The real added value is Silvana, the owner: cheerful, authentic, and incredibly welcoming. She makes you feel at home from the first moment, transforming every visit into a pleasant and memorable experience.
A place where you eat excellently, but above all, where you feel at home. One of those rare places you'll happily return to, and one you'll enthusiastically recommend. Highly recommended!
11/02/2026: An intimate and comfortable little place, as its name suggests. The hostess, Syl to her friends, is welcoming, cheerful, and attentive. She's a chef who pays attention to the quality of the ingredients, the tastes, and the needs of her guests, and is imaginative in the kitchen (and out!). Highly recommended!

02/03/2026: From breakfast to aperitivo, everything was perfect! My favorite bartender, Lorena, makes amazing cocktails, accompanied by fantastic appetizers of focaccia and local cured meats. Highly recommended!!!
02/03/2026: I was passing through and stopped at this bar. The croissant was decent, the coffee also has prices, but they're completely out of line. I paid €4.50 for an empty focaccia.
So, 4 stars for the products, 2 stars for the prices.

24/03/2026: No matter where you are or where you are going, coming for a meal here is a Must! The service was amazing and the food was spectacular. Being here is a whole experience one must have while in Italy! My girlfriend and I came on a 10 day trip and stayed our last 3 days by Lake Como, we made a last minute reservation and took a train over and were amazed by the experience and food. The best meal we had on our trip by far. Try their wines, desserts are amazing. Man we are coming back again next Italy trip, might have to come to Italy just to experience Ristorante il Crotto.

I was happy to experience Italian culture through the food. I will definitely visit again next time.

04/04/2026: A truly pleasant location surrounded by greenery. There are ponies and cows to the delight of the children.
We had lunch with shared appetizers of braciola, braised beef, and casoeula. The gelato was a fitting end to our meal.
We were looked after by Mario, who was kind, attentive, and knowledgeable.
I absolutely recommend this restaurant. I recommend making a reservation and suggesting arriving early: around 12-12:20.

02/04/2026: A very rustic place. Given the rusticity of the place, I expected delicious food, but despite the many homemade products, I was a bit disappointed. I must say, the place is very popular, so maybe I'm too picky. I can't comment on the price, having been there as a guest.

08/10/2025: We ate there twice in one week at the beginning of October 2025. Communication with Paolo via WhatsApp was great.
Service was very good. The food was excellent. The wine list was very select. The dessert was amazing. Typically Italian but completely different...the view of Lake Como was breathtaking from so high up. Highly recommended.
07/10/2025: Exceptional view, run by a local family, excellent food.
Fair prices and a terrace with a view.

The prices are reasonable for the quality of the product, and the atmosphere is welcoming and warm. Highly recommended for families or evenings with friends!

06/03/2026: A wonderfully cozy hotel with consistently friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was always fresh and attractively prepared. We felt completely at ease and would book it again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it. We had dinner in the restaurant once and had filled ravioli – delicious! One or two vegetarian options would have been nice… otherwise, everything was perfect!
02/03/2026: A wonderful experience at this hotel. The room was spacious, the amenities top-notch with thoughtful and comprehensive toiletries, a comfortable shower, and a lovely balcony overlooking the lake. The staff was attentive, and dinner offered excellent value for money.
The only slight drawback was the breakfast buffet, which was a little underwhelming compared to the overall standard of the establishment.
I highly recommend this place.

25/10/2025: We came for lunch with our 3-year-old daughter. The person in charge of the dining room didn't offer us anything for our daughter (a small plate or spoon). She didn't seem happy to have us as customers. The dishes were good and nicely presented. After our dishes, she cleared away without offering us coffee or dessert. 7 euros for cutlery is very expensive, especially with unfriendly service. I do not recommend.

21/09/2025: It's difficult to write this posthumous review; I should start way back in 2002, when I first discovered the bar. In 2017, it was the first place I celebrated my graduation with friends, and well, what can I say... we'll miss you, Perry! Even before the spritzes, how about the Grog?!? I also remember the delicious "spicy" sandwich, not to mention the love with which you and your wife served cappuccinos accompanied by biscuits. A gesture as simple as it was unique, demonstrating your love and passion for your customers and your work. Best of luck for the rest of your lives, and thank you for everything!!! Not a regular customer, but a grateful one.

There's not a lot of seating, so it feels a bit exclusive.
The staff is very kind and welcoming.
They have a varied menu, and I fell in love with everything I tried.
It was a truly wonderful discovery.
The tagliolini with sardines are amazing.
