkets, and fast food outlets are nearby, making everything very convenient. A big plus goes to the host, Marise, for her professionalism, helpfulness, and flexibility. I really appreciated the fact that she allowed me to use the restrooms even after checking out, a gesture that is not at all expected. The value for money is also excellent: for what I paid, it was truly money well invested. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the property as a whole is welcoming, quiet, and elegant. A special thanks also to the cleaning ladies, who are truly meticulous and attentive: you can tell when the job is done with care and a smile. If I were to return to this area, I'd already know where to stay. It was an experience that allowed me to completely relax and recharge. Thanks again for your hospitality! 😃

14/03/2026: A farmhouse surrounded by greenery just outside Mantua. Basic amenities make for a comfortable stay. The room is clean and tidy, and guests can prepare their own breakfast using ingredients available in the shared kitchen (which can also be used for lunch/dinner).

25/12/2025: The food is excellent, but the owner is a bit too know-it-all. He's good, yes, but I think you should never embarrass a customer with pointless discussions about intolerances. Honestly, the last time I ate here, I was disappointed.

As soon as you're seated, small flutes of wine are brought to welcome you, which is appreciated, but they don't take teetotalers into account. The seafood dishes are excellent. Another positive: some dishes are modified based on the availability of fresh, high-quality ingredients—a remarkable touch. The wood-fired pizzas are truly delicious. Vegetarian options are a bit limited, and vegan options are practically nonexistent. The service is pleasant, and the staff are kind and helpful, but not intrusive. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the dishes and the portions, which are always generous. The seafood spaghetti and panciotti are highly recommended!

The room and bathroom were spotless, a good size, and despite being in a busy area, very quiet. The restaurant inside the hotel is also excellent, but it's open to everyone.

09/05/2026: Renovated rooms. Complete with everything you need. Very good breakfast. Cleanliness is excellent. Located just off the highway, Orte exit on the A1. Nothing of interest in the area. The closest town is the historic center of Orte. Prices are average.

The restaurant features simple and elegant furnishings. The à la carte menu features a specialty featuring the "truffle" that is a hallmark of the area. The menu also includes freshwater fish dishes. The quality and freshness of the ingredients guarantees excellent results that enhance the flavors. Completing the offerings is a noteworthy wine list. Attentive and courteous staff. Ample parking. Price/quality ratio: medium to high.

Food: personal taste: it was good but not outstanding, that is, very good things like the tagliatelle and other things that were eaten carelessly, but not inedible, except for the fruit on the cake, which tasted like cheese, but I think that was due to where it had been stored. Service: terrible! I'll speak generally without referring to individual guests: unjustified arrogance. To avoid having to walk too far, guests were asked to pass the plates of those next to them. They were asked who wanted a single course, like at a village festival. And when I personally pointed out a problem, I was treated with condescension, almost as if I was bothering to point out a problem or simply ask for a bottle of water. I'll stop there, because I would have to go into detail about the individual person, and I don't want to. I forgot about the terrible heat, which we suffered because we weren't told that the air conditioning above our table was broken. I have to say, it's a shame, because the evening could have gone much better. I'd say it's time to review the staff.

28/06/2026: We came here for my son's baptism. The food was truly excellent, in fact. I'd like to compliment the kitchen, but the service was terrible! They put us in an area of ​​the room with no air conditioning, and after the waitress serving us, a blonde woman with glasses, kept telling us all evening that all the air conditioning was on, my partner went directly to the owner, who explained that the air conditioning was broken and apologized, but the absurd thing was that at the end of the dinner, before the cake, my father asked for a coffee and was sent to the counter to get it, and they even made him pay for it! ABSURD! If you really want to go out and eat, that's fine, but I'd monitor the wait staff better because I think it's better for them to change jobs.

21/06/2026: The location outside is beautiful with a pool and a nice park... the inside is shoddy, not to mention the cobwebs hanging over your head, small and dirty bathrooms, service let's draw a veil over it, terrible food, unclean fish, inedible, pizza nothing, but the icing on the cake was at the cashier who, in addition to not knowing how to do his job, didn't even discount us 1 cent, in fact he made a round figure, they earned 4 cents each more. We asked if we were offered a bitter as a reward since we complained, the woman didn't even take us into account... as we were leaving I said, but those two really shoddy roses, some people make me absolutely never again!!! In my opinion, it would be better if you first hired competent cleaning staff, I would also add high-level cooks and assistant cooks, given the location is not balanced like this, the whole thing loses value and it's a real shame!! As it's a shame that we will never return.

A pizza, which you can't call that, with a dough so thin it's comparable to Sardinian carasau bread. Not to mention the toppings, which couldn't be more meager. A "pizza" with vegetables, paid eight euros, with two transparent slices of zucchini, two pieces of even thinner and shriveled eggplant, a pinch of raw radicchio, chopped like a salad. I've never eaten anything like it. We couldn't taste anything, just that paltry dough. They're very tight-fisted with portions, even for dishes other than pizza. They're not even honest with the receipt, because my brother had previously ordered home delivery, which he obviously paid for, but it wasn't counted in the total, which other places include for fairness. He ordered something else, still complaining about the small portions. 👎They should understand that a satisfied customer comes back, otherwise they're lost forever. Anyway, the food is good.
