12/11/2025: We waited too long The room temperature was too cold for us.

10/11/2025: We were looking for a restaurant near Mantova Village, and after a quick Google search for local restaurants, the name "Osteria Antichi Sapori" struck a chord. I called, considering the 1:00 PM time slot, and confirmed a table for two. There was ample parking, and we arrived and were seated in a charming little room at the bar, as the restaurant rooms were fully booked. We ate on time: delicious bread, a charcuterie board, excellent fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, a delicious beef fillet with porcini mushrooms (perhaps less than the €30 price tag), and a typical local sbrisolona dessert. The dishes were generous, well-prepared, and of high quality. The staff were friendly. We visited the restaurant, which had a rustic, unique, and very welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

19/08/2025: Very long wait times from ordering to serving. The pizza is very thin, with a peculiar dough (like piadina dough), and the vegetables on the pizza are undercooked. They don't accept reservations.

04/11/2025: Good food, somewhat slow service. The atmosphere is pleasant, with small rooms reminiscent of historic buildings. Unfortunately, one star for the unfortunate handling of the wine. I had requested sparkling wine in a carafe, but the waitress returned saying it was out and offered me a bottle of Prosecco. I accepted, but was served a bottle of Prosecco Millesimato Extra Dry, already opened, without a cap, and completely sweaty. I should point out that I work in the wine industry, specifically in the world of Prosecco, and what I was served did not correspond at all to the product indicated on the label. I was with foreign guests and preferred to avoid controversy, but I believe the bottle had been filled with wine on tap. There are three reasons for my suspicion: • The bottle arrived already opened and without the original cap. • It was excessively sweaty, as happens when you fill a bottle at room temperature with very cold wine. • The taste didn't match an Extra Dry Vintage, but rather resembled a cask wine, similar to a Brut. Tip: If you order a bottle, ask for it to be opened at the table.

23/11/2025: The restaurant has a very large dining room and is packed on Saturday nights. It offers both main courses and pizzas. I only had a first course. The dish was canteen-quality. The food is probably better when there are fewer people.

27/11/2025: Historic restaurant in Acquanegra sul Chiese. I recently went there with friends for a weekday dinner. The food was good: I enjoyed a pan pizza (they also make round pizzas on weekends), tagliatelle with mushrooms, and a tiramisu. Quality ingredients and well-executed dishes. Friendly staff and attentive service.

30/09/2025: Nice place, we ordered pizza. Good-quality ingredients and the right amount. Unfortunately, the dough was rubbery, very difficult to cut, and didn't seem to have risen properly, so we didn't like it at all, which was a shame. The only downside was the pizza chef's attitude when we told him about the dough, which we thought wasn't good. The response he got was that we don't know how to eat pizza. I won't add any further comments.

28/08/2025: Perfect for lunch! Excellent quality ingredients, the fried gnocco was soft and not at all greasy, the cured meats excellent. The two first courses were both delicious and the portions generous. The staff was very kind. I recommend expanding the dessert selection with some homemade cakes because I'm sure they have some great family recipes ;)

12/08/2025: Found by chance during a stop in Sabbioneta. A double helping of tortelli, fried gnocco with cured meats. I reluctantly passed up the gnocco with gorgonzola (the cheese portion looked like an A4 sheet of paper)... I unfortunately didn't have a single spot left. All accompanied by a phenomenal soundtrack. It couldn't have been otherwise, given the Telecaster autographed by none other than Keith Richards. Definitely worth a try!
