24/09/2025: While preparing for a half-day of motocross at the nearby track, we arrived a little early and, finding the parking lot not full, we ventured into the osteria. We were immediately struck by the pleasant, family atmosphere and welcomed to a table in front of the fire pit. Given our upcoming commitments, we didn't dare try anything that would most appeal to us, and instead settled for a generous portion of tagliatelle with meat sauce, followed by an appetizer of mixed cured meats. The opportunity was fleeting for us, but the quality of the food and the passion with which the family runs the osteria certainly merit a visit, or rather, multiple visits :-) Highly recommended!

09/11/2025: We were there last night, November 9th. It seemed like a club. The tables were all next to each other. You couldn't talk because of the chaos. The disappointing mixed fried fish was rubbery. The tagliolini were watered down. A unique disappointment. Milan offers better food. I don't recommend it.

06/11/2025: Tonight, to celebrate my dad's birthday, I'm having dinner at this restaurant with my family. The food is excellent, the service is excellent. The waiters are very friendly and make you feel at home. I'd especially like to mention a young man named Corrado, who made our stay pleasant and welcoming. Highly recommended, we'll be back.

06/11/2025: An almost mystical experience... right from the first hello and... from the others! 😄 Top food: from appetizers to main courses, everything is amazing, but the real magic is the staff! A close-knit, friendly group, who switches effortlessly between languages ​​and dialects. In short, a highly recommended place both for the food—well-crafted Milanese and Valtellina—and for the atmosphere in the dining room. A special thanks to Nazzareno, the absolute best! We'll definitely be back... even just to be welcomed again with a few nice glasses of wine.

02/11/2025: I've been to this restaurant twice, so I finally feel like I can judge! It's a very welcoming place with a refined, modern atmosphere. The service is provided by very young, truly capable and polite people. Excellent! The cuisine is a mix of Milanese and Valtellina cuisine. I was lucky enough to try several dishes over the course of both dinners: mondeghili (outstanding), sciatt, tacos with tartare, cutlet, elephant ear (enormous), and Braulio gelato. A special mention goes to the orecchietta: it's so big that my girlfriend and I couldn't finish it, after each ordering an appetizer. But it's truly delicious and worth the visit. Luckily, the staff is equipped to provide doggy bags, as per current standards. I definitely need to return a third time to try some of the first courses! Prices are in line with Milanese and Isola neighborhood standards. Recommended!

14/10/2025: A very charming and well-decorated restaurant where we had lunch last Sunday before taking a guided tour of the castle. We ordered both meat and fish main courses; both were truly satisfying, and the freshly prepared fruit salad was also very fresh. The quality/price ratio was good, and the wait staff was truly courteous and professional, so we absolutely recommend it.

13/10/2025: Fantastic location – top-notch food – incredibly kid-friendly – ​​superb service! We were spontaneously on our way home and stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. We received a warm welcome without a reservation and were seated immediately – simply wonderfully kid-friendly! The food was amazing, amazingly delicious – every dish prepared with love. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stop by.

12/10/2025: Lots of microwave use and no live kitchen. Wife and I noticed things getting heated in microwaves and we left.

02/11/2025: One of the best places in Varese and its province. We feel at home every time because we eat so well and are welcomed so warmly. Every Sunday they have live music that's delightful and engaging. There should be more places like this, but on the other hand, La Vecchia Varese is unique. Thanks guys!

01/11/2025: A welcoming place with friendly, helpful staff. The food is simply excellent, from the burgers to the legendary cutlet, not to mention the tartare with mustard ice cream... incredible! The quality and variety of beers, traditional and local liqueurs, are also excellent. I'll definitely be back!

The waitress and chef were very friendly, telling us about how the dishes were cooked and where the ingredients came from, and offering us bits for taste while we waited for our food. It was more than just dinner. It was a unique experience. Highly recommend it

22/09/2025: We went to this trattoria for lunch at the recommendation of some friends to celebrate a birthday (about twenty people). The place is very welcoming, a typical osteria with minimal yet very refined and distinctive decor. The parking lot outside is spacious and convenient, as parking in the surrounding area is difficult. The staff is friendly, helpful, and patient (especially considering our three rambunctious children). The food is definitely top-notch. The osso buco risotto was very good. The elephant ear cutlet was gigantic and delicious. The other first courses we tried (mushroom risotto and pizzoccheri) were also highly recommended! In short, if you want an osteria where you can eat well and relax, this is the place.

13/10/2025: Very nice place...unfortunately, I don't know if it was very busy that day, but the service wasn't the best. They forgot we weren't even getting dessert, and the food wasn't there either. The rabbit had escaped from the plate, and the dessert was replaced with strawberry ice cream, which wasn't particularly special, without clearly letting us know. We hope it was just one unpleasant incident...we'll be back and hope to share a better, different experience.

19/09/2025: A truly SPECTACULAR experience. We had the appetizer platter and tartare, which were truly exceptional! Not to mention the first courses, the tagliatelle and paccheri, which were truly worth it. Then the desserts... a top-notch finish. The service was meticulous and attentive to detail, and above all, the staff was always attentive to the customer's needs and truly friendly. A truly unique experience, in a wonderful location. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return! P.S. An unforgettable anniversary!

12/10/2025: We discovered this restaurant one evening in Seriate when it was already quite late, and it turned out to be an amazing find! The food was so delicious that we came back again. We were treated wonderfully by Rafo, and the whole atmosphere was fantastic — great music, excellent service, and truly exceptional food. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting this beautiful city!

12/10/2025: Raffo was an amazing host for me and my friends. We were here 2 nights in a row as the food, the staff and ambiance were amazing. We had so much fun here! The complimentary foccacia and drinks were a great surprise and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants to have a great dinner in an amazing ambiance.

27/07/2025: I've been wanting to have lunch at this restaurant for a long time, where my daughter and husband had already been guests, praising the goodness of their plans. We had booked for 1 pm and were seated promptly. The waitress came to us right away to take our order because, since there were only two of us, they wanted to make sure our order went out before a table of 16. After the appetizer, almost an hour went by without the second course arriving. We politely asked a couple of times because we were hungry and to make sure our order hadn't been lost, because that can happen, but we were told that there were a lot of people and that, having ordered the appetizer, we had ended up in line. Not understanding the dynamic, I asked how this was possible, given that the famous table of 16, which was supposed to receive the courses after us, had already drunk their coffee??? The answer was that we had the appetizer, they didn't and we would have ended up in line. They could have simply replied that the order had been lost, I really didn't understand the excuse! By 2 PM, the tiramisu my daughter had raved about was finished. I left feeling a bit disappointed, and without even a "sorry"... because, as I said, I'd been wanting to try those excellent dishes for a long time. It's a shame what happened. I really hope next time it goes differently, and I'll be sure to order all the dishes together, including my missed tiramisu!
