17/08/2025: I discovered this fantastic trattoria about three years ago, and today I finally returned with some friends, and it did not disappoint. Very attentive service and delicious food. We had a trio of first courses: pumpkin tortelli, campusei, and maccheroncini with stew sauce. For the second course, sirloin in olive oil with baked potatoes and caponata, delicious and a must-try. Finally, for dessert, a delicious sbrisolona cake, served in a very original way in little jars, soaked in coffee and topped with vanilla ice cream. By the end, we were truly full and happy. The portions were more than adequate, and the price was fair: we spent about €34 each (including four glasses of wine, two coffees, and six bottles of water). The owner, Renè, is incredibly friendly and always ready to offer excellent recommendations on wine and dishes. Highly recommended!

23/10/2025: For my birthday dinner, we chose Locanda del Carmine. The location is on the charming and central Piazza del Carmine, yet never crowded. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, and we sat on the veranda overlooking the square. The staff is friendly, and the service is impeccable. All the dishes were excellent in terms of the quality of the ingredients, the presentation, and the meticulous preparation, and the portions were adequate. The menu also includes vegan/vegetarian dishes. The wine list is impressive, with options from around the world, catering for all tastes and budgets. Note that half bottles are available, although the selection is limited. There's also a spirits list with a wide range of interesting options. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the dishes and the service.

The place is beautiful, welcoming, and clean; the staff is friendly, well-mannered, and very professional; the food is good, with a good variety of choices and generous portions. The view is definitely worth returning to, even during the day. It's worth the few hairpin bends to get there!

26/09/2025: We had dinner with the whole family, including four children. The premises, as always, are clean, tidy, and welcoming. The food is always incredibly fresh, high-quality, and cooked to perfection, with attention to every detail. Our first courses: tagliatelle with mushrooms and casoncelli with herbs, both sublime. For second courses, we chose the grilled meat, the spit-roasted meat, and the Florentine steak, all cooked with care, served perfectly and on time. The accompanying vegetables are equally excellent; I recommend the baked potatoes, tender on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside, unique. The Florentine steak deserves an extra compliment; such excellent quality and perfectly cooked meat can only be found in certain restaurants in Tuscany. The desserts, all homemade, were also wonderful. The wait staff, as always, was extremely kind and helpful. Pierluigi, at the end of the evening, came to check on our satisfaction, and as always, he made the difference. Aside from the stunning location, with a breathtaking view, this is one of those places you return to again and again because not only does it feel like home, but the food is always better than the last. 27/10/2025: The restaurant is located inside a sports center (so it seemed to me). The atmosphere is very refined, with modern and pleasant furnishings. We tried the four-flavor pizza platter. Delicious, to say the least. Crispy and flavorful pizza. The friendly and helpful staff made this a truly enjoyable evening. We'll definitely be back. Kudos to the pizza chefs and the entire staff!

21/10/2025: A charming little bistro that seeks to evoke a transalpine atmosphere with a style that isn't always successful. In search of originality, we sampled the house specialties: croque monsieur and croque madame. Quality ingredients and very friendly staff, although we had to ask for cutlery, perhaps because of the rush hour. The croque monsieur was well-cooked, while the croque madame was unevenly gratinated, too crispy on one side. Both were delicious, however. €32 with a glass of wine, water, and a coffee. The underlying concept is original, but the feeling is that there's untapped potential.

30/09/2025: Friendly and cosy place for dinner. Chef came out and explained the daily menu and he was super friendly. Food tasted great and was filling. It had a home made taste and feel (in a good way!). This restaurant really was amongst the better ones we ate at in comparison to other restaurants at the same price point.
