09/10/2025: Good morning, today Ki Kitchen Inspires is reviewing In Vena di Vino, Via Della Nave 13, 22072 Cermenate, Italy. "Noteworthy" On Thursday evening, I went to this place, which had been recommended to me. The location isn't the best because it's a bit out of the way, in a semi-industrial area, but it does have ample parking, which is a plus. The place has its own character, with great attention to detail and choice of details. They wanted to create an atmosphere that's atypical for a wine bar, but certainly very welcoming and innovative. Chairs shaped like bottle caps, wooden counters, centerpieces made from cut bottles, blackboards and bottles scattered around make the atmosphere very interesting. The service is attentive and very friendly, led by some very friendly young people, while the owner supervises the smooth running of the place. Obviously, this is strictly bar service. The dishes served are cold, but the raw materials are carefully selected and of high quality. The attention to detail is meticulous, with unique offerings and pairings. Prices are, at first glance, slightly above average, but quality is the reason for this choice and therefore not a mistake. All of this is very positive, but for every positive aspect, in my opinion, there are improvements that could be made. Unfortunately, the venue focuses almost exclusively on the bar. I understand this choice, but perhaps it's forgotten that it's truly a wine bar. What's missing, in my humble opinion, is a tasting menu with a pairing option at a more affordable, all-inclusive price. A "Wine Cellar" or "Area" menu would be welcome, so as to shift the focus from the bar to the wine bar. An expert, an enthusiast, or even just a novice could make this venue a point of reference, because currently it seems like just a beautiful bar that also serves as a wine bar, when it should be the other way around. I still want to give it a 4/5 because the place is constantly evolving, and I'm almost certain it will be a great success in the future. Definitely noteworthy.

05/10/2025: A wonderful discovery. Excellent wine and a platter of freshly made cold cuts and cheeses, with a fair amount of them. Relaxing atmosphere and excellent service. We'll be back.

23/11/2025: Poor pizza with an aftertaste of pan and oil... poor service... to get a slice you have to pass the plate to the waiter... not recommended!

02/11/2025: I'm giving it 1 star because I didn't like the pizza, which was made with poor quality ingredients. Side effects after eating it: Severe stomach ache Drink 3 liters of water - watered down Coke. I recommend it only for an evening with friends, not for the food.

01/11/2025: The atmosphere is unique and charming. It's a shame about the strong musty smell, but then again, you're in a cellar. Very few dishes. My husband and I ordered a "mixed cold cuts platter." I expected at least five items, but only three arrived. The menu was very limited; out of two first courses, one was blank, so no choice. The portions were meager. Whitefish fillet with "organic" potatoes; of the two fillets, one was full of bones, and the potatoes were bitter. Finally, the dessert was a real treat: a chocolate cream with coconut flakes and biscuit crumble. The cream was a simple pudding that was left a little softer and tasted burnt; the coconut was missing. Two glasses of wine and a small bottle of "organic" Coke, a coffee = €102. Note that the table next to ours was complimentary with coffee and liquor simply because they were friends of the owner, while we were not offered anything; in fact, the coffee cost €2.50. We're looking for places to have a nice evening, but we definitely won't be returning.

22/10/2025: We had a really great time at this restaurant. Very cosy and authentic. Service was exceptional just like the wines. Definitely recommend if you are in the north of the como lake. The food they serve is local and biological.

27/10/2025: We went into Baita del Vichingo to get two coffees. When we said we'd pay by card, the man at the register (presumably the owner) reacted by raising his voice and saying that for two euros he was "pissed off" (literally) and that "for two euros he'd give them to us." We understand that in a distant world, cash might be preferred, but in 2025, sometimes you don't have change. What surprised us was the way he handled the situation, seeking approval from those present and making us feel uncomfortable. A polite explanation would have sufficed. We chose to leave without consuming anything.

26/10/2025: A basic inn, service could be improved, and food is good. Prices are average. The view is exceptional, almost breathtaking.

26/09/2025: Some of the nicest people and best service I have ever received. Very reasonable price. And the best pizza outside England ;) They also went above and beyond on multiple occasions.

26/10/2025: A very beautiful, well-kept, and tastefully decorated restaurant. We had an excellent meal. The house wine, Bianco, was very good. And the service was very friendly.

13/10/2025: With its location, it has all the potential for top-notch service and positive word of mouth. Unfortunately, a great location isn't enough. It also needs a bit of friendliness, helpfulness, and maybe a little extra smile when dealing with guests. This alone would have made people forget the musty smell in the rooms, or the less-than-welcoming bathroom, or the little things you expect to be adequate in a room, even a 2-star one. What a shame.

13/10/2025: Never had a worse meal. We hadn't even had time to order before the plates arrived... already prepared with four fingers of butter on the bottom.

18/10/2025: The food is divine, the view is beautiful, and it's a place to relax. The prices are very reasonable. The mountain road is worth it; it's truly sublime.

12/10/2025: The place is small and cozy, you are served immediately and the owner is a super petalous and ultra-kind potato so in addition to the bonus of good food, your taste buds will also have the pleasure of appreciating treatment that he gives you like your mother!

23/10/2025: We went to Ristorante Pizzeria Dal Marinaio for a quiet dinner on the waterfront. The atmosphere is simple but welcoming, with courteous and helpful staff. We ordered spaghetti and calamari: both were good, with generous portions and authentic flavors. A pleasant experience. Prices are average for the area, and the atmosphere is relaxed. An honest place, ideal for an unpretentious dinner, where you can eat reasonably well and relax.

14/09/2025: The view is beautiful, but the cocktails are watered down, and the aperitifs consist only of crisps and peanuts.
