07/10/2025: Something beautiful. Such an atmosphere is a treasure. One of the most beautiful places on Lake Como, a must-visit with your loved one.

03/10/2025: Positive: The mini golf course is also okay, and for €5 per adult and €4 for children, it's okay. But that's about all the great things Lido Menaggio has to offer. Contrary: I can say without exaggeration that the bathing area is an absolute disgrace compared to the entrance prices, bordering on a rip-off. A family of four pays €20 to enter. However, after that, you're only allowed to lie on the lawn. A sun lounger costs an additional €4, and a parasol another €4. You quickly notice that the entire complex is unkempt, and in some places even looks neglected. The toilets aren't cleaned (literally covered in trash), there's no toilet paper, the sand soccer field is a disgrace, with broken glass on the floor and staff walking carelessly past it, and cigarette butts on the lawn. After a power outage lasting almost two hours, the thawed ice cream is resold. Truly disgusting!!! We declined politely. The other food options are no better. A regular burger costs €6, a sausage in a bun with mustard is sold as a hot dog and costs €5, and a regular-sized portion of fries also costs €5. The prices are outrageous considering what's on offer. The Menaggio Lido seems to want to be a hip place. But it can't. It seems forced and incompetent. The list of flaws could go on endlessly. In Germany, a lido like this would have to close after one season. I can think of one good thing, though... The water playground in the lake is great; all the kids who can swim and the adults have fun here, and that was ultimately the only reason we went there three times. Otherwise, you can safely avoid this place. But form your own opinion. Have fun!

27/10/2025: We went into Baita del Vichingo to get two coffees. When we said we'd pay by card, the man at the register (presumably the owner) reacted by raising his voice and saying that for two euros he was "pissed off" (literally) and that "for two euros he'd give them to us." We understand that in a distant world, cash might be preferred, but in 2025, sometimes you don't have change. What surprised us was the way he handled the situation, seeking approval from those present and making us feel uncomfortable. A polite explanation would have sufficed. We chose to leave without consuming anything.

26/10/2025: A basic inn, service could be improved, and food is good. Prices are average. The view is exceptional, almost breathtaking.

08/12/2025: Kindness and great professionalism! I have a lactose intolerance, and they're always available to make a specially made, fresh, and delicious lactose-free cake. Even on short notice. Highly recommended.

21/09/2025: A historic Como Monteolimpino location that's been around for years. Excellent as a pastry shop, ice cream parlor, and coffee shop.

11/02/2026: Really excellent food, quiet place, fast service even though it was a Saturday night. The Instagrammable backdrop at the entrance was very cute! Excellent pizza and really good Chinese cuisine! Lots of attention to detail, even in serving dessert!

25/01/2026: We stopped by chance on a Sunday... only one chef preparing sushi... very long wait about 45 minutes for a mixed sushi and sashimi... too bad that with the amount of work there is they are not at all prepared... I don't think I recommend it!

12/10/2025: Excellent location with a panoramic view of the lake, elegant venue, good service, very good appetizer with assorted seafood crostini, good first course with mussels but particularly salty, and pasta, in my opinion, undercooked, cannelloni with lamb ragù excellent, prices a bit high, probably for selection, as evidenced by the fact that it was a beautiful Sunday and there were only a few guests in the dining room. A tip: more reasonable prices. Overall a positive experience.

18/02/2026: Located on the main road, but unfortunately offering very little parking. The restaurant is modern, popular with locals, the service is friendly, the food is good, and the restroom is small but clean. I particularly enjoyed the daily lunch menu, which tasted delicious.

04/01/2026: My review is about the hotel, not the restaurant. We stayed on New Year's Eve. The room was beautiful and spacious. It had a coffee maker and water in the minibar. The breakfast was very good, and the staff was friendly. The rooms are in a building next to the restaurant.

13/01/2026: This place feels a bit old. I found the atmosphere dated, as did the food. Unfortunately, I wasn't satisfied with the dishes; the portions were overly generous but lacked flavor. I have no complaints about the service; it was friendly, fast, and they accommodated all our requests. We went for dinner on Christmas Eve.

12/02/2026: Looks like a nice place to rest from excruciating hike! Was closed when I reached the place around 1pm, just a lovely dog and a handsome man that probably looking after the place 😬 I took my own food just in case it’s closed as not a lot of people walking at this time of the year. Call in advance to check if it’s open before you go, there is no network service there.

03/01/2026: I stayed at this refuge for New Year's Eve and I have to say it met my expectations. Stunning view of the lake, excellent refuge menu, and excellent value. I absolutely recommend it!

08/02/2026: We received a voucher that expired on January 19, 2026. Unfortunately, we couldn't use it before then. I called and they told me it was valid until January 29, so even if you paid the difference, you can't use it (it's been 20 days instead of 10). I'm speechless. I understand that we missed the expiration date, but I don't understand the inflexibility, given the few extra days that have passed and the dismissal of me by saying...have a nice Sunday.... We wanted to try to go, but we won't go again.

23/09/2025: We were only there for dinner because our apartment was a two-minute walk away. The starter was already really good, and the main course topped it off. Very tasty food. The service staff spoke a little German, which was absolutely sufficient. We'd be happy to go back 😀

01/02/2026: We went there for dinner today for the first time. After hearing many friends rave about it, we were curious enough to try it ourselves. The atmosphere was welcoming, the waiter very kind, the food excellent, the service fast, and the owner was so friendly! Everyone was so kind and sweet! We even brought our dog, who made friends with the owner's dog! We had fish with a side dish... everything was very delicate yet flavorful, and we'll definitely be back! And I'm even thinking about going there for my birthday!

30/01/2026: I have lunch there once a week for work, and I have to be honest, I'm impressed. The products are high-quality, the dishes are tasty, and the staff is not only friendly but also very attentive. I recommend it to everyone!
