04/09/2025: Be careful, this side of the lake is less beautiful and less sunny! There are no villas except for the very "Wanna Be" side of Bellagio. The hotel and restaurant are separated by the road, which makes everything dangerous and noisy. The reception is rude - the rooms are basic yet new (unless you stay at the villa). The photos on the websites are misleading - you can see the roof of the restaurant before the lake - the restaurant is very good - the breakfast is a bit sad - the beach deck is not bad - see Villa Carlotta by boat on the other side - there is a landing stage not far from the hotel.

04/09/2025: Wonderful location, the rooms with decks are very comfortable. The restaurant serves delicious dishes and the service is excellent. Reservations are required. The breakfast is very comprehensive.

24/06/2025: It is a beer house with pizzas, giant hamburger sandwiches and a restaurant. Good choice of beer even if there are several types on the menu the brand is not mentioned.

08/06/2025: Large and comfortable outdoor garden for summer evenings; smaller but tidy and pleasant indoor space. Multiple varieties of beers, average price. Definitely good service, despite the many impeccable and kind seats. The cuisine in general leaves a bit to be desired, they could improve it (watch out for the grilled meat, it seemed reheated and not made at the moment). In light of this, the prices are above what the place offers.

03/08/2025: The best trattoria in the area. It serves traditional food above all the amazing "cottoletta alla milanese".

18/07/2025: Fantastic. What more can I say? The food was delicious, and not to mention the service was excellent. Highly recommended!

06/09/2025: It costs on average €20.00/€25.00 per dish and as soon as you are served they make sure to send you away quickly by constantly looking at your plates and wandering around the table.

30/08/2025: We went for dinner to eat two pizzas. We called to reserve that evening and found a table. The pizzas are truly EXCELLENT. It's amazing to think that we ordered a pizza with fried squid (very lightly fried), and a pizza with marinated anchovies, burrata, and cherry tomatoes. Really delicious. The coffee was very good and creamy. The service was quick and friendly. Everything was top-notch! Pizzeria San Marco is a guarantee with a truly excellent quality/price ratio!

13/08/2025: Excellent food featuring lake fish. We had a mixed lake dish, a risotto with perch, and a zuccotto for dessert.

11/08/2025: This place was recommended by acquaintances, but I won't be the one repeating the recommendation. The setting is beautiful, and eating on a lakeside terrace, sheltered from the street noise, is no small feat (even on a very hot day like today, the shelter of the large lime trees makes lunch possible). That said, the appetizer was satisfactory, but the perch risotto was less so, which in my opinion fell short. The service was unacceptable, when they bring the hot main course to your table before you've even finished your appetizer... The price, again in my opinion, was overall excessive for the level of satisfaction.

08/07/2025: Worst experience ever. Don't book!! Booked for a business lunch, my guasts' flight has been re-directed to another city as the airport was shut down , but the staff wanted to charge me anyway for cancellation. And not a little amount. So I had to come anyway and have lunch alone here. Unprofessional, unacceptable. Legal?

01/05/2025: Found the shop “by chance” via a Google search. I find the idea of ​​combining a place where you can have a coffee or a snack with a shop that sells "special" clothing for bikes very beautiful. I'm a "not very practiced" cyclist but I found lots of nice things to buy. The shop was about to close when I arrived, so I could only buy a coffee but I will definitely go back for something more substantial 😋

25/04/2025: Amazing experience! The owner was super friendly, she gave our kids some stickers which they liked. 🌷 the coffee tasted good. We got an ice latte, black coffee, and for desert a lemon custard pie it was definitely worth it. Totally recommend visiting. ✨

08/08/2025: Dinner at Crotto del Lupo is always a wonderful experience. Years pass, but the pleasant atmosphere of the place combined with traditional Valtellina dishes is always a guarantee.

10/07/2025: Zeker goed gegeten met een paar kleine opmerkingen: bedienend personeel mag iets oplettender zijn. Brood mandje waren ze bij ons vergeten, dessertwijn kwam pas toen wij het dessert al bijna ophadden. Daarnaast hadden wij een fles wijn besteld: het zou goed zijn als zij zelf af en toe de glazen controleren en even vragen of alles naar wens is. Het voorgerecht was uitstekend: de smaken perfect op elkaar afgestemd. Het hoofdgerecht vonden wij aan de kleine kant...biedt eventueel wat bijgerechten aan.

05/08/2025: We had a reservation, but when we arrived, the restaurant was packed and in total disarray. We waited inside for more than 30 minutes as the owner, clearly drunk, stumbled around the space, shouting, slamming chairs, and behaving aggressively toward both staff and guests. It created an atmosphere that felt more chaotic than welcoming. The staff seemed exhausted, trying hard to manage the situation, but it was clear they were being pushed to their limits. People come here expecting a nice evening and spend good money to enjoy the experience, but instead, what we got was stress and tension. By the end of the meal, the owner sat outside with a woman (possibly his wife) and began speaking loudly, and bizarrely. As Spanish speakers, we understood some of what he was saying, and it only added to the discomfort. She remained completely silent, which made the whole scene feel even heavier. We had read some reviews hinting at this kind of behavior, but seeing it firsthand was something else. It feels like the owner has given up on managing the place with care. The food might still attract people for now, but if this continues, the restaurant won’t last much longer. So sad.

05/08/2025: We came to this restaurant due to the reviews, expecting something special. Expecting a top restaurant in Como, something we would remember for a long time. We ended up meeting an owner who appeared to be drunk and had problems understanding every single word in English or French, even though he was bragging that he speaks 10 languages. Furthermore, he lacked articulation/understanding even in Italian, as we were also very fluent Italian speakers. However, we managed to have a table, which was very poorly decorated, as was everything else in the restaurant. We ordered food and when asked, due to our manners we said that everything was alright, as our intention was to eat peacefully, drink a bottle of wine and leave. But that was not true, the food was nothing special. Then, the owner kept bragging about how his restaurant was the best in Como and how the food was of super quality, which in fact was as regular as eating at a gas station, not at someplace considered fine dining. He also offered us some glasses of 0.15 ml of Prosecco (a bottle worth 2 euros), telling us later how no one in Italy offers and is generous like him. In reality, in every fine dining in Italy everyone offers Prosecco. Anyhow, we tried to see him as an entertainer, as someone who is trying to make a euro, even tried to understand his style of communication, but it was really hard. He was approaching us as if he were a billionaire with the mentality of the 18th century. In the end, we paid 112 euros, for an antipasti, two other dishes and a bottle of wine, in an environment suffocated by tables, with an interior that looked like a fast-food or a kebab place, even though I have the most respect for fast food and kebab places due to their honesty. As a person who loves to eat, enjoy wine and has a lot of experience in outdoor eating, I honestly need to say that this is a tourist trap, and would not suggest anyone eating here. Even a burger at McDonald’s or a meal at supermarkets in Italy are more worthy. In the end, I would respect the effort of the servers who were extremely professional and polite, probably the best ones we encountered during our two-week stay in Como. However, they deserve better. In the end, I would say: save your money, do not go there.

03/09/2025: Small bar/wine shop on the lakeside with a spectacular view. Excellent breakfast, fresh and delicious croissants. The waitress Alice is friendly, helpful, and very nice. A perfect place to start the day while admiring the lake ☀️🩷

31/08/2025: Came as a solo diner for a bite to eat and a glass of wine. Delicious plates of meat and cheese at a sensible price for the quality, with delicious wine. Above all, respect for outstanding service - not always a given when dining alone.
