25/01/2026: A truly wonderful place. Stumbled upon it by chance after walking past several restaurants on the promenade down by the lake, with waiters accosting people to get a table. We didn't like that idea but we were hungry, so we thought we'd just go to the viewpoint before heading down to eat. But then stumbled upon this fantastic little place, it's so perfect and like something from a fantasy. The food was incredible, especially the local pasta dish. Mr Grey was a lovely addition too! Lovely owners and overall just brilliant. My partner and I plan to return there 3rd August 2026 for dinner - I can't get in contact though as you are closed at the moment... Please tell me, will you be open on 3rd August or on some dates close to 3rd August? It's for an anniversary. I'd also love to know about the rooms and costs etc - where is best to find out? We will only be down for a two or three nights, but might like to stay there if possible!

27/12/2025: Simply amazing place with a beautiful view of Lake Como, friendly staff, family run business and great atmosphere. We only had beer and pizza, it was delicious and reasonably priced. A lovely walk from the upper cable car station.

25/01/2026: On Saturday, I had lunch at this trattoria for the first time. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food, beautifully served, especially the cazzuola, which was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this trattoria.

24/01/2026: When the Menu Takes Center Stage I've been involved in the wedding world for years: I work with banquet catering for large events, I've worked for two well-established wedding planners in my region, and an event planner. Despite my professional involvement, nothing compares to the thrill of experiencing it firsthand: it's my brother's wedding, it's a unique event that can't be repeated. I want everything to be perfect for this special day. And that's where Carlito's comes in: a rustic trattoria that feels like home. Alex is friendly and helpful; he describes the menu and lets the words describe the dishes, immediately giving tangible taste sensations. On the day of the reception, I arrive early to set up. I meet the mother, friendly and helpful; together, we shape the room, mindful of the limited time. After the ceremony, the welcome remains familiar and sincere. And here comes the star: the menu. What is narrated becomes real flavor. Appetizers of cured meats and cheeses, torta fritta (fried gnocchi), and a giardiniera prepared by Alex were remarkable. First courses: Tortelli di Ricotta ed Erbetta, a thin pasta dish with a bold flavor; seconds are almost obligatory, with the sauce mopped up and mopped up. Next up is Risotto al Gotturno with Parmesan Fondue—you have to visit Alex to try it; there are no words to describe it. For the main course, a Veal Reale with a side of baked potatoes, which melts in your mouth. Fruit and desserts, including sbrisolona and cantucci, round off a memorable food and wine journey. Carlito's also offers rooms: I recommend taking advantage of them, because this gastronomic journey can only be accompanied by the excellent still and sparkling wines from the well-stocked cellar. At Alex's suggestion, we dined with an excellent Vigna Fracia Valtellina Superiore DOC Valgella, 2019 vintage. Finally, a special thanks to the very sweet and attentive Camilla, who looked after us so attentively, never letting our glasses go empty.

18/01/2026: I returned after many years with my husband and children, and the memories I had lived up to my expectations even after so many years. The hospitality, food, and atmosphere have always been the best, and continue to be so. My husband and children were delighted and kept repeating that everything was so good and that we'll be back often. Everything was perfect, see you soon.

22/10/2025: A truly family-run business with heart and soul since 1965 A wonderful restaurant with tradition and charm. The elegant, stylish ambiance creates a very pleasant atmosphere where you immediately feel welcome. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. You can feel the passion that goes into their work. I felt completely at home. The food was excellent, and there was a fine selection of excellent wine to accompany it. A place I would happily recommend and will certainly visit again.

12/01/2026: We've had aperitifs there several times. They offer a superb local wine, "Brigante," in both white and red. The servers are friendly, pleasant, and professional. The platters that accompany the drinks are truly varied, generous, and delicious! A wonderful discovery, thank you!

The precise and wonderful service makes you feel immediately at ease. Friendliness and courtesy are never lacking, and respect for every dish served is guaranteed. 19/11/2025: We spent one night nearby in Menaggio. The hotel recommended this restaurant to us. We were also allowed to use the shuttle service (pick-up and drop-off to/from the hotel) free of charge. So we treated ourselves to two fantastic, different set menus, including drinks. It was a feast! There's nothing more to say – simply delicious. Right at the beginning, even before ordering, we were served fresh, warm bread straight from the oven. After dessert, we were presented with a whole bottle each of Thymicello and the house Amaro! We could drink as much as we wanted – free of charge. Seriously – where else do you find that? It's incredible. And yes, you can't drink the whole bottle – obviously, but that's not the point. The gesture and the trust shown are amazing! The service was also very friendly, efficient, and attentive, just like in a Michelin-starred restaurant! It couldn't have been better, and it didn't need to be. A definite recommendation.

30/10/2025: Passing through with friends, we enjoyed this restaurant and ordered the tasting menu, which was very generous. We had a wonderful meal; the food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the view of the lake was lovely. We highly recommend it.
