I'd give it six stars if I could. The tagliatelle with venison ragù were excellent and plentiful. Finally, a first course with ragù that you can see and taste. The braised venison, what can I say? It's the best I've had in years. It was delicious and melted in your mouth. And last but not least, the friendliness and courtesy. Compliments.

A delightful place, where you can find the right rhythm, with the owners making it a comfortable place to spend lunch. The menu is rich in mountain dishes, but crafted with haute cuisine. We had sciatt, gnocchi, and braised beef. Try everything. It's definitely an experience worth repeating.

I've known this refuge for many years, but I hadn't been back here in at least 10 years. We chose a weekday, same route, same places, always beautiful even with little sun, very few people, stove on, and plenty of heat (not just from the stove). We found two young people running the refuge, and I must compliment them on their manners and excellent cuisine.... As always, I'm a fan of the "polenta unica" typical of these places. It wasn't on the weekday menu, but they made it for me anyway.....DELIGHTFUL!! The homemade desserts rounded out the lunch perfectly. Another well-deserved 5 stars, and as always, I recommend this refuge (reservations recommended).

Looks like a nice place to rest from excruciating hike! Was closed when I reached the place around 1pm, just a lovely dog and a handsome man that probably looking after the place 😬 I took my own food just in case it’s closed as not a lot of people walking at this time of the year. Call in advance to check if it’s open before you go, there is no network service there.

I stayed at this refuge for New Year's Eve and I have to say it met my expectations. Stunning view of the lake, excellent refuge menu, and excellent value. I absolutely recommend it!

02/08/2026: A truly fantastic restaurant! The restaurant is beautifully appointed, welcoming, and elegant, without being overbearing, with a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The staff deserves special mention: kind, helpful, attentive, and always smiling, they made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. We chose seafood dishes and were won over: everything was incredibly fresh, carefully prepared, and truly delicious. The menu isn't extensive, but that's precisely why it conveys the attention to the quality of the ingredients. Furthermore, looking at the dishes served at other tables, it was clear that every course was meticulously prepared and truly inviting. An experience that pleasantly surprised us in every way. We highly recommend it!
