This was my first time here because it's not very close to me. Breathtaking views, right on the lake shore. Everything was exceptional, from the staff, who immediately made you feel at ease and were always ready to accommodate your every need, to the truly excellent food. The prices are a little higher than other restaurants, but that's acceptable for what they offer.

The food is exquisite and delicious. A lakeside table with a stunning view. Excellent wine selection and fabulous desserts.

A lovely restaurant right on the water. The ambiance and dishes are luxuriously presented. The waiter was attentive, friendly, and even spoke German. However, at this price point, the food shouldn't come before the drinks. The food tasted good. The side dish with the steak could have been a bit more substantial for the price.

July 2026: A noticeable step backward compared to last year. The tuna tartare was uninspired and very basic, lacking any finesse. The beef carpaccio was sliced ​​too thickly and also uninspired. The pasta ragù, however, was very tasty and perfectly al dente. October 2025: Great location and atmosphere, attentive and friendly service, delicious food, and fair prices. What more could you want?

The most elegant restaurant we've ever been to with the kids, I think. The service was both premium and warm. The decor was sleek and sophisticated. The staff were incredibly attentive (they moved us closer to the lake when a table became available). A wonderful experience. And the pizzas! Yum! Excellent value for money. Conclusion: Great service and a top-notch (upscale) ambiance right on the lake. However, if you're looking for truly excellent main courses for your money, you should go elsewhere. We found the Montesole a bit overpriced, and the food didn't quite live up to the overall atmosphere. In detail: The restaurant is very well located, very clean, and definitely stylish. The waiters are very attentive and quick. The service is good, and the waiters are truly excellent! Unfortunately, the food is a significant letdown. Don't get me wrong: the food wasn't bad... But we ate at several restaurants in the area, and the food at the Montesole simply wasn't good in direct comparison. More specifically: The tartare as a first course was merely okay, because it wasn't particularly intense in terms of either the meat or the seasoning. The accompanying bread was standard fare. Nothing really impressed us. The octopus as a second course was also tasty and tender, but I could have made it just as well at home, and probably even presented it more attractively. I would have liked a bit more presentation, as the cooked pumpkin was simply peeled and placed on the plate, with the octopus next to it. The cheese spread over it was just scattered on top. Aesthetically, it really wasn't appealing, in my opinion—very carelessly arranged. The taste wasn't bad, but it was also rather unimaginative for a restaurant of this size. To drink, we first had an Aperol Spritz (which was delicious), followed by a red wine. Unfortunately, the red wine was well above room temperature and therefore much too warm (a wine cooler for the open bottles wouldn't be too much to ask in a restaurant of this caliber). I then chilled the red wine with an ice cube. That's practically a cardinal sin, but it was appropriate in this case. The rosé wine that followed was well chilled and also delicious. Afterwards, we had a plum liqueur and dessert. I have to highlight the dessert; it was very tasty! And the "dessert menu" was particularly great, as the waiter brought a tray on which all the desserts were arranged as examples, so we could see them all. Brilliant idea, superbly executed! The kitchen certainly knows its stuff when it comes to dessert. All in all, I think Restaurant Montesole is a solid place to eat, but it could shift its focus a bit more from the ambiance back to the main task of a good restaurant: unforgettable Italian cuisine. The two of us spent €120 including tip (which is actually quite a lot, considering we shared a starter and main course), but we had a good time overall. We'll come back next year to see if the hearty cuisine has regained its creative spark. For the remaining days until then, however, we'll try other restaurants in the area that put more love and care into their food.

A very pleasant evening with excellent service. When it turned out that we had arrived on foot because we wanted to order a taxi for the journey home, the owner himself promptly drove us to our house in the next town, as the road was too dangerous to walk at night and the taxi situation wasn't ideal. Truly impressive!
