carbonara was not as good as the other ive tried here in italy. got the four seasons pizza which turned out so soggy and badly presented. understandably, restaurant is on the cheaper side so don’t expect too much!

Awesome food at a reasonable price! Great, authentic Italian food that was superbly tasty. You do have to walk up a small flight of stairs to get there and be there early unless you have a reservation- the crowds build up quickly.

It's hard to find an open restaurant in Bellagio in early March, so we were glad to find La Grotto. The interior is classier, the waiters were polite but not exceptionally nice. We ordered risotto and pasta, both of which we liked.

Excellent restaurant with a rather varied menu although unfortunately we couldn't stay to eat because our puppy was getting a little nervous. The staff were very nice and understanding and even told us that there was no need to leave as we weren't bothering anyone. We paid and took the pizza home. I recommend going and it's especially great for families.

Nous sommes allés dans ce restaurant qui était réputé et connu sur les réseaux sociaux. Un apéritif, deux bonnes pizzas appétissantes et rassasiantes, une bière italienne pour accompagner le tout. Je recommande ce restaurant pour la qualité de ces plats et le staff

We came across this fabulous & typical Lombardy restaurant when looking for somewhere to eat. It’s just of the main harbour area. With no booking & a nearly full restaurant we were warmly greeted & offered the choice of two tables. Staff were helpful & friendly throughout our dinner. We had penne bolognaise & lasagna together with a garlic focaccia. All absolutely delicious & portions just right. A delicious tiramisu to share finished a meal & a lovely 1/2 carafe of red wine. Thoroughly recommended

06/04/2024: After an aperitif in the bar opposite, we were among the first guests and were served in a nice and friendly manner. The food was really good and plentiful and worth the price. We'd love to come back when we're nearby.
05/04/2024: We found the restaurant by chance as our hotel was right around the corner. The menu is understandably only in Italian, as we were the only non-native speakers that evening, but everything we didn't understand was explained to us. We really liked the ambience, the home-baked bread, the beautifully presented front table, the exotic cocktail with corn on the cob and the fact that the pizza with seasonal vegetables included really seasonal vegetables (at the beginning of April red cabbage, pumpkin puree, broccoli, pickled peppers, Zucchini and savoy cabbage) which went well together. The pizza was only lightly salted, which brought out the flavor of the vegetables very well. If we are in the area again we would be happy to come back.
