18/05/2025: Historic lakefront trattoria with a spectacular view, managed by the current owners for about 40 years. Fixed menu based on expertly cooked lake fish. Excellent riso in cagnone with perch. Absolutely to try, better to book. In some periods of the year also reachable by boat from Como but with few daily trips, better to check dates and times.

24/04/2025: Despite the delay, it was right to talk about the experience I had in this restaurant, a discovery that deserves to be shared. The location, although not directly overlooking the lake, manages to win you over thanks to a refined and welcoming interior design, capable of creating a warm and refined atmosphere, just like the dining room staff, from the waiters to the manager, capable of making the guest feel at ease from the first moment. The visit - although unique so far - left an indelible mark, so much so that a future second time is certain. The dishes stand out for their quality and presentation, but what truly surprised us was the original welcome, capable of striking deeply with its uniqueness and attention. Applause also goes to the sommelier, who was able to accompany the tasting with wine proposals in perfect harmony with the menu, completing a high-quality gastronomic experience.

19/05/2025: Place with a wonderful view where we ate well

17/05/2025: We went here for dinner and here is our review: the location and view are amazing with nice views of the lake, villages and mountains. The service was also very good with many friendly servers around. Now the disappointing parts: We each had an appetizer for more than €20 and both were huge disappointments. Especially, the 1 cm thick quiche with duck meat, probably weighing 100 grams! (€23) The main course was a further disappointment with each costing €37 and €35. The fish of the day was simple and maybe 150 grams of meat with an average taste. The tuna filet was so small that we estimate it at around 100 grams while the taste was nothing special - just fried in the pan and a little salt on top. Finally, because we were still hungry, we shared another ridiculously small desert for €13 Euro at an estimated weight of 50 grams. At this point we felt pretty ripped off and were further shocked by the total bill which included €12 for 2 bottles of water and €12 for “coperto” (just sitting down). We would recommend only going there for drinks and pizza - but be aware that a pizza dinner for 2 people will probably set you back €100!

20/05/2025: We were on an AmaWaterways land tour to Lake Como and our lunch was on our own so we walked a few meters from the Hilton Lake Como to eat a light lunch. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman and told we could sit and enjoy lunch even though they closed in 15 minutes for their mid-afternoon siesta time. Then the owner, Jacob came over to take our order and make recommendations regarding seasonal vegetables. He was so pleasant, made great recommendations and made our lunch fantastic! We had the spicy pizza and a focaccia sandwich that was amazing. Thanks Jacob for your great personality, kindness and hospitality. I’m sure your father would be proud! 04/05/2025: The place is something alienating from how intimate and delicate it is. It feels like being cuddled by the waves of the lake while the sun goes down and the lights go out. As for the food, I can't say we are 100% satisfied: the char (lake appetizer) lacked a citrus note in my opinion; the seafood tortelli should have been cooked a little longer but the flavor was very good... Overall the wait was a bit long, but perhaps it was intentional given that we are always used to 'rushing'.

05/04/2025: Armilla is an innovative restaurant in its menus: they are presented very well and "never disappoint" both in terms of quality and concept. We have been there many times and it has always been a confirmation. The opinion of my guests has always, but truly always, been more than positive. More or less everyone has returned and become regular customers. Certainly the success of the place, from the kitchen to the management, is also thanks to the service which is always courteous and never superficial without being intrusive. I think it's really pleasant, with their innovative proposal, to have lunch or dinner at Armilla!

18/05/2025: Unfortunately, only at the door did we discover that our dog was not welcome and the alleged guy told us this in a rude way. Luckily in 2025 there are few places with this level of courtesy and flexibility left. Regardless of whether they accept dogs or not, education to do this job is fundamental... as well as a minimum of civility and culture. Here I found none of this.

18/05/2025: Last night we went for a birthday dinner, a place where my partner had already been for a dinner, and on that occasion he had already booked for last night. I want to compliment you for everything: dinner was great, plentiful, very accurate, Special compliments to the Chef and excellent place, we will return soon and I wanted to recommend it to those who have not yet been.

17/05/2025: We organized an event for our business on May 15th. Everything was perfect. A wonderful location, the Bosco room seemed to have been created especially for us, impeccable food and service. The customers were all very happy! A special thanks to Loredana who looked after us with so much attention and professionalism. To be repeated!!!!
