Un ristorante dalla passata gloria, andavo con mio padre tanto anni fa, era una vera istituzione a Milano. Oggi conserva un piacevole sapore retrò, con servizio ineccepibile, ma ove il cibo risulta meno interessante di prima, forse un po’ pesante, senza quel pizzico di eccellenza che forse uno si aspetta da un locale storico nel cuore di Milano. Siamo stati bene, abbiamo mangiato nella media, con piatti a tratti molto pesanti. Suggerirei di tornare alle origini con una chiave moderna dei piatti, più leggeri e meno pasticciati. La carne non era cattiva, ma anche qui, nulla di straordinario.

I have to go back for the boiled meat which I would like to try. For the rest, historic place, regular customers, very Milanese...stable and traditional!

Nice classic tuscan restaurant. The place breathes Milan in the sixties and 70’ies which has a charm with the well dressed waiters and the walls filled with black&white pictures from those days. At the same time the interior is becoming outdated. Especially the ceiling needs attention as well as the curtains in front of the windows. The food however is very good although the prices rate too steep. We went for a lunch and ended up paying almost 120 euro without ordering something special. The service is most elegant and I loved the desert trolley!

Abbiamo festeggiato il compleanno di mio papà in questo bel ristorante di Brera. Il posto è stato scelto perché offre un'attenzione particolare per i celiaci. Il menù è vario e presenta sia piatti della tradizione che specialità stagionali, sia di carne che di pesce con netta impronta toscana. Il servizio è stato professionale e simpatico nell'interazione coi miei bambini. I piatti erano tutti di buona qualità e ben preparati, un piccolo scivolone visto il posto è quello di offrire patatine fritte surgelate...suvvia! Nota positiva per il loro "vino della casa", un rosso Toscana IGT di Rocca delle Macie. Conto in linea con la location e i piatti gustati.

Lovely weather so we took advantage of the outdoor seat for our lunch. Professional and friendly service with an extensive menu and high quality food. Beautiful presentation and generous portions… highly recommend!
